Quests for obtaining specializations. Dragons Quest path of the templar dragon age inquisition walkthrough

In different universes, dragons are described in different ways: somewhere they represent ancient and noble creatures helping heroes in the fight against universal evil, in other realities they are greedy and cruel creatures who from time to time kidnap princesses and sleep on mountains of gold and gems. And sometimes they are even presented as overgrown reptiles, deprived of intelligence. In the Dragon Age series, dragons, although they are close to the image of the third version, play an important role in it, and in almost every part we had to kill one or two higher dragons. But in Inquisition, developers from BioWare added ten high dragons at once, which are quite difficult to find and even more difficult to kill. But first things first.

Guide to killing high dragons in Dragon Age: Inquisition

Guide to killing high dragons in Dragon Age: Inquisition

First of all, I will note that there are several age forms of dragons in the Dragon Age universe: cubs (dragonlings), drakes, dragons, mature dragons, high dragons and great dragons. Only females can become superior. They are considered the rarest and most legendary of the living dragons. Very little is known about the greats - it is only clear that they lived during the time of Calenhad the Great.

Naturally, it makes no sense to describe battles with dragons below the highest, since it is not very difficult to defeat them. The higher dragons are another matter. These huge creatures are capable of causing you a lot of trouble. However, with proper preparation and knowledge of the enemy's weaknesses, you may well be able to win these battles.

So, as I said earlier, there are ten high dragons in Dragon Age: Inquisition, each of which lives in its own region and has a number of features - for example, resistance to cold, weakness to fire, and so on. Attacking higher dragons is best with already pumped characters, however, if you like hardcore, you can try your luck with low-level heroes (provided that you have already opened the habitat of one or another higher dragon).

Ferelden Frostbite

Our first trophy dragon may be the Ferelden Frostbite, which dwells in the hinterlands, in the valley of Lady Shyna. She has resistance to fire, but weak to cold attacks. Little dragons are constantly running next to her - you can kill them or leave them unattended. I recommend taking Iron Bull to the battle.

Since this supreme dragon has a weakness for cold, you should equip your party with weapons on which cold runes are applied. In close-range combat, watch the dragon's legs - the beginning of such attacks is easy to notice, and therefore it should not be difficult for you to dodge them. It is better to worry about the tail hitting, taking away a considerable amount of hp from your characters at a time. Beware of the fiery breath of the high dragon. The Ferelden Frostbite will carry out this attack quite often. However, her main attacking ability is to spray flames over a vast area. Hiding from this attack will not be easy.

Note: Spoilers show where dragons are on the map.

Vinsomer

You can find this "baby" on the Storm Coast by visiting Dragon Island. In order to get to the desired area, you will need a boat located in the fortress of the Red Templars. You can get access to it on the military table of the command headquarters. The female is resistant to lightning, but spiritual attacks do a lot of damage to her. If you want to win quickly and without losses in a group, then you cannot do without armor with resistance to electricity (lightning). The weapon must have runes for Spirit damage. A full scale of concentration and a considerable number of healing elixirs are required for a successful battle.

When the battle begins, you should not concentrate all your attention only on "Vinsomer", since its dragons can also pretty much ruin your life. The dragon's physical attack damage is the same as the high dragon above. Winsormer is a very active opponent, who loves to attack the less protected robbers and mages. Her strong roar can deafen the entire party. After a certain period of time, the neck of this dragon will begin to be covered with an electric field - at this moment I recommend staying away from Vinosmer as far as possible.

Abyssal High Dragon

Abyssal High Dragon can be found in the Western Reach. In Siberia, he would not have lasted even a couple of days, so arm yourself with weapons with runes of cold and boldly go into battle. In no case do not use fire magic, as there will be little use from it, and you can spend a lot of time on casting.

During the battle, try to make the tank distract all the attention of the highest dragon on itself. It is advisable that he be dressed in armor with resistance to fire. The rest of the party must strike at the limbs of the dragon. It is best to place heroes attacking from a long distance as far away from the target as possible, as Deep High Dragon often launches fireballs at her opponents, which inflict massive damage. She makes other attacks with her legs and tail.

During the battle, the high dragon beats its wings several times, creating air vortices and a kind of barrier that does not allow ranged attacks. At this moment, you can get closer to the "Deep High Dragon" and try to inflict maximum damage on him in a short period of time. But before attacking, make sure that the concentration bar is full.

Hyvernal

Hivernal is translated from French as "winter", so we will call this higher dragon affectionately "Zimushka". To get to her audience, you will need to repair the bridge in Empriz du Lyon. Like the Mistral, she is a level nineteen frost dragon, and therefore has icy attacks. Be sure to wear armor with cold resistance. Archers and magicians should be moved away from the boss as far as possible in advance.

