Of note is the colorful open world where Bioware threatens to create many mysterious and dangerous exploration sites.

I will explain for the uninitiated, E3 is annual and, without exaggeration, the most important event in the gaming industry. Within a few days, eminent game studios are announcing their future projects. Someone shows only a teaser, others are generous to broadcast the gameplay.

These are not an hour and a half Apple presentations, the exhibition actually stretches over several days, invariably gathering crowds of fans around it. The studios show their creations at different times, according to the schedule. Keeping track of announcements in such a schedule is not the most convenient task, therefore we have collected all the main releases of E3 2018 in one place.

Here they are, the games that will not let you go for the next year and a half.

Cyberpunk 2077

Developer: CD Projekt RED

Platforms: PC, Xbox One, PS4

Why play: Polish developers have already presented us with the genius "The Witcher 3" and the solid first two parts. After the overwhelming success of the fantasy series, the guys from CD Projekt RED decided not to milk the golden cow, but to switch to new projects.

So their next project is a cyberpunk fantasy of the same name. It has been talked about for a long time, but at the current E3 we finally saw the first trailer.

I really liked it, somewhat reminiscent of Deus Ex and the Citadel from Mass Effect. Little is known about the game yet, but at a private screening, journalists have already shown 40 minutes of gameplay. The reviews are rave, many have noted the similarities with the same Deus Ex, Crysis and Witcher 3.

It is a pity that the game will definitely not be released this year. Looking forward to release in 2019.

Fallout 76

They promise not to overpopulate the map with players, many dedicated servers are waiting for us. In addition to the obvious advantages, playing in a team will give one more feature - the ability to drop a nuclear bomb on an enemy settlement.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey

Why play: For me, Ubisoft releases Assassin's Creed games more often than I can play them.

But this part promises to be interesting and different from others: the plot was transferred to Ancient Greece in the fifth century BC. There was not even an Order of Assassins, you need to play as a Spartan outcast, a man or a woman. There is a chance to see the game version of the king This-Is-Sparta Leonidas, we are clearly hinted at their relationship with the main character.

They promise to generously fill up RPG elements, there is a variety of solutions, and an abundance of items of equipment, and even romances with NPCs. There will be naval battles, the hero will be given a trireme, which can be pumped and adjusted.

DOOM Eternal

It's good that not just another story about how Peter Parker got his powers, according to the plot, the superhero tried on his costume already seven years ago. Accordingly, all abilities and tricks will be available from the very beginning.

Several times I tried to play different versions of the Spider games, I did not like any of them. This one, on the contrary, looks fast and dynamic. We'll check it in October.

At E3 2018, about one hundred and fifty games were shown. We cannot write about everything, and you will not read it either. Below is a list of announcements that are also worth paying attention to.

Before the start of E3 - the main gaming event of the year - large studios hold their own show, where new games are shown. Oddly enough, this year almost no one had any hopes for something unexpected, and almost all the announcements were leaked to the network. But even here some studios still have trump cards in store. About the most important and interesting things from E3 - in the material.

Indie and a bit of EA's Battlefield

It all started with frankly the most boring EA conference in recent years. It would seem that the bar has been lowered to the limit, but even now those one and a half hours that the company showed its new products were unbearable. The presentation to fans of the once cult RTS Command & Conquer series was especially "fond of", but more on that later.

Battlefield v

For the striking trailer for Battlefield V, many players did not see the real innovations of the game, so EA decided to somehow fix it. First, they showed a darker video about the game in order to somehow make up for the past mistake. Then the developers proudly announced the appearance of the Battle Royale mode (which, in fact, does not bode well) and the complete absence of loot boxes. This last statement is especially funny because it only implies that they are called differently in Battlefield - Airlift. In fact, these are all the same boxes in which you can find decorations for the character and weapons.

Separately, videos with a detailed story about the game appeared on the bloggers' YouTube channels. All this, in fact, was known even at the announcement, but everyone was so "struck" by the first trailer that no one noticed anything behind the indignation. And there are a lot of innovations in the game. First of all, the same model of the destruction of the environment from Bad Company returned. That is, all buildings on the map can now definitely be demolished to the ground.

