Walkthrough of the game Realm Defense. Realm Defense - a very high quality clone of Kingdom Rush Realm defense which hero is better

The forces of evil have gained sufficient power and are keeping the surrounding villages in fear, not giving their residents peace. But you, as a brave knight, will consider it an honor to clear these lands of the oppressor monsters infesting them. This scenario unfolds in a defensive strategy from Babeltime Inc. Organize your defense strategy so that not a single enemy creature can penetrate peaceful settlements. Build and place towers and barracks in advantageous positions, effectively manage your heroes and triumph and glory await you.

Realm Defense is eerily similar to another series tower defense- . But we won’t compare these games so that people who have never played Kingdom Rush will understand what the point is.

The graphical component of Realm Defense is at the proper level - picturesque landscapes, colorfully drawn units of enemies and heroes, “live” animation of everything that happens. The soundtrack will also delight you with its variety - the loud discharges of guns, the howls of monsters, the whistling of arrows and the clang of metal - all this encourages complete immersion in the battle taking place on the screen.

(We place the towers)

You have to defend the roads leading to the village, along which monsters advance in waves, the diversity of which is surprising; by the way, each type of monster has its own characteristics.

(Last wave)

In accordance with this circumstance, you need to place your defensive forces as efficiently as possible.

(Full frozen)

You have 4 types of towers in your arsenal - an archer tower, a mage tower, a soldier tower and a cannon tower. The construction of towers costs a certain amount of coins, as well as their subsequent improvements, of which there are a lot.

(Tower upgrade)

A hero also participates in the defense, at first one is available to you (later in the scenario you will open others) with special abilities. Heroes - archer, Lancelot knight, ninja, rabbit with a sword, etc. Heroes, increasing their level, become stronger and their special. abilities are enhanced.

(Downloading Lancelot)

Another thing that can help you is a wolf, a squad of ninjas, etc. They last for a certain time, but they can be used several times during one wave of monster invasion.

Bonuses can also help you out in difficult times - a bomb, freezing an enemy, resurrecting a hero, an assistant boxer.

(Bonuses for donation)

For winning missions you will be rewarded with coins (spent on buildings and improvements), as well as bottles of energy for upgrading heroes and participating in next missions, as well as crystals (using them you can hire new heroes) and stars, the latter can be spent on development tower skills. As the game progresses, complete quests and receive rewards.

(Total mess)

The game features the ability to play online, where you compete with other users in the Grand Tournament.

You will have several lives, which are taken away for each monster allowed into the village; as soon as they run out, the level is failed.

At the moment, the game has 3 worlds, about 40 levels, in each of which you can expect 5 or more waves of attacks from the forces of evil.

Some useful tips:

Don't forget to collect daily bonuses;
- place knight barracks next to the towers - the knights slow down the enemies, and the towers shoot them;
- block roads with squads of your warriors;
- don’t let the monsters catch up with the local resident when he asks you for help;
- neutralize the bandits, they do not run on the roads;
- during a wave of monster attacks, you can upgrade and build new towers or transfer troops on the map;
- use bonuses and assistants in accordance with their special features. abilities.

The game is available for free on the AppStore. For real money you can additionally purchase crystals.

Pros: Free access. Wide functionality and development system. Addictive gameplay. Rich graphics and decent animation. The game does not require an Internet connection. A large number of levels. Competitive mode. No advertising
Minuses: There is no support for the Russian language. Very similar to Kingdom Rush.
Conclusions: The developers, without a doubt, have come up with an excellent defensive strategy with wide functionality, quite diverse units and exciting gameplay. It will interest gamers of any age and gender.

Gameplay video from the game Realm Defense - fun tower defense game for iPad

Tower defense games have always attracted attention, and when mobile gaming appeared, they became a ubiquitous phenomenon on the smartphones of many users. The game Realm Defense: Hero Legends TD, which is distributed free of charge and does not require registration, especially stands out against the background of lackluster competitors.

Game description

As is the case in most fantasy stories, you are a hero who simply must save the kingdom. It was the same in the old one Real versions Defense: Thornament, this remains the case in Hero Legends. However, the plot comes last here; what matters is the gameplay. Which, by the way, is capable of capturing the attention of users for a long time.