Note: in this area, a quest is issued to kill all dragons in the area after capturing the fortress, it is possible that the highest dragon appears only after receiving it. I don’t know for sure, since I went hunting after taking the assignment.

Hevernal often exhales ice right in front of him, so the tanks should be chosen stronger, otherwise your whole party will fall, not having time to count the number of thorns on the dragon's tail. Use fire magic actively, and runes with fire should be applied to the weapon. During the battle, this high dragon will rise into the air no more than four times.

Gamordian Buregon

The search for the Gamordan Buregon should begin in the High Plains in Raven Marsh. Like the Northern Hunter, this high dragon has a resistance to electricity and a weakness to spiritual attacks. Melee attacks are typical (limb and tail strikes). Can randomly select any target from the party and pursue it until the end of the battle.

Sometimes it shocks the water with an electric current, which causes considerable damage and stuns the character if he is at that moment in the pond. Melee warriors must necessarily be tanks, since their attacks will be useless in most cases. Characters should wear armor that resists electricity.

Stock up on healing elixirs, and keep a mage trained in supporting spells in the party. Try to keep your group on dry ground. You can try stunning the female dragon with the Breach Mark. Be sure to use skills and abilities that deal damage over a period of time.

Great mistral

Finding this cutie is quite difficult, but it's worth it, and not only because of the loot - this "dragon" looks too beautiful. So, she lives in the northern part of the Emerald Tombs and to get there, you need to move from the Direstone to the north almost to the very edge of the area.

Great Mistral is a level seventeenth dragon that uses ice attacks. If you already have the rift skill, then be sure to use it in battle, as it can inflict considerable damage on the high dragon. I advise you to concentrate the attack on one limb.

To reduce the damage received from the attacks of the "Big Mistral", you need to equip your companions and the main character in armor that has resistance to cold. Like other high dragons, she sometimes creates swirls with her wings. She also has an ability called Ice Armor, which adds an extra life bar. In flight, the dragon can launch an ice ball at one of your party members. In this case, I recommend that you take control of this character into your own hands, since Al sometimes slows down and does not try to dodge an attack. The battle with the "Big Mistral" can last a lot of time, and therefore stock up on healing potions.

Northern Hunter

Our next high dragon dwells in Crestwood. In terms of its parameters, this dragon is in many ways similar to "Vinosmer", that is, she also has resistance to lightning and a weakness for the spirit. The armor of your heroes must be protected from electricity.

Watch out for your "damage dealers" (characters that inflict maximum damage), since the Northern Hunter often rushes at them in the first place. Try to avoid her kicks and tail kicks, and also try to rebuild when you see that the dragon is about to attack you with electric breath. I advise you to take into the party two magicians who are capable of supporting their comrades and inflicting damage with the Spirit.

Note that this higher dragon is thicker-skinned than Vinsomer, that is, if the latter could be killed with conventional weapons, then with the "Northern Hunter" this will not be enough.

Sand mourner

To find the Sand Mourner you should start at the Sand Leggings and head east. After a few minutes of leisurely walking, you will reach the wyverns and a small passage between the mountains. Go through it and very soon you will see a sleeping level 20 high dragon. Bring the tank to her and start inflicting damage. Then connect archers and magicians.

Sandweeper is a fire dragon, so you should have armor with fire resistance and weapons with ice runes. This dragon is able to beat with wings and summon additional armor for herself. Sometimes she shows that she is going to take off, but immediately rushes down on one of your heroes. This high dragon is very mobile, so watch your party members carefully.

Kaltenzan

This high dragon can be found on the second tower after crossing the bridge. She is also a frost dragon, although Kaltenzan is two levels higher than Hevernal. Immediately bring your tanks to the front line so that it does not touch your mages and archers.

Kaltenzan's attacks are similar to those of Hevernal, though her icy breath lasts a little longer. In addition, she often jumps and behaves very actively, so get ready for the battle to be very prolonged. In battle, you will need not only healing elixirs, but also regeneration potions and healing bombs.

It is not necessary to climb "Kaltenzan" under the belly. As soon as her health bar falls below fifty percent, she will emit a powerful roar, stunning the entire party and summoning dragons for help. It is better to immediately destroy the kids, otherwise they will get to your magicians and then write wasted.

Highlands Slayer

Again the dragon has a French name. This time it means "to devastate", so we will call it "Wasteland". Okay, just kidding. Mount Slayer sounds much better. If you do not want to fight this level 23 dragon with beaten characters, then I recommend going around the tower from the other side.

Mountain Slayer is a fiery high dragon that needs to be charged to maximum concentration to defeat. This infernal creature loves to jump and deliver his attacks right in the jump. Its distinctive feature is the ability to call a circle of fire right under the feet of the heroes. You will have no more than three seconds to take the character out of the blow.