We also completely reworked the mechanics of the squads. For example, all squad members can resurrect their allies, regardless of class. In addition, the work with resources has been greatly improved: there are fewer cartridges and even tanks run out of them, and the boxes do not heal everyone around them and you need to personally give packages with medicines. The rest is less significant: you can shoot while lying on your back, jump out of windows, build fortifications, and so on. The historical hate aside, Battlefield V looks like the best game in the series in years. Coming October 16 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Indie and more

And then something began that no one expected. And I didn't really want to. It's about the announcement of indie games Unravel 2 and Sea of ​​solitude... The first one became available immediately after the announcement. In general, Unravel 2 is the same platformer, only with the addition of local co-op. Moreover, both heroes can be controlled either together with a friend or alone. Sea of ​​Solitude, in turn, is a game about a girl in the world of huge monsters. On this, perhaps, it is worth finishing the story about these games.

At the same time, a new Star Wars game was announced - Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. But the curious thing here is how exactly it took place. At some point, the presenter approached Vince Zampella (co-founder of the Respawn studio, which created Titanfall), who was sitting in the hall, and he spoke a little about the game. However, this is still better than the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. The game will take place between episodes III and IV of the saga, the main character will be a Jedi, will be released at the end of 2019. That's the whole announcement.

The cherry on top is the new Command & Conquer: Rivals for smartphones. It is at this point that it physically hurts from the presentation, because the new C&C is a clone of Clash of Clans. A certain esportsman and a couple of commentators were invited to the stage, who played a full game in "C&C for a New Generation", which further slowed down the pace of the presentation. All in all, EA has once again managed to confirm its status as the most hated company in the world.

At the very end, we talked in detail about the upcoming game Bioware - Anthem. Recall that this is a game-service like Destiny, which is planned to be supplied with add-ons for more than one year. So far, everything looks intriguing, but you shouldn't jump to conclusions with games of this genre. Developers can assure gamers indefinitely that they will support the project and constantly add content. But in the end, Destiny 2 may come out, from which almost all players left after two months, and they are still trying to bring them back with new DLC to no avail.

The game takes place on an unknown planet where people somehow appeared. On this planet, there were once gods called Shapers, who left behind the technology of influencing the power of Anthem of Creation to create entire planets. Players will take on the role of Freelancers, who must protect people and technology from the enemy faction and other creatures. According to the developers, the creation of the game began in 2012 before the existence of Destiny and The Division, therefore, the games cannot be compared.

Also in Anthem there is no PvP at all, but it is possible that it may appear in the future. In any case, it's still hard to judge it somehow, because it looks like a typical service game, and even with damage figures per half-screen. Anthem is out on February 22, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Microsoft and Friends

Microsoft immediately indicated that there will be 50 games at their event, 15 of which will be shown for the first time. It was one of the most interesting presentations at E3 2018 and the best conference of the company in recent years. It found a place for both releases from Microsoft's own studios and from third-party developers. The latter did all the shows.

Halo, Forza and Gears

There were not so many Microsoft own exclusives at the presentation. First, they showed a short video of a new Halo infinite... Its main character will again be the Master Chief, and the plot will continue the main story of the series, but nothing more is known about the game. It is assumed that an open world will appear in the game, but the developers have not confirmed this information. It is also unknown when the game will be released.

It looks like a more dynamic Dark Souls set in feudal Japan, very similar to Nioh. Of the remarkable, the protagonist has a grappling hook in his prosthetic arm, with which you can cling to buildings and enemies, which adds drive to fights. Coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2019.

Unexpected was the announcement of Dying Light 2, which is engaged in Chris Avelone (Fallout 2, Star Wars: KOTOR, Prey). The main innovation of the game was the variability of the passage. In fact, as the game was announced in 2012, nothing has been heard about it. Despite the fact that there was no release date or gameplay, the video attracted huge attention and even the "father of cyberpunk" shared his opinion about the game.

All the announcements of the company were quite expected, and even TES VI and Starfield did not look like something incredible. Sequels

It should be said right away that Fallout 76 is a multiplayer "survivor" with the construction of settlements. As predicted, the action takes place 25 years after the events of the War of 2077. The residents of Vault 76 in West Virginia were among the first to surface after the apocalypse, and they need to rebuild civilization.

According to Todd Howard, the map in Fallout 76 is four times larger than in Fallout 4. It is divided into six regions with unique features and weather conditions. Moreover, there will be dozens of other players on the map, and you need to go through it in the company of friends. There is an opportunity to play alone, but in the studio it is not advised to do this, because the game was originally created for online. Fallout 76 arrives on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 14.

