Age of the dragon 3 armor of the inquisitor. Weapons and shields in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Types of crafting and upgrades

Like any self-respecting modern RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition also has armor and weapons crafting. Unlike the first part, craft here is not limited to inserting runes - now we are given the opportunity to create a thing from scratch, by ourselves choosing the appearance, type, material, which gives the necessary bonuses and improvements. Although the runes also remained, where can we go without them? In general, in my humble opinion, craft is made dull and not interesting, like everything in this sad game, there are many opportunities, but running around collecting all this junk is not very fun.

Sketches of weapons and armor

At the very beginning, to create items, improvements or runes, you will need sketches of these very items, improvements and runes. Where can I get them? In chests, at merchants, missions at the headquarters, sometimes even at bosses. Sketches are displayed in the list of items available for crafting, they can be used as much as you like and, what pleases, they do not take up space in your inventory.

There are only 3 levels of sketches in the game. The higher it is, the more cells there will be in the subject, the higher the quality and with a large number of bonuses it will be possible to create an item. Sketches of the 1st level assume the presence of 2 cells, 2nd level - 3 cells, sketches of the 3rd level - 4 cells.

The crafting system here is logical - heavy armor will require a large amount of metal, a little less leather and rarely need cloth, and vice versa for a magician's outfit. For swords and weapon hilts, a base is needed, as well as leather or fabric braid and the like.

There are 4 types of cells in total: the main one, which defines the basic parameters and three additional ones, the set of which may be different depending on the sketch. Namely:

Damage- the main slot for weapons, determines the damage per second depending on the material, as well as the type of elemental attack of the staff.

Attack- an additional slot for weapons and weapon upgrades. Depending on the material, it adds bonuses to the types of attacks or the likelihood of imposing status effects on the enemy.

Armor- the main slot for armor, determines the level of armor depending on the material and protection against physical damage in melee.

Protection- an additional slot for armor and armor upgrades. Depending on the material, it adds bonuses of resistance from elemental, ranged and magical attacks, as well as the likelihood of retaliatory bleeding or additional health.

Support- an additional slot for all types of items. Depending on the material, it adds points of characteristics (dexterity, magic, etc.).

For upgrades of any level, only two additional cells are always available, with the help of improvements you can add only bonuses and / or points of characteristics, but not damage or armor level (with the exception of Bianca).

Types of improvements and crafting

Armor

There are 3 types of armor available for crafting (light, medium and heavy), as well as helmets of each of the three types. For almost all types of armor, two upgrade slots are available: bracers and leggings (with the exception of special armor like the elven mantle of the Guardian or armor of the Legion of the Dead). Improvements are created separately, but in a similar way.

Sometimes, ready-made improvements can be found in chests or received as a reward for completing a mission in a bet. Improvements can also be removed from dropped items and put on others.

Weapon

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, there are even more types of weapons than armor, and with improvements they are not so simple.

Weapon type

Slots

Name

One-handed - swords

Longsword hilt

One-handed - maces, hammers, axes

One-handed hilt (shaft)

Two-handed - great swords

Greatsword hilt

Two-handed - large axes and hammers

Two-handed handle (shaft)

Magic staves

Staff ShaftStaff Handle

Daggers / Dual Daggers

Dagger Grip / Twin Blade Grips

Bow handle

Bianca is worth a separate mention because the weapon is unique. You can increase DPS and characteristics only with the help of improvements. Bianca has as many as 3 upgrade slots available - Shoulders, Sight, Handle. The main cell is available for the shoulders, increasing the DPS, for the handle there is also one support cell, for the sight - one attack cell. Although when I played the game somewhere in the middle, Bianca was many times worse than average bows ...

Crafting materials

There are 3 types of materials to create weapons and armor in the game: metal, leather and fabric, in turn, they are also divided into 3 levels. The higher the level of the material, the higher the level of armor or bonus indicator. The type of armor also varies depending on the material.

Metal

Metal is found using the search button (or watchful eye) in caves and on mountain slopes in the form of small clusters of several species each for one location. In the Emerald Graves in the Argon Shack, you can buy Perfect Chandeliers, Obsidian, and Pyrophyte, and Cero Stained Glass is sold in Skyhold from a trader in Orlais.