Like Kaltenzan, this high dragon is capable of roaring loudly, calling for help. The dragon can also create additional armor for herself.

That's all. Good luck on the battlefields in Dragon Age: Inquisition!

The victorious march of the Inquisition across the lands of Denerim and Orlais in Dragon Age: Inquisition will begin with a small squad. The strength of the order will gradually grow, over time it will enlist the support of the nobility, apostates (magicians or templars), the Gray Guardians and other allies, but before this happens, many problems will have to be solved that will fall on the head of the protagonist along with the demons from a hole in the sky ... Responsibilities in the Inquisition are strictly divided between advisers: Josephine responsible for diplomacy, Lelliana- intelligence, Cullen- troops. The order is managed from the command headquarters, where all important requests are received and key events are marked on the map. Each of the advisors has a different approach to solving the assigned tasks. The outcome of the assigned case and the time spent depend on the choice: you can act by word, cunning or brute force (there are absolutely no losing decisions).

Agents who can be recruited in all corners of Thedas help speed up the process of completing tasks, they are also able to unlock new specializations without spending points. Recruiting agents in Dragon Age: Inquisition, it usually begins with communication with a potential candidate, but not everyone agrees to join the Inquisition right away, everyone has their own reasons: someone is busy, someone does not trust, someone is waiting, someone is simply afraid of the consequences of his choice. They come to the rescue in such cases satellites who are able to convince the intractable (additional remarks appear in the dialogue). If the attempts of the companions are unsuccessful, the only way to recruit an agent remains completing a small loyalty assignment... It is important not to miss the right moment for recruiting, otherwise the agent may disappear with the development of the plot. Recruited agents are added to the advisors tab in the specialization selection window.

Location of agents for the Inquisition in Dragon Age: Inquisition:

  1. Pacified Clemens(task "In secret") - is waiting for a meeting with the Inquisitor in the Redcliffe tavern in the Hinterlands. For recruiting, it is enough to talk to him. Access to the village opens according to the plot, when you need to make a choice between magicians and templars. Helps in the work of Cullen.
  2. Weil's Volunteers- for recruitment, at the request of Corporal Weil, from the Crossroads in the Hinterlands, several tasks for refugees: mark 5 caches of apostates at the request of recruit Whitl, who is standing by a cave in the western part of the settlement, in the task "At the mercy of the elements"; get 10 pieces of lamb at the request of a refugee-hunter in the "Pangs of Hunger" quest (rams are found in the forest); persuade the healer from Redcliffe to move to the Crossroads in the quest "Healing Hand" (you need to be an elf or have Solas in the squad); deal with renegade mages and templars in the quests “Apostates in the Witch's Forest” and “Templars in the West”. Moving to Skyhold will automatically close access to missions. Returning to Corporal Veil, we ask him to "Hire the most skilled." Companions will react positively to the acceptance of volunteers into the ranks of the Inquisition.
  3. Alexius(task "Tempting Whisper") - for recruiting, you need to side with the magicians and save the life of the master, so that at the trial in Skyhold to decide his fate. Before the process, you need to learn on the command table "Secret Knowledge" (the "Secrets" tab), which will expand your knowledge of magic and add a new item to the dialogues. In the future, Alexius will issue tasks to strengthen the influence of the Inquisition and stop acting in favor of the Coryphaus. Helps Lelliana in her work.
  4. Blades of Hessarian(task "Putting things in order") - on the order table on the Storm Coast, you need to make an amulet "Crest of Mercy" from the skin of a deep hunter (found in caves opposite "Morrin's Heights") and two serpentines (hang on the rocks along the coast), then put it on through the inventory and come to the Hessarian camp in the eastern part of the location, where you will fight the leader. The blades help Cullen work.
  5. Laurenil(task "The Condescension of the Dalians") - lives in the Dalish camp in the Emerald Graves, in the southwestern part of the location. At the meeting, the elf will be asked to join the Inquisition, but without the permission of the keeper, he will not be able to leave the clan and carry out his plan. Quests issued by Loranil's tribesmen will help you gain the trust of the Dalish. After the introduction, he begins to help Cullen.
  6. Frederic de Cero(quest "Deep High Dragon") - The scientist is busy searching for information for his new work on dragons in the Western Reach, south of the southern camp of the Inquisition. After completing several of his assignments and killing the deep high dragon, he will agree to join the Inquisition, where he will help Lelliana.
  7. Smuggler Tanner(quest "Business Relations") - in the Hinterlands to the south of the Crossroads, where refugees took refuge, there is an oval wooden house on a hill, inside there is a note on the recess that activates the quest "Blood Brothers". We reach the marker from the assignment (northwest of the Inquisition camp near Zakatnoye in the eastern part of the location), we clean the camp from bandits, the bodies of two templars lie around the house, from the first we pick up a sword, from the second a letter that activates the "Business relationship" task. We are waiting for the moment when the plot opens access to the village of Redcliffe, we find Tanner in the camp in front of the entrance to the church. To recruit an agent, we use Cassandra, Varrica or the knowledge of the underworld, available for study for points of the Inquisition on the command table in the Shelter or the castle in Skyhold in the Troops section, after which Tanner will help Lelliana.
  8. Fairbanks(task "Nobility in heart and deeds") - we find the rebel camp in the southern part of the Emerald Graves, speak with Fairnbanks, carry out all his tasks to clean up the area from the robber templars and free citizens. The new agent speeds up Lelliana's work.
  9. Lord Berand(quest "Love will wait") - we find the body of a woman in the gorge southeast of the Inquisition camp in the Suburb, from where the exploration of the territory of the Inner Lands begins (we run past the astrarium and all the time adhere to the rocks on the left side). We select a letter from the body and deliver it to Lord Berand in the sectarian fortress, which is indicated by a marker on the map. While he is dumbfounded by the news of the death of his beloved, we invite him to join the Inquisition.
  10. Michel de Chevin(task "Call me Imshel") - at the exit from the destroyed village, which is under the protection of the Inquisition in Empriz-du-Lyon, we find the former knight of the Empress Celina, accused of treason and demoted. In the conversation, he will talk about his desire to defeat the demon Imshel, who settled in the Suledin fortress. We carry out all the dirty work for him, after which the Inquisition will be replenished with a new agent who will help Cullen.
  11. Ser Barris(task "Defenders of Justice") - you need to side with the templars, refusing to support the magicians. At the time of the search for veterans and lyrium, while defending the hall, we try to prevent the health level of the new ally from falling below 30%, otherwise he will die. After Skyhold is upgraded, Barris can be appointed as Knight Commander to assist Cullen.
  12. Jenna- on the way from the camp of the Inquisition to Crestwood, we help the Gray Guardians to deal with the revived corpses, we save the elf, who can later be found in one of the village houses. In the conversation, she will mention her desire to join the ranks of the Gray Wardens, if Solas or the Inquisitor is a nobleman in the squad, then Jana can be recruited into the Inquisition. If you send her to the Gray Wardens, then she will be sacrificed during the assault on Adamant.
  13. Looking up to the sky(quest "Cracks in the Bog") - in the swamps of the Brown Bog, on the way to the Avvar fortress, we find a giant in the skin of a bear, open and close the Rift before his eyes. After the victory over the Hand of Kort in the Avvar fortress and the release of the Inquisition soldiers from captivity (languishing in the side room in the fortress), He who looks into the sky will wish to join the Inquisition, where he will help Josephine. The release quest is lost after the headquarters move to Skyhold.
  14. Avvar leader(task "Judgment") - returning from the Brown Quagmire after defeating the Hand of Court and freeing the Inquisition soldiers from captivity, the trial of Avvar leader Movran Poddaty will take place in the Skyhold throne room, who will be recruited as an agent when sent to Tevinter.
  15. Preacher Anais(task "Glory to the messenger (-ce) Andraste") - in the Hinterlands we find the castle of the sectarians, located on a hill south of the Inquisition camp at the Dwarven Pass, in the southeastern part of the location. We ask you to let you in, close the gap in the Veil in the courtyard and talk with the preacher Anais, if you ask her to listen to what people are saying, then the help of the new agent will be directed to Lelliana, if you ask to spread the news about the Inquisition, then - Josephine.
  16. Enchantress Ellandra(quest "Amulet of the beloved") - on the right side of the entrance to the fortress of the cultists, led by the preacher Anais in the Hinterlands, on the hillside lies the corpse of a templar with a phylactery, which must be taken to Ellendra from the Crossroads, where the refugees have taken refuge. After the delivery of the amulet, Vivienne will help convince the sorceress to make a choice in favor of the Inquisition, you can also use the knowledge of magic, unlocked for points of the Inquisition on the command table in Skyhold in the "Secrets" section.
  17. Sly Ritts(quest "An Unusual Duet") - north of the Inquisition camp at Dwarven Pass, in the southeastern part of the Hinterlands, we find an agitated scout at the crossroads. We receive a task to search for the missing Ritts, we reach the marker at the fortress of the sectarians, led by the preacher Anais, help the scout fight off the templars, investigate the attack site with the [V] key, find the body of a dead magician, talk to her again. Varric will help convince her to join the Inquisition, or it can be done without anyone's help if the Inquisitor is a dwarf.
  18. Buster Dennett(task "Horses for the Inquisition") - we get to the camp of the Inquisition at the Redcliffe farms in the northwestern part of the Hinterlands, in the village we find Dennett, we perform several tasks for the farmers. Vivienne or Cassandra will help you to recruit a new agent to the Inquisition, you can also use the knowledge of the underworld in conversation, which can be unlocked for Inquisition points on the command table in Skyhold in the "Troops" section.
  19. Duchess Florianne(quest "Judgment") - after visiting the Halamshiral palace in the quest "Evil Eyes, Evil Hearts", the duchess will be taken alive or dead to Skyhold, where a trial will take place, following which she can be recruited as a new agent of the Inquisition, which will affect the speed of work Josephine.
  20. Nobleman, captain of Gaspar's mercenaries(quest "Evil Eyes, Evil Hearts") - while completing the quest in Halamshiral, we overhear several times the conversation of two nobles in the courtyard with a grate on the wall leading to the library on the second floor of the palace. It is important to stand on the balcony exactly over the targets, when they talk about templars and magicians, we go down to them and start a conversation, if you support one of the nobles, he will become an agent. The knowledge of the underworld, available in the "Troops" section on the command table in Skyhold for Inquisition points, will help to recruit the captain of the mercenaries Gaspar.
  21. Belle(task "The danger has not passed") - after clarifying the relationship between the templars and the ministers of the church on the main square of Val Royeaux, we find the merchant Belle, who wants to join the Inquisition. It is important not to leave the city, otherwise Belle will disappear, and Josephine will lose her assistant.
  22. Samson(task "Judgment") - to recruit the red templar, you need to support the magicians in Redcliffe in the task "Defenders of Justice", defeat Samson in the temple of Mital and bring him to trial in Skyhold, where, as a punishment, give him for study to Cullen, under whose command he and will fight on the side of the Inquisition against the Coryphaeus.