The game is divided into levels that must be completed to complete the task and increase your reputation. Each level represents a road, or several roads, along which enemy troops march. There are also places on the side of the road to build defensive fortifications.

The first level is training. It is here that the developers explain the mechanics and introduce the interface. As for the latter, everything is simple - click on the building site, select a tower and build it. Attention should be paid to the mechanics. For example, towers can be improved over time. And the further you go in the game, the more upgrades are available.

Real Defense also includes MOBA elements. Along the hero’s path, that is, after a certain number of levels, friendly characters will join you. They are not tied to any place on the map and can move anywhere. In addition, they have their own skills, for example, in the first level there will be a character with the ability to summon wolves.

Even though the game may seem simple at first, over time the levels will become so difficult that you will definitely not be able to master them the first time. However, there are some secret tactics, if you can call them that. In any case, it is worth listening to the advice that will be voiced below:

  1. It is better to install magic towers on straight sections of the road. Then they will be able to deal damage to the entire line of advancing enemies at once.
  2. It is not recommended to install cannon towers first on the route of an enemy unit. The fact is that these towers have a low rate of fire and enemies will easily pass by without stopping.
  3. Cannon towers are best placed at crossroads next to knights. The knights will fight with the enemies, thereby delaying them, at which time the guns will be able to inflict maximum damage.
  4. Characters with a ranged attack should not stand on the path. It is better to move them closer to the forest, so they will not receive damage.
  5. It is better to call wolves to those places where you need to detain enemies. For example, in front of an empty tower of knights, so that they have time to leave.

These are tips that relate directly to the gameplay. For the rest, follow your preferences: improve those characteristics of the characters that you consider appropriate for your playstyle.

Levels, towers and money

We've sorted out the tactics, now let's move on to analyzing the management and locations of the game. First of all, let's talk about levels. At the moment there are more than a hundred of them, so you shouldn’t think about the duration of the passage, especially since with each update the developers plan to increase their number.

Tower Defense cannot exist without towers, because they are included in the very name of the genre. There are only four types in the Realm Defense game: a wizard tower, a cannon, a barracks with knights, and an archer tower. This set is quite enough to maintain balance.

Before this, nothing was said about resources, but they are in the game. At the beginning of the battle you receive a certain amount of gold coins. They are spent on building and improving towers. During the battle, they drop out of almost everything: for killed enemies, for repelling a wave, for saving a civilian. The game also contains crystals - a rare resource that costs real money and is spent on special character upgrades.

Download game Realm Defense

Having dealt with all aspects of the gameplay, it’s worth talking about how to install Realm Defense on Android. And this is quite simple to do:

  1. Click the “Download” button at the beginning of this page.
  2. Download the installation file for Real Defense: Hero Legends TD.
  3. Accept all agreements and wait for the installation to complete.

Immediately after this, a corresponding icon will appear in the phone menu, after clicking on which the game will be launched.

Hero Name: Fee Specialties: Ranged attacks + lane control Feral Spirit - Active - Summons 1 Wolf (2 at level 2) at the location you designate (Global) Eagle Eye - Passive - Increases range (range increases further at level 2) Kill Shot - Passive - Whenever it "s fired off it"s an auto crit (Unknown what level 2 does) Rapid Fire - Fires a volley of 10 shots in a row (Unknown what level 2 does) Pros: -First Hero you get and she is free -Excellent utility with her wolf summon to catch stray mobs from sneaking past -Ranged attack can hit air units -Active has a low Cooldown -Currently the only hero that can get level 2 skills. Cons: -Non-Existent HP (Keep her out of lane or she will die and she still might die to ranged units) -Doesn"t start to hit harder till after she gets both kill shot and rapid fire. -Active quickly becomes useless on Endless Maps (it simply dies way too quickly during later waves.) Summary: Fee is one of those heroes that would generally surprise most folks given how A) she is free and B) she doesn't completely suck compared to other heroes. For the F2P player, she will be one of your bread and butter units that will be a staple to your team for quite some time during your early levels. While her kit struggles on certain game modes, she is arguably one of the best heroes you could have access to as a freebie. Investing in her is highly advised especially for those of you early on in the game. Overall Grade: A