Bethesda also showed a small teaser for the sequel Doom, which takes place on Earth, not on Mars. It is only known that the composer Doom eternal will become Mick Gordon, who wrote the music for the first Doom, Wolfenstein and many other games. About Rage 2 nothing new was told. They just released a new batch of gameplay, from which it is clear that this is some kind of mixture of Far Cry, Doom and Mad Max in an insanely colorful post-apocalypse. However, the game looks very cheerful and cannot be compared with the first Rage. Released in Spring 2019.

As mentioned above, Bethesda announced The Elders Scrolls VI (which doesn't even have a subtitle yet) and Starfield... It has been rumored for years that the studio is working on these games, and now they have finally been confirmed. Both projects are at an early stage of development and are predicted to come out after 2020.

Addons, spin-offs and add-ons

A special place at the presentation was occupied by all kinds of add-ons and spin-offs. So, according to Wolfenstein in 2019 will be released Youngblood... This is a cooperative shooter in which you will be allowed to play as the twin daughters of BJ Blaskowitz. The story will unfold in the 80s in Nazi-occupied Paris. It should be understood that this is exactly a spin-off, like Old Blood, which was released in 2015. This also includes the VR version of Wolfenstein with the subtitle Cyberpilot... It will already be given to play as a hacker who breaks into Nazi cars. Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot will also be available in 2019, but only on PC and PS4.

No one has forgotten about Prey either, and a lot has been prepared for her. Firstly, right on the day of the announcement, a new mode "New Game +" appeared, in which you can replay the game with all the equipment and pumping, but with reinforced enemies. We also added "Survival" and a mode for those who want to appreciate only the story.

The full-fledged Mooncrash DLC looks much more interesting. It adds a new mode in which the player has to leave the base of the TranStar corporation on the moon. This is a kind of "roguelike" with procedurally generated levels. That is, after each death of the player, the map and the location of the enemies completely change. The add-on is already available for purchase. Also, a new multiplayer mode Typhon Hunter is promised in the summer, in which one player needs to find and kill five mimics hidden in the level.

After the success of Fallout Shelter, the company decided to release another mobile game, but this time in the TES universe. The Elder Scrolls: Blades will be completely free and, according to Todd Howard, is no different from the classic TES with dungeons and a huge open map. Registration for the test of the game is already available, and in the future it will be released on PC, consoles and will support VR.

Restrained Ubisoft

The Ubisoft conference isn't exactly good or bad. It does not evoke any emotions: we just played trailers, just talked about new games - and no unexpected announcements. But at the same time, there were no empty promises and disappointments, and all the games shown are already at the final stage of development (except for Beyond Good and Evil 2, perhaps).

The new Assassin's Creed Odyssey looks exactly like last year's game, except that the setting has been changed to Ancient Greek. It will be a prequel to Origins, which begins in 431 BC, and the main characters are from Sparta. There are two protagonists - Kassandra and Alexios - but the gameplay does not change in any way from the hero change.

An extensive dialogue system will be one of the main innovations. Of course, no one will change the outcome of historical events, but the characters' answers will somehow influence their story. Several endings were added to this. However, it remains unclear what the assassins have to do with it, because so far it looks like a regular Action / RPG about ancient Greece. Well, according to the precepts of Bioware, it will be possible to have an affair, both with a woman and with a man. The new Assassin's Creed launches on October 5, 2018, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The division 2 also not very different from the last game, only snowy New York was replaced by Washington. But Ubisoft is known to only deliver good games on the second try, so the sequel is really fun to see. Moreover, the developers themselves are trying to convince everyone that they have corrected the errors of the original. Creative director David Polfeld even admitted that the first part came out unfinished, and this will not happen with the sequel.

The analogy can only be drawn in the post-apocalyptic landscapes, which in many ways look much more interesting than the wastelands of Fallout 76. Exodus will be an exclusively single-player game without any online blotches. Users will be invited to explore the vast locations of the game world, which are fraught with many secrets. Ghost of tsushima

It's an epic action-adventure from Sony that, like Sekiro, takes you to ancient Japan. Events unfold in the XIII century, at the beginning of the Mongol invasion.