21.11.2014

Whoever says anything, but - almost completely linear role-playing game with corridor locations, so it will be very difficult to get lost here. Consequently, the questions related to “I don’t know where to go” disappear by themselves. The same can be said for dialogues. Conversations in the game are more for show and carry a real load on the plot only in rare cases. The developers were cheating, finally remaking this RPG in the direction of an action-adventure, but oh well.

There are also no problems with the choice of a character and cannot be. No matter how hard you try, you will be offered several classes of absolutely typical heroes, which differ only in appearance. Even if you want to initially develop the hero towards, say, two-handed swords, or a bow, in the early stages of the game you will still find both one-handed and two-handed and shooting and other weapons. So you can try to reshape your character directly in the game.

It's a completely different matter with the transfer of saves from previous parts. This possibility, as such, does not exist. Instead of the traditional transfer to BioWare, they danced a little with a tambourine and offered us Dragon Age Keeper: a service for transferring your completed storyline. At the end of the game, when the totals are drawn, all your past achievements and deeds will be credited to you.

The main character will have to close the green portals. The more you close them, the more influence points you can get. Influence points are a key resource, without which you will not be able to advance in the story. It is noteworthy that the mandatory closure of a couple of portals awaits us only at the early stage of the game. The further we move through history, the less developers will let us down and poke their noses into portals. You have to find everything yourself.

As for the character's karma, this indicator is not critical for passing. It will be possible to pass both a kind and completely evil hero. At the same time, your allies will not get angry and will not leave you, weakening the group. At least, the author of this material did not manage to anger his comrades-in-arms in this way. Instead, the characters around you will react to your actions and your words. The moral scale depends on whether your actions are approved or disapproved. Honestly, the indicator of this scale on the plot, if it does, has an absolutely insignificant effect, so be rude when you think it's necessary and don't adapt to anyone, you will get away with it.

The situation is approximately the same with the sentencing. We remind you that you are an Inquisitor, called upon to save the world. And, from time to time, while you are in the rank of the savior of the world, you will run, collect herbs on behalf of some village pharmacist, you will be brought in various defendants. Their fate depends on you. You can be cruel, or, on the contrary, be the height of humanism: your decisions will not have any consequences, so you can judge by conscience.

At the beginning of the material, we mentioned that the locations in the game are corridor. Not only are the corridor locations, but the world itself is closed. We are only given the illusion of freedom of movement, but this is just an illusion. You will not be allowed to run wherever it comes into your head, this is not The Elder Scrolls, nevertheless, there is space and you will have to move along them. Therefore, as soon as you have the opportunity to get a horse, be sure to do it. With a horse, things will move on much more vigorously.