Hero Name: Lancelot Specialties: Troop Support - Tank - Lane Control Holy Shield - Active - Globally shields all heroes and ground units (Soldier Towers) from damage. Healing Cry - Passive - Periodically heals heroes and units around him. Sword Bash - Passive - Periodically smashes an enemy for an insta crit + stun Fist of Judgment - Tagets an area on the map and summons a fist dealing aoe damage at random. (Global) Pros: -Second Hero you get and he is free -Excellent utility with his heal + shield -Tanky and pairs well with Soldier Towers. -Decent CC -High HP-Good at holding choke points. Cons: -Melee (Can"t hit air units) -Active has a long CD (Expect to only have it once per wave) -Low Damage -Fist of Judgment is a lackluster skill in general Summary: Lancelot is the first of many melee heroes that suffer from the wrath from the bird demon overlords who rule the sky"s above the lanes. Lancelots saving grace is the fact that he is indeed a freebie which is quite possibly the only thing that saves him. His heal and his shield are nice when you are early on in the game and don't have a lot of options for a choke point tank. His bash is incredibly unpredictable and only targets one enemy. To add insult to injury his final skill "Fist of Judgment" does subpar damage and offers little to your control of the lanes. Overall he is a decent hero for being a freebie, otherwise he will be quickly replaced whenever you have access to others. Overall Grade: B

Hero Name: Bolton Specialties: CC + Ranged Nuke Lightning Bolt - Active - Targets an to deal heavy AoE damage. Chain Bolt - Passive - Bolton "s auto attack chains to enemies Shock Orb - Passive - Launches an Orb that shocks, stuns, and damages enemies. Master of the Storm - Tagets an area on the map and summons a lightning storm to deal damage to any enemies coming through it (Gem Cost: 1500 or $5 if you buy his timed bundle) Pros: -Great AoE Damage -Decent Crowd Control -Ranged attack can hit air units and can chain to other enemies Cons: -Shock Orb isn't controllable -Low HP (dies easily if you try to use his auto too liberally. -Doesn"t start to really do damage till level 9 -Costs Gems or Cash-Worse than Efrigid in everyway Summary: Bolton is an easy trap for many new players due to the fact that the game likes to tease you with a $5 promo bundle after his level. While he is a "good" unit he is unfortunately not a "Great" unit. His kit sadly requires you to invest in him quite a bit before he starts to really be useful. At the time you get him or this bundle you might be asking yourself is he worth the time and investment? If you were to purchase him for $5 I would argue with you why not just pay the extra $6 to get efrigid? If you are thinking of spending gems on him I"d ask you, would you be better off saving those gems to get something better? My opinions of Bolton might improve once he has access to his level 2 skills down the road. As he stands currently there are far better options to save up and spend your gems and money on. Edit Level 2 Summary: So this is one of the units I was GENUINELY surprised with his level 2 update. The devs must have seen him lacking in comparison to some of the other heroes and gave him some significant buffs with his level 2 skills. He is still nowhere near Efrigids level, however he is now a solid choice that I have raised his grade to an A from his previous B. A solid $5 investment if you are looking for a cheap 3rd hero early on. Overall Grade: A

Hero Name: Masamune Specialties: Melee Nuker - Map Control - Choke Point Control Teleport Blast - Active - Teleports to an area, deals aoe damage, stuns all targets (Low CD) Sharp Sword - Passive - Crits cause bleed damage (Dot Damage not % HP damage) Finish Them - Passive - Attacks against stunned enemies = auto crits Shadow Clones - KAGE BUNSHIN NO...okay i"ll stop - Creates shadow duplicates that appear to have a taunt effect. (I.e. the enemies prioritize them over Masamune. ) Cost: 1500 Gems (No Bundles available yet) Pros: -Excellent Map Control -Great Damage -Exceptional Choke Point control (Shadow clones is almost always up.) -On Demand CC is on a short cooldown) Cons: -Melee (Can "t hit air units) -Relatively low HP for a melee unit-Finish them is incredibly situation and forces him to be paired with another hero that can stun to capitalize on it (Bolton/Sethos/Obsidian, Lancelot.) -Incredibly Vulnerable till he gets shadow clones at level 9 (Trust me he is a nightmare to level early on.) -Costs 1500 Gems Summary: I REALLY want to like Masamune, I do...but his price point is really hard to justify for what you get from him and how quickly he falls off. Masamune is a great concept as a whole with his entire kit (Minus finish him). However he falls short because there are so many heroes that would be more than happy to outclass him. Masamune does great damage and also has great map control for those pesky fast units that somehow get through your blockades. Outside of that though he lacks the HP lancelot and other tanky melees have before level 9. This can not only lead to frustrating times on maps, but also buyers remorse for spending 1500 of your precious gems on him. I really hope the devs consider lowering his price point as he isn't a terrible unit for beginners, but he is simply too expensive to justify in comparison to others. This might change however whenever he gets his level 2 skills. Overall Grade: C ( solely because he costs way too much) - Otherwise he is a B grade.