Level 1 metals

Level 2 metals

Level 3 metals

Leather

The skin is obtained from slaughtered animals of a certain type. From a merchant in the Hinterlands (Crossroads), you can buy almost all types of leather of the 1st level, in the Dalish camp in the Sacred Plains you can buy needleback leather, phoenix scales and lamb skin.

Level 1 skins

Level 2 skins

Level 3 skins

Fabrics

Cloths fall from slain enemies. Silk, semi-velvet and cotton can be bought at Val Royeaux.

Tier 1 fabrics

Tier 2 fabrics

Excellent things

The ability to create excellent things will appear in Skyhold after inviting the enchantress (mission at the headquarters). When you create an item, a separate slot appears for an excellent item, right above the main one. Regular materials will not work here. For an excellent thing, you need metals, leather or fabric touched by the Shadow, which come across at random when collecting, as well as special finds like a dragon's tooth or iron bark. Only one unit of such material can be inserted into a cell, but its filling is optional.

Special materials give a short-term ability, such as Walking Fortress, Unyielding or Shadow Cloak, a chance to gain a bonus to Focus Accumulation or heal up to 15% health on a killing blow. Possible bonuses are generated randomly, and there are many of them.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - craft armor and weapons was last modified: May 5th, 2015 by admin

There are two ways to get some pretty good gear almost immediately after the Haven Sandbox. Eh, I'm writing this instead of a long-conceived guide to craft. Or instead of describing my adventures on the way to the heart of Cassandra. But what has grown has grown. So, right off the bat, let's move on to the first method - getting great recipes almost immediately after taking Skyhold by investing precious Inquisitorial perks.

This method is absolutely honest, but it requires serious expenses. You will have to spend as many as 3 Inquisitorial perks - learn in the Forces - Mage / Rogue / Warrior Schematics branch. This will give us the schemes of the top-end weapons and armor of the 2nd tier - blue masterwork. With such equipment, even if we craft it from tier 1 materials, it is quite possible to run up to level 16. Why until the 16th? And here's just about that below.

In the meantime, about the disadvantages of the 1st method. The main problem is that to open the blueprints, we will not only have to spend as many as 3 perks, but also that before that we will have to invest 4 perks in Forces. True, we will have two Hinterland agents by this time - Lord Berand and Clemence. But still, the first two will have to take Massache's Method in any case (+ 5% experience for killing an enemy in battle, it is very useful and just as the very first perk) and Underworld Knowledge (+ 50% experience for reading books and additional options for conversations with the "underground"). That is, no freedom of maneuver, whether you want or not, and the first 5 perks are rigidly distributed.

The second, but no less, significant drawback is that this weapon and armor will faithfully serve us a maximum of level up to 18. And then we will have to change them to more advanced ones. On the other hand, the interval from the 10th to the 18th level will take at least a couple of days. But as many as 3 perks that could be used for much less peaceful purposes .. In general, a brief description of the 1st method is done as a class.

Hissing Wastes - Tomb of Fairel

Let's continue, so to speak, from afar. There is such a location Hissing Wastes, on the strategic map looks like Stop Venatori Activity in the West, it costs 20 Power to open. There we are guaranteed to find the best schemes for military and thieves' weapons - blue tier 3. And, in addition to this, if we get there at level 16+, we will not only be able to find these schemes, but also farm a lot of resources of the 3rd tier - on rifts and just monsters.

In addition, the merchant in the canyon sells the best simple (non-rarity) schematics of armor, bracers and leggings for all classes (by the way, according to rumors, if you take the Short List perk, then blue versions of these armor will appear on sale, but I only got one). It will be worth all the money you make by level 16, or even more. But believe me, they are really worth it. However, it was a saying, I am actually starting to bay.