Now, since we have touched the world and the environment, the following is what should be told. The developers have repeatedly said that the game will be completed in no less than 70-100 hours. Naturally, gamers appreciate those games that can be played longer, having tasted plenty of adventure. However, to prevent some cunning citizen from completing the game in a couple of hours, influence points were introduced into it, which were mentioned earlier. Without these same glasses, you will not be able to break through further in the story. And, it just so happened that the influence that you will earn in the process of passing the main storyline will not be enough for you. Therefore, you will have to run through the fields and hills, in order to harness the most thankless and dirty work. Simply put: perform primitive quests that are not at all suitable for your status as the head of the Inquisition, and grind, grind, grind.

For this lesson, you just have to run around all the nooks and crannies of Thedas. Locations in the game are divided into corridor-plot and spacious ones. Here in these very open spaces you will need to walk from mark to mark, take and complete tasks. This maneuver in BioWare killed another hare: you will have to wander into such remote places, in which you would not wander unnecessarily in life, if you need to search for adventures that promise points of influence. There will be many surprises. So, when traveling in Thedas, you don't always need to go along the road. Drive into nearby bushes and follow winding, untrodden paths.

You also have to periodically visit the headquarters of the Inquisition. This is a fairly useful place, primarily because of the ability to distribute instructions to your subordinates. You won't get much benefit from this, but it certainly won't get any worse. After a while, depending on the complexity of the task, the subordinates will complete the work. The secret is that to speed up this process, you can set the clock on your computer. We saved the game, exited, changed the time, entered, and all your instructions have already been followed. Saving time and effort.

Well, the most important thing in Dragon Age: Inquisition is combat. Humanitarian skills play a minimal role here, however, as in the two previous parts. The main thing is to learn how to fight, and in particular, to learn how to manage a combat team. One of the main skills is the ability to dispose of the advantages that a tactical pause gives you. A pause can be taken both before the fight and during the fight. And if at first such an opportunity may seem to you excessive, unnecessary, then later, when the enemy goes stronger, it will be very bad without a tactical pause. Using pause allows you to see the weaknesses of your enemies. Take a break and assign roles. Let each hero do what he knows best: the archer shoots from afar, the tank takes damage and inflicts sensitive blows, and the magician casts spells.

By the way, about spells. There are no healing spells in Dragon Age: Inquisition. This is, in its own way, a unique situation when in role-playing fantasy, where magicians are present in abundance, you can only heal with potions. This innovation was dictated by the need to make the game more difficult and the battles more dangerous. Now the cost of each mistake increases significantly, and magicians do not become indispensable.

Now for the opponents. In principle, you will not have big problems with getting used to the behavior of enemy mobs. Everything is quite banal, especially since teammates are not a burden, but rather actively help in battles, sometimes even taking the initiative. The exception to this is boss battles. Bosses in Dragon Age: Inquisition are a separate story. The main feature of all bosses is that it is not recommended to approach them close or even close. In this case, the bosses are divided into two parts: those that you can still approach and solve your problems, and those that are completely impossible to approach. In this light, the heroes-warriors with melee melee weapons will not look the best, who show themselves well in battle, especially when there are many enemies, they surround, and the surrounding scenery rallied and does not allow maneuver. There, armor and a sword will play an excellent service, but distancers are more suitable against bosses.

Let's take three typical bosses as examples: the pride demon, the stone thrower giant, and the dragon.
The demon of pride is the very first boss. He strongly waves his arms and hits with an electric whip, so it is not recommended to come close to him, especially since he is completely invulnerable to blows. At least until you start destroying the rift: a green glowing ball. Energy needs to be pumped out of it. At the same time, your rest of the team should not so much beat the boss as distract while you suck energy out of the ball. By slightly weakening the rift, you will strip the boss of immunity. That's when you need to come close and beat him with all the super hits that are. After half of his lives have passed, he will begin to call for help. Here you again need to disperse to the sides, give the team an order to destroy the aid that arrived in time, while the main character will again weaken the rift. After the demon has a quarter of its lives, it will become available for any blows. Therefore, he again needs to be surrounded and engaged in close combat.

Quite another matter is a giant throwing stones. The giant is pretty immobile and it is really better to kill it from a distance, however it is quite useful to run up from behind and deliver a few blows to the ankles. The giant will turn for a long time, but when it turns, be prepared for that, he will pick up a stone from the ground and throw it at you. He throws stones very well. To avoid being hit, you need to run as fast as possible, while switching to the hero at which the throw is planned. In general, the giant is the boss who can be defeated in melee and firing from a safe distance, but you need to be prepared for the fact that your safe distance is not so safe.

Well, and the dragon, which breathes with icy breath, definitely needs to be killed only with ranged attacks. If you attack him from behind, you will not have time to do even a couple of blows, as he wags his tail, and you will fly off a good three dozen meters. It is even more difficult to attack him from the front, because the dragon is a dragon, although it is not fire-breathing, but it will not seem a little to you. The dragon is the boss that you need to shoot from afar, while you still have to hide behind obstacles that will be destroyed one by one, so if you drag out the battle, you risk greatly complicating the situation.

