Sometimes the download and installation process freezes, or installed games do not start. Follow the steps below to fix problems with Origin games and continue playing.

Loading games in Safe Mode now happens by default in Origin. This means that you do not have to launch it yourself when trying to solve the problem, because all your games will already be loaded in Safe Mode.

If you are using a PC and your downloads are stuck at the 4GB mark, it is possible that the problem is caused by formatting the hard drive. Some hard drives are formatted with the FAT32 file system, which can cause problems with files larger than 4 GB.

To find out the file system of your hard drive, follow the instructions below:

Click on the menu "Start" on the Windows taskbar.
Find "This computer".
Right-click on this item and select "Control".
Please select "Disk Management".

You will see all your disks, the size of their partitions and the format (for example, (C :) XXGBNTFS or FAT32)... If you have a second hard drive, check its format.

Close the Origin client
Open up "Control Panel"(it can be found by keywords"Control panel" in start menu).
Click on "Removing a program" under the heading "Programs".
Press Origin and select "Delete".
Reinstall Origin

Try to run Origin as administrator:

Close the Origin client
Right-click on the Origin client shortcut on your desktop (or in the Origin folder if there is no shortcut on your desktop) and select "Run as administrator".

This will launch the Origin client as administrator, which will install the game.

Try changing your User Account Control settings:

Close the Origin client
Click on the button Windows and type "UAC" in the search bar.
In the window that appears User Account Control Settings lower the slider (by pressing and holding it) to the minimum level.

Try reinstalling Origin:

Close the Origin client
Open up Finder.
Open the folder "Programs".
Drag and drop Origin in shopping cart or right-click on the icon and select "Move to Trash".
Right click on shopping cart and select "Empty trash".
Reinstall Origin, then try installing the game.

Try to run the file with the .dmg extension:

Close the Origin client and other secondary programs.
Click on "Go"on the menu Finder at the top of the screen.
Please select "Computer".
Open up Macintosh HD> Libraries> Application Support> Origin> DownloadCache.
Find the folder of the game you are trying to install and look for the file with the extension .dmg.
Open the file with the extension .dmg... Thus, you will start the game in the same way as starting from disk.
- If an error occurs during startup or you cannot find the file with the extension .dmg, the game will not work.