We are smoothly moving on to the second method, which is not entirely honest, however, it does not violate any in-game laws. You can come to Hissing Wastes immediately upon its opening. And 20 Power can well be accumulated by the 8th level, even without completely passing the extremely sandy Hinterlands. The question is, what to do in the highlighted location for the characters who haven't shaken off the Hinterland sand from their feet yet? Here's what:

Get better weapon schematics
- Get several unique rings (for example + 10% Attack), if desired - an unlimited number of them
- Dig up as much as you have patience, Nevarrite and Volcanic Aurum (Tier 3 metals)
- And also to pick up all sorts of herbs, which, however, we will not really need yet

Here are the characteristics of the weapon schemes (they are actually the best in the game):

Serpent "s Rage- one-handed ax. Damage 204/276, slots: Damage: 17 Metal, Offense: 6 Metal, Utility: 4 Metal, Offense: 4 Metal. Found in the tomb northeast of Statue Camp. In total, 31 metals are needed for crafting, in additional slots - Everite (+ to attack) or Nevarite (a chance to stun on impact) is desirable.

Serrated greatsword- two-handed helmet sword. Damage 215/289, slots: Damage: 22 Metal, Utility 8 Metal, Utility 6 Metal, Offense: 6 Metal. Found in a tomb in the canyon. In total, you need 42 metals to craft.

Dual curved blade- a dagger, hits the square. Damage 251/341, slots: Damage 11 Metal, Utility 5 Leather, Utility 3 Leather, Utility 3 Leather. Found in the tomb in the southwest of the map (Burial Grounds). To craft a pair of daggers, only 22 metals are enough, and absolutely any.

Spiked longbow- onion. Damage 128/172, slots: Damage: 22 Metal, Utility: 8 Leather, Offense: 6 Leather, Offense: 6 Cloth. Found in the tomb next to Sand Crags Camp. Also, 22 metals for crafting.

Unfortunately, there is no scheme for a magic staff, but if a mage in your glorious team is engaged in support and control, then this is absolutely irrelevant at this stage. Well, it makes no sense to give the characteristics of the Legion of the Dead armor, alas. Firstly, it is useful only in one case - if there is a dwarf warrior in the party. Given that the only gnome is the mafioso Varric (who is by no means a warrior), it remains to assume that this armor is intended exclusively for your PGO gnome. By the way, secondly, no bracers or leggings can be added to this armor.

In addition to the schemes, we will find the following jewelry:
- Superb Ring of Attack (+ 10%)
- Superb Ring of Critical Damage (+ 20%)
- Superb Ring of Guard Penetration (+ 20%)
- Superb Ring of Bleeding (+ 10%)
- Superb Belt of Melee Defense (+ 10%)

What does it take to get all this wealth at (ridiculous to say) 8-10 levels? And just something simply a thief with the Stealth skill (preferably upgraded), and a fast horse (and not the original nag). We will go around all opponents, taking advantage of the speed advantage. And where it is impossible to bypass, our valiant thief will sneak in there. So, let's go to the next post, otherwise this one has already grown.

Developers from BioWare have done a great job on the crafting system (creating things) in the role-playing game. Thanks to it, players can make their own weapons, armor and shields. As a result, the best gear in this RPG can not only be obtained from bosses or from hidden chests, but can also be crafted on your own. However, you should not rejoice ahead of time, believing that you will be able to make the best sword or staff in the game at the very beginning of the passage. The fact is that first of all you have to find a good sketch, and then collect rare materials, and only then you will have the opportunity to create an item in the workshop.

Therefore, it is not yet entirely clear which is more difficult - getting purple items (unique) or sketches for powerful items. Thus, you should not write off weapons and armor falling from monsters (mainly from high dragons) and located in well-hidden treasuries.

In this guide, we will not only tell you about the best weapons of each type (one-handed, two-handed, bows, staves and daggers) and shields, but also present lists of unique weapons. Unfortunately, it is impossible to call them complete yet, since in the "Inquisition" there are many hiding places that no one has yet been able to find. Perhaps it is you who will become the owner of some hitherto unseen weapon. In this case, be sure to share this knowledge with us in the comments to the guide, so that other players will also know about your find.

When crafting weapons and shields, we did not take into account the 10% bonus received from special materials (dragon tooth, for example). We explain - in addition to the usual crafting slots in the game, there are special cells in which you can add a thing touched by a shadow (it adds a unique ability to an item), or a material that, with a probability of ten to one hundred percent, increases all the characteristics of a thing. Be sure to use them when crafting your gear to maximize its usefulness.