And finally, a few tips.

Be sure to hand out tasks to your assistants at the headquarters. A resting helper is useless.

Be sure to collect resources ranging from plants to metals. Closer to the middle of the game, all this will be very useful to you.

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the world is not very interactive. Often there are villages where there is no one to talk to at all, but if you find a talking NPC, then keep up with him until you get everything you can out of him.

Be sure to set up camps. Fast travel between camps is possible. This alone will save you a ton of time.
Be sure to pump up lock picking. In homegrown localization, this skill is called Crafted Hands.

Be sure to equip your mage with three staves: red, blue, and purple. With their help, he will be able to break down magical barriers, behind which there will be a lot of interesting things. The barriers will be of different colors. Selecting staffs for barriers like "rock, scissors, paper" you will significantly expand your own capabilities.

That's all. We hope that our humble Dragon Age: Inquisition guide will help you on your difficult journey through Thedas.

You will receive the quest for obtaining specializations when you first enter Skyhold. You will need to first complete the operation "Specializations for the Inquisitor" on the command headquarters table. Upon its completion, and it does not take time to complete it, you will have three mentors in your fortress (according to the number of specializations that are available to each class). If you have not added a quest upon arrival in Skyhold and there is no corresponding operation on the table of the command rate, then you should visit a location and return back to Skyhold. Then you should talk to each mentor and take an assignment from him for training in a particular specialization. It is possible to complete all three quests from each teacher, but only one specialization can finally be chosen. You can get an idea of each of the specializations from a conversation with a mentor, as well as by looking at the skill tree of your party members, because each of them has its own.

After that, we collect the knife on the application table next to the quartermaster and talk to the Heiress in order to finally choose a specialization.

After that, we create a book about gaps on the request table next to the quartermaster and talk to your mentor to finally choose a specialization.

Dragon Age has such a resounding name for a reason - the most interesting and memorable creatures in this game are undoubtedly dragons. In the first part of the game, Flemeth, the High Dragon on the Top of the Mountain and the Archdemon are remembered, besides them there were also smaller dragons. In the second part, there was one higher dragon at all. The battles with these creatures were interesting and exciting, but in the third part it looks like a boss from some MMORPG.

One appearance of a dragon somewhere in the distance is already an unforgettable sight, so high quality it is done (in contrast to everything else). The behavior of the dragon and in general everything that is connected with it is somehow made alive and realistic - they will let us know in advance where the dragon's lair is, we will understand about its approach by the mighty flapping of its wings, but finally, the dragon cubs will convince us of the correctness of the path.

Yes, you can go to the dragon and die from one blow, or you can go too late and carry this lizard into the lung. When the difficulty and level coincide with the required, then the battle itself becomes really interesting. The dragon does not just bite and flap its wings, it kicks with its hind legs, hits its tail, bounces off too violent attacks, and sometimes uses its special abilities.

In the game Dragon Age: Inquisition, we will be given as many as 10 High Dragons to be torn apart. For their genocide, you can get a lot of influence points, experience and loot (purple things are poured from the dragons, and not one at a time, but several). When fighting dragons, you should remember that sometimes they will bomb from the air with their breath, when they hit, causing a lot of damage, and not necessarily fire. It is quite easy to dodge a flying projectile ... the character we play for, but our narrow-minded comrades-in-arms will come under fire all the time.

All flying lizards can use the whirlwind ability (they begin to flap their wings and suck the whole group towards themselves). At the same time, the dragon does not inflict much damage, but it spoils the location pretty much, it is better to retreat away with your light-dressed damagers. Let's say the archer has a wonderful bounce. In close combat, the dragon can bite painfully, paw or kick a cunning hero in the back, do not forget about the tail, which the dragon also does not disdain to use. In addition, when the dragon's health is brought to a certain state, this very dragon can fly into the air, cut in protection or use its other ability, depending on the type of dragon.

You can also attack individual parts of the dragon, but directing the damage of the entire group to a certain point is quite problematic. Despite this, having cut out a limb, the dragon will lose part of its maneuvers, despite the fact that its general life will also decrease,

Types of dragons

Ferelden frostbite

Level 12
Where to find: Hinterlands, go from the camp near Zakatny to the northeast into the passage between the rocks.
Release and resilience: Fire
Vulnerability: Cold

Tips: Frosty uses a massive stun for a short time, summons cubs coming from different directions (I lured them out and shot them with a bow). It periodically takes off, arranging a bombardment with fire over a large area, it is difficult to dodge this, because the earth will burn decently in time. If you really get bogged down, then it is better to go downstairs, where there will be more space. The dragon has no defense, so when landing, we take out a trifle and plant everything we can. Also, the dragon will sit on the ledges, where archers and magicians will come in handy, and upon completion it will sit on a large ledge in the north. The biggest danger is fire bombardment and small dragons, but if you dress against the fire, take the magicians' staffs on the ice and take out the little things in time, then the dragon is quite light.