Hero Name: Connie Specialties: Choke point control, CC, Damage Summon Bunnies - Active - Summon a swarm of 10 killer bunnies. (Global) Snare - Passive - Periodically fires a second attack that slows enemies Bunny Bombers - Passive - Rabbit "s deal explosive AoE damage after they die. (Comparable damage to the skeleton soliders on map 3) Bunny Mama - Summons the bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. (Seriously this rabbit can take an insane amount of hits.) Cost: 1500 Gems Pros: -Has TWO different summon abilities -Rabbit aoe damage is great when dealing with Fast enemies -Active has an average cool down but might go off twice between waves. -Insane chokepoint control (Her summons really like the world 1 map mage towers with the attack speed boost.) -Snare is similar to the slow from the archer towers on Map 1. -Ranged Attack (Can hit air units) Cons: -Weak damage from Connie herself (It"s a slingshot what do you expect?) -Summons can easily be ignored by air units. -Low HP -Costs 1500 Gems Summary: Connie is the first of the world 1 heroes in the 1500 price range that is actually worth considering. Not only does she have an incredible global active, her bunny mama passive has a LOW cd whenever it keels over from taking too much heat. Connie is unfortunately a similar victim like Masamune where she costs way too much. However she is an incredibly affordable subsitute for Efrigid if you are wanting to bank the gems later for Sethos and Helios. Connie's only major weaknesses are the fact that her auto attacks hit like a wet noodle and she has no HP to write home about. Despite these drawbacks though she is an excellent unit that i can never say anything bad about. I still use mine Connie from time to time over Sethos if the map warrants it. Edit for Level 2 Abilities: Honestly I would say that her upgraded skills has given her a moderate boost but sorely lacked on delivery compared to the other hero updates. She"s still firmly an A hero but not enough to even earn an A+ in my book. She is however still VERY useful for shattered realm maps with the thiefs when you need spot summons to intercept those slippery thiefs. Overall Grade: A

Hero Name: Hogan (I got kicked out of the WWE now I am wrestling pigs in phone games) Specialties: Choke point control, Damage Bacon Toss - Active - Throws his pig like a nuclear pig missile and deals heavy aoe damage Ax Toss - Passive - Periodically fires a second attack that can attack air units as well Bouncing Ax - Passive - Ax Toss periodically bounces between enemies (Proc rate is very high) Fast Chop - Increases attack speed and move speed (Always active not a proc) Cost: 1500 Gems Pros: -Currently the only melee that can attack ground and air units -His damage gets pretty rediculous especially with aoe (At level 9 it gets even more rediculous) -Deceptively tanky despite having zero CC -Great choke point control if paired with soldier units -Bacon toss is currently one of the strongest aoe nukes in the game (I"ve tested it at level 20 and it does a bit more damage towards the center than Smoulder"s Inferno but the impact radius is smaller.) Cons: - Very hard to place on a team (if we had four hero slots i would definitely consider him) -Has ZERO CC (I seriously wish bacon toss had a stun or a slow) -Has little stopping power (he will melt fast if he doesn't "t have soldiers from a soldier tower supporting him.)-He might have HP but it will disappear quickly if he gets focused. -Costs 1500 Gems Summary: Hogan is one of those units that falls in the category of limited slots on a team and not able to justify one of the three without a significant sacrifice. Hogan's damage gets pretty stupid very quickly if he can do what he does best; which is melt faces. The problem however, in order for him to shine he has to be paired with someone bulkier to soak for him. Sadly he brings nothing but raw damage to the table (No support, no CC, and little lane stopping power). When you think about a tower defense composition especially for endless and tournaments, not having any additional roles is an incredible weakness to not have. This doesn" t mean things won"t change in the future. Given the fact we have two locked slots that we don"t exactly know what goes there yet and he doesn"t have access to level 2 abilities; we may be in for a surprise. If you want someone that pairs well with an early game team go for it. Overall Grade: A (Tentative till we see what goodies come down the road.)