By the way, saving / loading won't help in this case. Therefore, if you want to get an improved item, then you need to do the following: save, create an unnecessary item and use the dragon's tooth (in the first case, you are unlikely to get a reinforcement), and then craft the thing we already need (in the second case, the enhancement usually works). If the second time it was not possible to improve the thing, then we load the previous save and make two unnecessary items, and the third time - the thing we need.

One-handed

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, one-handed weapons are usually carried by tanks (warriors equipped with shields). For this reason, for this weapon, the main parameters are considered constitution and strength, thanks to which a melee fighter is able to withstand a considerable number of attacks and at the same time inflict as much damage on the enemy as possible. If we consider sketches, then the best for crafting are: Engraved Ax with a Goatee and Fury of the Serpent. The first drops randomly from chests located in locations intended for players above level sixteen, and the second can be found in the Whistling Wastes in the tomb located northeast of the Camp by the statue.

For the tank, the ax Fury of the Serpent is preferable, because it has one support slot that increases the constitution. Therefore, we will consider it exactly - to craft the best version, we will need the following resources: dragon bone and everite. Metal is needed for attack slots, and bones are used for damage and support. Thus, we get an excellent one-handed weapon with an excellent damage per second: 279 DPS.

Note: we remind you that amplifiers, runes and additional items were not taken into account. Together with them, the UVS easily exceeds three hundred units.

When examining rare weapons, you can see that only the Song of Marsh ax, issued for completing special missions on the war table, which are most directly related to the Hero of Ferelden, the main character of Dragon Age: Origins, can compete with the homemade one. If in the first part he died, then there will be no additional quests with him in Inquisition.

Unique one-handed weapon:

Two-handed

They equip damage dealers with two-handed weapons (inflicting maximum damage on the enemy). Most often, there are unique two-handed ones, that is, it is incredibly difficult to find a sketch of a powerful ax or a two-handed sword. Of the sketches, the most powerful is the War Hammer recipe, which randomly drops out of chests located in high-level locations. You may never get it for the entire passage of the game, so we recommend that you pay attention to the purple weapon, which is much easier to get.

Some powerful two-handed cuffs are sold by merchants, such as End of the Siege, but the cost is sometimes staggering. If you have not yet been able to scrape together a sufficient amount of gold coins, then we recommend that you start crafting ordinary two-handed swords, hammers and axes. In this case, you need to increase the characteristics of attack, strength and armor penetration. A nice sketch of an ax called the Hossberg Twainer can be purchased from a merchant in the Suledin Fortress (Empriz du Lyon).

As for the best unique weapons, the most powerful is the Sulevin Blade, which can be used by a warrior who has reached level twenty. To obtain it, you will have to go through a difficult quest. To start it, you need to get to the Empriz du Lyon location and find the merchant's corpse in the mountains. In his inventory we find a note that says about the legendary elven blade. After that, access to a new location opens on the military table, where the fragments of the sword we need are located.

Do not forget to supplement your two-handed weapon with a pommel and a shaft in order to increase its characteristics. The most important thing for a two-hander is to increase the chance and size of crit. Also install runes that increase the damage of a sword, hammer or ax.

Unique two-handed weapon:

Moving on from ordinary weapons to magical ones, which are used by wizards and sorcerers of all stripes. Among the unique staves, there are quite interesting specimens, but they are all already inferior to items that you can craft yourself. Purple staves usually drop from high dragons or story bosses, and some can be purchased from merchants for fabulous money. The following recipes are among the best sketches: the excellent staff of Mortalitasi and the excellent staff of the Archon. Their standard DPS is 115 units. The first will be more effective for the mage, but the likelihood of getting the second staff is much higher.

The fact is that the excellent staff of Archon is issued for completing a number of tasks about a spy on the military table of the command rate, which appear after the completion of the personal quest of the Iron Bull (you need to prevent the Qunari ship from blowing up). When making it, we use dragon bone and fabric of the third level, which increases magic.

As for unique weapons, the best staves are: Yavanalis and the staff of the Nether. Both can be bought from merchants (in the Suledin Fortress and the capital of Orlais). Staff of the Nether can also be obtained by killing High Dragon Heyvernal. Naturally, these staves are inferior to DIY items, but they are also quite good.