Northern hunter

Level 13
Where to find: Crestwood, southwest of Three Trout Farm Camp. On the way, you will meet a manor at the top of the slope - from there you can see the ruins in which the dragon lives.

Vulnerability: Spirit Magic

Tips: Attacks the Northern Hunter with lightning. There is no defense, it does not fly away. Distinctive ability: knows how to create an electric "storm" on the field, which is attached to each of the party members and acts for some time, periodically activating the "chain lightning".

Abyssal High Dragon

Level 14
Where to find: West End, Southwest. To call this beast, you need to complete the quest of the dragon master Frederick, who stands near the camp at the Nazer pass. Having dealt with the bandits, we will have to find a Tevinter tome about dragons (this lies in the Windless Ruins in the left room on a pedestal). After translating the tome, you will need to place the bait on the plateau south of the camp and the dragon will come to get acquainted.
Release and resilience: Fire
Vulnerability: Cold

Tips: The dragon loves her fiery breath very much and is not going to fly away from you anywhere. Sometimes she uses defense, but is generally inactive.

Gamordian Buregon

Level 15
Where to find: Sacred Plain, head north-east. To open the passage to the desired area, you need to complete the operation in the rate for clearing the passage. The dragon lives and enjoys life in the farthest part of the swamps.
Release and resilience: Electricity
Vulnerability: Spirit Magic

Tips: She loves to throw electric bombs, and if she gets into the water, little damage will be done to you, even if you are standing at a sufficient distance from it, but in the same body of water (laws of physics about electrical conductivity, yeah). It also flies into the air at least three times in order to try to "fry" you with a current from a distance with bombs. Does not use defense.

Great Mistral

Level 17
Where to find: Emerald Graves, go north from the camp in Stonezhuti to the cliff (landmark - a large white tree and ruins)
Release and Resilience: Cold
Vulnerability: Fire

Tips: Mistral is a fan of flying. Ice bombs will fly at us from above, but they will not damage so much to be very much afraid of them, and small cubs will not attack us, so you can run a little. He uses defense, although rarely. Ice breath is especially dangerous, which can easily kill a dead archer, or a fairly simple dragon.

Vinsomer

Level 17
Where to find: Stormshore, first of all you need to storm the fortress of Darwin's Estuary in the west. There will be a boat at the far dock, which will take you to Dragon Isle.
Release and resilience: Electricity
Vulnerability: Spirit Magic

Tips: Often cuts in defense and generally behaves quite mobile. He does not like to fly, there is no mass stunning either, instead there are electric bombs and breathing. Knows how to create an electric storm on the field.

Sand mourner

Level 20
Where to find: Whistling Wastes, west of the Sand Cliffs camp. The dragon sleeps peacefully in front of the entrance to Fairel's tomb. If you are completing a quest, then such an attraction will be difficult to miss.
Release and resilience: Fire
Vulnerability: Cold

Tips: The dragon does not fly away, but behaves very mobile. He actively cuts in defense and often summons cubs. Applies fire breath and sets the area on fire with bombs.

Hyvernal

Level 19
Where to find: Emprise du Lyon, west. The area becomes available after the completion of the operation at the headquarters of the command to restore the destroyed bridge - to the west of the camp at the Tower. In addition, the commandant of the fortress gives the task of killing three dragons (if you have already cleared it from Imshel and the red templars). Hyvernal lives on the summit of the first of the three colosseums.
Release and Resilience: Cold
Vulnerability: Fire

Tips: Often uses Blizzard's massive AoE attack that freezes and deals damage over time. Takes off at least 3 times, freezing with breath on descent. Does not use defense, no cubs.

Kaltenzan

Level 21
Where to find: Emprise du Lyon, the second colosseum.
Release and Resilience: Cold
Vulnerability: Fire
Tips: Has a fairly strong mass attack, summons at least two cubs. Flies away several times and uses defense.

Highlands Ruiner

Level 23
Where to find: Emprise du Lyon, the third colosseum.
Release and resilience: Fire
Vulnerability: Cold
Tips: This dragon knows how to massively set fire to an area; before starting, circles are drawn on the ground. Even if you managed to run away from the affected area, its cubs can overtake you, so be careful. The Mountain Bane is the most powerful dragon in the game. Cuts in defense. Do not forget to change your clothes, because unlike the previous two, this dragon is fiery.