Hero Name: Smoulder (He is fire he is death) Specialties: Anti-Air, CC, AoE, Nuker Inferno - Active - Nukes a targeted large area for a substantial amount of damage Rain of Fire - Passive - Drops Meteors that gets near him . (The text says near him but he will fire it off the moment someone is in his circle of range. Mighty Gust - Passive - Fires a Torndao that follows a line (much like the mage tower) dealing damage and slowing targets. Heat Seekers - Passive - Fires a cluster of shots at a single target. (Note he will prioritize air units with this if they are in range.) Cost: 3000 Gems or $10.99 for his bundle Pros: -Air Unit (Cannot be targeted by melee ground units ) -Absolutely shreds air units ESPECIALLY when they get into melee range. -Active deals a large burst of damage to clusters of enemies -Amazing sustained aoe damage -Mighty gust provides a lot of CC with how often it fires. -A metric crapton of HP for an air unit (you would have to try and get him killed for it to happen.) Cons: -No stopping power for ground units -Active falls off in endless mode after a while (The damage eventually gets outscaled by enemy HP) -Active has an insanely long cooldown (Don't expect to fire it off more than once per wave.) -Costs 3000 Gems or $10.99 for his bundle Summary: Welcome to the first hero you should buy period. (You will get a lot of gems VERY quickly in the early game, make sure you don't waste them before getting this guy.) Smoulder is a unit I would argue gets way too much mileage for what you have to pay for him. He's arguably one of the most well rounded heroes in the roster. The fact the only cons I could list for him are his stopping power and some relatively MINOR issues with his active speaks for the dragon himself. Smoulder is likely to be one of those units that just keeps getting better the more they update the game. (i.e. adding w.e. the locked slots are and his eventual level 2 abilities.) Investing in him early with either Gems or buying his bundle outright is a safe pick that I can assure you won"t regret. Overall Grade: S

Hero Name: Efrigid (Aka I have more Elsa and Winter is coming jokes than you can shake a fist at) Specialties: The Queen of CC, AoE Damage, did I mention she has stupid amounts of CC? Frost Orb - Active - Fires a Swirling Orb of Frost that damages and freezes all enemies that get hit by it. (Note this ability fires from where SHE is currently positioned so be mindful when you aim it.) Ice Trap - Passive - Conjures a blast of ice beneath enemies. The initial damage up front deals heavy damage then slows and deals dot damage to enemies passing over it. (Semi Global it has a rediculous range.) Absolute Zero - Passive - Fires a ringe of frost around where she is currently positioned freezing all enemies in place. (The blast radius on this thing is huge so you don"t have to place her in the direct path way to gain the benefits from it.) Blizzard - Passive - If you"ve played Warcraft 3 or WoW then you know what this does . Rains a number of ice bolts from the sky over an area and slows all passing through it. (Global) Cost: 3000 Gems or $10.99 for her bundle Pros: -Can attack air units (albeit her autos do a pitiful amount of damage her spells on the other hand hit like a truck.) -Has the most CC out of any hero currently available. -Active is an amazing on demand AoE CC with a moderate cooldown. -Insane AoE Damage output -Her spell range exceeds her auto attack range, so you can position her comfortably away from the battle without risking her getting shattered by enemy units. -Her passive spells fire frequent and have little downtime. Cons: -Very frail (not as bad as masamune or fee but will die easily if you neglect her positioning.) -She is so pop culture heavy you"ll be groaning constantly -Costs 3000 Gems or $10.99 for her bundle Summary: The Ice Queen herself is a pretty insane unit for what you get in the package. Her CC capabilities are second to none currently. So you might be asking "Hey LordStrell, why aren't you telling us that she"s a staple unit like Smoulder?" Truth be told she is a great unit but I consider her a luxury unit and not a necessity. Her kit will carry you from map 1 to map 60 from start to finish. The combination of Fee Smoulder and Efrigid is the combo I did up till i was able to afford Sethos and Helios. If you want to buy her outright then please go ahead and do so without any hesitation. If you don"t mind grinding a bit more trying to get Sethos and Helio then by all means get her; you won't regret it. I guarantee however, that once you read my section on Sethos and Helios you may want to reconsider dropping the 3k gems for her. Edit Post Level 2 skills: So her update really pushed her to being comparable to Smoulder in terms of raw utility. Her CC alone was already amazing but after her update it"s even stronger than it was before. The fact that her aoe damage went up along with the update is just gravy on the cake. Her buying priority hasn"t changed but I would stress her as more of a neccessity instead of a luxury now. She really answers a lot of threats that smoulder simply can"t in the current meta. Overall Grade: S+