If for some reason you could not get the above sketches, then the staff of the First Sorcerer can be a good alternative to them, the standard DPS of which is also 115 units, but the crafting materials at the same time increase the not quite necessary characteristics of the magician. You can buy this recipe from a merchant in Suledin Fortress.

Unique staves:

Archers in the "Inquisition" in the late stages of the game become the main damage dealt. Thanks to their special abilities, they can inflict incredible damage on the enemy. Plus, the characters of this class are far from enemies during the battle, and therefore they are not at risk of being killed, which cannot be said about the assassins, who have to be in the thick of the battle.

If we look at the sketches, then one of the most powerful bows is the excellent spiked longbow, the DPS of which is 172 units. There is also a swan longbow with the same damage per second, but slightly different slots for materials. Finding it is much more difficult, so let's consider the "spike". You can find a sketch for him in the Dwarven Tomb, located in the Whistling Wastes. To create the best version of this bow, we need the following materials: dragon scales, webbing and bones, as well as snooper skin or wezdelaz scales (used for the support slot).

As a result, we will have an excellent long-range weapon with a high percentage of armor penetration. This will allow the archer to easily deal with well-protected mobs, as well as high dragons, which often create additional armor for themselves. If we talk about secondary devices, then in this case we use a handle of fine work. It increases the chance of crit and penetration of the weapon. Any rune can be placed, but we recommend using a desecrating stone, since we will mainly have to fight living creatures.

Among the unique weapons, the most powerful is the longbow with a griffin, which can be worn by archers who have reached the eighteenth level. In a second, he is able to inflict 170 units of damage to any enemy. Nice weapon, but homemade is still better.

Unique bows:

Rogues can also wear daggers in addition to bows. The greatest damage is done by those that are created on their own. These, for example, include an excellent blade with two curves, which can be found in one of the dwarven tombs located in the Whistling Wastes. Its DPS reaches 341 units. To craft the best option, we need dragon scales and bones.

We have at our disposal wonderful daggers with considerable bonuses to crit, cunning and dexterity. Don't forget to create a tight grip for the twin blades as well. To create it, you will need everite and other rare materials that increase the probability of critical damage and its size. As for the runes, we recommend installing the one that adds elemental damage. In this case, you will be able to inflict additional damage on almost all enemies, not just individual groups (dragons, undead, people, and so on).

Naturally, you will not get access to such a dagger and materials immediately. Therefore, we recommend that you first use the skins of bears for crafting, which you should have plenty of. Then you should use the skin of a snooper (this is a small and peaceful animal that lives in Empriz du Lyon).

If we talk about unique daggers, then there are plenty of them in the game and at first they will significantly surpass the sketch options. Pay special attention to Agony and Walking Death. They deal more than three hundred damage per second and have good bonuses to the characteristics a rogue needs. Agony is in the temple of Solasan in the room with the demon of Pride (you need to open all the doors), and we get the Walking Death after killing the high dragon Mountain Slayer (resides in Empriz du Lyon).

If you decide to acquire the best shield in the game, then again you will need to look for the corresponding sketches. Unfortunately, the unique shields are not that strong in this case. One of the best is considered to be a polished shield. It drops randomly from the third level chests, which are located mainly in locations such as Empriz du Lyon and the Whistling Wastes. When creating shields, increase those characteristics that increase the character's defense against melee and ranged attacks. If you do not have the appropriate materials, you can increase your HP (health points). To craft the best Polished Shield, you will need the following materials: Wezdelaz Scale, Everite, and Dragonbone. As a result, we get an item, the armor of which is 48 units.

Shields of a unique nature are somewhat worse than those that we can create on our own. For example, the Emperor's shield has an armor value of only 33 units. But he has an excellent bonus - it restores fifteen percent of the health from all damage received every ten seconds. You can find it in Val Royeaux at the merchant in the store. Magols for sale in Skyhold. In terms of its characteristics, it is inferior to the shield described above, but in the middle of the passage it can be very useful.

This concludes our guide to the best weapons and shields in Dragon Age: Inquisition. As you can see, the game features a huge amount of a wide variety of weapons, which can be difficult to get. Therefore, we wish you good luck in this difficult and difficult endeavor!
