Artillery, unlike historical combat vehicles, is deprived of the ability to shoot direct fire over long distances. The mod to enable sniper aiming mode for artillery eliminates this injustice and makes it possible to use the World of Tanks art-sau as anti-tank guns.

You go into battle, for example, on the German Bison art-sau and can play both as artillery, throwing it across the entire map, and as a tank destroyer, shooting opponents with direct fire. When playing on art in this mode, you need to take into account that you have a huge spread, a complete lack of armor and poor mobility.

The accuracy of artillery is much worse than that of other classes of vehicles. But, if in art mode a projectile hit not directly on the target, but nearby can also cause damage to the enemy, then in sniper mode the projectile will simply fly past the target. Given the long reload time for artillery, such a mistake could be fatal.

Poor armor and mobility means you can't glow at all. When detected, the chances of driving away or getting armor ricocheted are minimal. If you are playing in art mode and an enemy has broken into your base light tank, then there is still a chance for his allies to destroy him before he destroys you. But if you play on art in pt-mode (sniper), then most likely your combat vehicle is in the line of sight of the enemy. Unsuccessful camouflage and exposure in this case usually means a volley of several barrels at you and sending you to the hangar.

Setting

The mod configuration is located in the cammod.cfg file in the scripts\client\mods directory. In it, you can change the buttons that enable various aiming modes, as well as the free camera. mod on sniper scope for art is not a cheat, but a mod for a free camera in battle -

The sniper aiming mode is used in battles almost more often than the arcade one. This is by no means justified on all tanks from the point of view of achieving victory in battle. For tank destroyers, in which the sniper mode is the main one, it is almost mandatory to install a zoom mode.

It is clear that with such a large tank in sight, just hitting it is already an achievement. But the accuracy of the guns of many tanks and tank destroyers allows you to do much more accurate shots and, even to target vulnerable areas of the armor. If the accuracy of your gun is less than 0.4 per 100 meters, then it already makes sense to target vulnerable areas. Large calibers with high burst damage and spread can also be used at long distances. In this case, of course, a miss is more likely, but hitting the center of the circle of information is also more likely than the edge, so the 30x zoom mode will be useful here too.

30x zoom from koshnaranek can be set in one of four configurations, which differ in the maximum zoom value - x30 or x16 - and the number of intermediate zoom steps. If you don’t like any of them, then the mod is easily configured by editing the ZoomX.xml file, which is located in the gui folder. The multiplicity is edited by changing the value of the "zooms" parameter. You can set any sequence, given that the maximum number of steps is ten, and the maximum multiplicity is no more than 30.

This mod for the sniper mode was developed by the author under the nickname MeltyMap, who has been creating various modifications for WoT for a long time. The presented sight includes information about the penetration of the tank, as well as a zoom that significantly increases the magnification of aiming. The mod, in particular, will show users the thickness of the enemy's armor and the angle of entry of the projectile into it.

The modification will be useful not only for beginners, but also for experienced gamers. It works everywhere, even on equipment with a loading drum. Like a number of others for the sniper mode, this one is in great demand among the players, as it turned out to be of very high quality.

It is worth noting that with the release of a new patch, the creator of the modification introduces various changes so that the penetration data corresponds to the update.