Hero Name: Obsidian (Malphite is that you?) Specialties: Summoner, Choke point control, CC, Tank Earth Explosion - Active - Deals a heavy aoe to a VERY large targeted area dealing damage and briefly slowing enemies (attack speed and movement speed. ) Ground Spike - Passive - Fires ground spikes randomly up at enemy waves dealing aoe damage (Global) Rock Buddies - Passive - Summons two minions he does, no more, no less (They have more HP than Fee"s wolves do.) Shake and Break - Passive - AoE that hits the ENTIRE map for damage and stuns all enemies Cost: 3000 Gems Pros: -Extremely Sticky, and almost impossible for most enemies to get by (unless they are air) -Exceptional at catching fast units -Active deals a large amount of damage (less than Smoulder, Bolton and Hogan.) But gains the added benefit of a heavy slow. -Amazingly tanky -Summons help catch units that try to slip by and don"t have to be micro-managed like fee"s active. -Shake and break hits EVERYTHING on the map and stuns them. (Sadly not his active but it fires off frequently enough that it"s just as good.) Cons: -Melee (Can"t attack air units.) -SLOW movement speed (once you position him he isn"t getting anywhere fast. ) -Can only be bought with gems (3000 is a huge chunk of gems.)-Low damage output outside of his autos. (Ground spike"s damage is pretty negligible in most late game waves.) Summary: Alas poor obsidian, I wish I had the space for you. Obsidian is an incredible tank hero that costs an incredible amount of gems. He is by far the BEST stall wall in the game but sadly falls short because that"s all he is. Obsidian does his job which is holding a choke point down while other units nuke and deal damage for him. By all standards that is great because it takes some incredible amounts of damage to pressure through him. The problem is that with obsidian comes the crux of him not contributing any real damage outside of his active; which like smoulder"s falls off in endless mode. The fact that he doesn"t have a bundle associated with him and costs 3000 gems really presses you into a corner of "What does he do that Sethos doesn"t do?" The best I can say is that he is capable of holding a larger quantity of units for far longer...that"s about it. Case and point he will likely get better once they add his level 2 skills and then some. In the present he is a luxury more than a necessity but his grade won't change for the quality of a unit he is. Overall Grade: S

Hero Name: Sethos Specialties: Anti-Giant, CC, AoE, Nuker, Tank Burrow Blitz - Active - Teleports to the target location, deals damage, AND stuns all enemies in the immediate impact radius. (it"s a small radius around the size of where the X is directly placed.) Spiked Armor - Passive - Fires an aoe around his immediate self whenever enemies attack him directly (it fires off at a rediculous rate.) Envenom - Passive - Injects an enemy with venom that deals % hp damage. After said unit dies it EXPLODES and poisons everything else around it. Envenom seems to hit more than one enemy but he fires it off so frequently it"s hard to tell. (Not to mention the spread effect from the enemy death also skews the visual.) Sandstorm - Passive - A MASSIVE aoe surrounding Sethos is released when units approach his attack range that deals heavy damage, a blind, and a slow effect comparable to Obsidians. The refire rate on this ability is also moderately frequent. Cost: 6000 Gems (OUCH) Pros: -YEA IT"S THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH (Arguably has the highest HP pool and defense rating in the game. Granted he also has an AoE blind which likely inflates this number. -Absolutely shreds giant units - Active allows incredible global presence -Suprisingly fast attack speed -Envenom"s damage output is outright ludicrous for a passive. (Seriously the poison dot spread and explosion damage makes you really wonder if this guy is really a tank. -Spike armor further makes you question his role as a tank since it does AOE damage whenever someone attacks him.-Sandstorm hits ANY unit including air units. The blind lasts far longer than the slow but he is currently the only hero outside of the Mirror Towers on Map 3 with a blind effect. -Can solo hold a choke point by himself (pair him with Helios, Smoulder Efrigid or Hogan and laugh at the results.) Cons: -Melee (Can"t attack air units.) -Costs 6000 gems Summary: I am not really sure what the devs were thinking when they made this guy but it"s pretty clear they didn"t want you to get this guy easily. On top of having one of the most intensively boss battle levels in the game, Sethos is an outright monster to have on your team roster. There isn't really much to argue about his validity, Sethos has the crown for being uncontested in almost every regard in terms of CC, tankiness, and having damage all wrapped in one package. The barrier to entry is the BIGGEST hurdle and arguably the hardest part about getting him; 5000 gems is nothing to play around with. The question comes up a lot in which to buy first, Sethos or Helios? It"s more a personal preference and it"s a tough call by anyones standards. IMHO Sethos should always be taken as a priority in comparison to Helios solely because he is such a game changer when it comes to choke point control. However if you do prefer getting Helios first MAKE SURE you have someone to tank the chokepoints on the ground. Overall Grade: Legendary

Hero Name: Helios Specialties: Support,AoE, Nuker, Anti-Air Flame On - Active - (Disney says that the Fantastic 4 don"t exist anymore so you might have to make like efrigid and let this reference go.) Drops a circle of fire beneath her that provides a haste aura and an AoE damage zone. (BTW it stacks with the mage tower haste buff) Empower - Passive - Grants a single tower that is nearby her an attack speed buff. (This buff is similar to what the viking ax tower does to other towers. Sun Orb - Passive - Drops a MASSIVE aoe nuke a location and deals aoe damage over time for the duration of the orb. Diffusion - Passive - Fires 5 orbs that travel outwards dealing heavy damage to anyone caught in their path. (This ability fires off from where Helios is positioned so make sure she"s directly along the path.) Cost: 6000 Gems (OUCH) Pros: -BY FIRE BE PURGED (She seriously has some of the most rediculous damage output in the game.) -Flame on provides a unique haste buff to all units in the area of the AOE. The haste buff again does stack with the mage tower haste buff which can lead to some hilarious damage output when combine with Sethos and Smoulder. (Note the haste buff also hastens the cooldown of active abilities slightly.) -Incinerates air units with little effort. -Default attack speed is incredibly fast. -Pairs well with ANY team combination. -Has a rediculous amount of HP and tankiness for an air unit Cons: -Has zero stopping power for ground units. -Has ZERO CC -Costs 6000 gems Summary: Now here is a story for all of you who might not have been around for when Helios first came about. Helios at one point was absolutely garbage for the price point that she was sold at. Then they buffed her...and now she is burning everything in sight. I still question what the devs were even thinking when they constructed these units other than how can we make these units justifiable for 5000 gems. Helios as a unit just shreds both land and air units with relative ease. Combining her with other units makes her a harbinger of death and destruction. Case and point she is a must have for any roster and arguably one of the most powerful units in the game. If it wasn't for her complete lack of CC and her inability to stop ground units I would call her broken beyond repair. Good luck in farming the 5000 gems you need to unlock her, it's a doozy. Edit for Level 2 Upgrades: Helios was already an incredible hero, this update really pushed her over the top to a disgusting extent. However there is something I have noticed in my experiments in the game with team comps. The biggest being that she does not handle anti air as well as smoulder does anymore. In the last two tournaments I have noticed her being unable to deal with air units to a comparable degree that smoulder does. I am not sure if this was a recent change to balance her out or to make her more focused as an aerial anti-ground specialist. However this has been noticeable mostly in the tournament modes and not on other maps. This could be a skewed perspective but I believe they might have subtley nerfed her when it comes to anti-air. Note her active still manages to damage air units heavily and she still pairs well with smoulder. However smoulder"s spot is currently contested by Efrigid for most team compositions at the top of the charts. Overall Grade: Legendary
