How to make a station in minecraft. Guides: Construction of a railway station with automatic dispatch of wagons. Creation of minecarts in Minecraft

We will continue to build the railroad, but this time, our construction will be more complicated. In this article, we will consider complex interchanges, the basic rules for the construction of railways. You can connect new paths to existing paths and build more and more complex path schemes. To illuminate the paths, pressure rails are placed and lamps are connected to them. Or red torches are put through an inverter. Everywhere the southeast rule applies, the rule is T, the rule of descents.

Rule of descent, rule T, rule of the southeast corner.

Descent rule- if the perpendicular rails are brought to the descent, the trolley will go down when passing along the latter.

Rule T- if you bring another one to the turning track, when passing along the last one, the trolley will go straight.

Southeast corner rule- if you bring perpendicular rails to a straight line, when passing along the latter, the trolley will always turn south or east.

How to build correctly (construction features)

Trolleys

Automatic movement of trolleys is possible only if they are on the rails. Trolleys that are not on the rails can only be moved from their place by constantly pushing them. There are 5 types of minecarts:

  1. Passenger - transport the player and mobs, they can be pushed, dispersed by electric rails or a trolley with a stove;
  2. Freight - for the carriage of goods, the same traffic rules as the previous ones.
  3. A trolley with a stove - like a diesel locomotive, sets in motion other trolleys, slips the electric rails "without noticing" them, like ordinary rails.
  4. Trolleys with TNT - these trolleys explode when passing activated activating branches, without damaging the railroad tracks.
  5. Trolleys with a funnel - you can put rails on a chest or a funnel and then things from the trolleys with a funnel will be transferred to the lower funnel.

You will not be able to disperse several trolleys on the tracks at once, at turns the trolleys collide and the next trolley after the first rolls back, but this rule of movement does not apply to the movement of trolleys with a stove.

Slides

Example railroad up the hill.

When going uphill, the trolley with the stove should accelerate well. To move uphill on the electric tracks, you will have to put several blocks of electric rails one after the other. When descending a hill, a simple trolley accelerates, but a trolley with a stove does not change speed.

Diagonal paths

Diagonal paths.

You can lay the rails as shown, and the trolleys will move normally in a straight line without shaking. It is possible to build such paths to cover more territories and make it more convenient to build turns.

Safety regulations

Your railroad can be threatened by water and lava, so build a road away from them. If the rails are located below a water source close to them, they will be washed away by the current when the lowland is filled with water, the creepers explode or the wall of the water tank is damaged. Lava burns the rails.

A sneaking creeper can blow up the ground around the rail and explode the rails. You can protect yourself by fencing the rails with a fence or impassable blocks.

Nearby minefields can also damage the railway.

In hell, ghasts can blow up a railway - these are giant jellyfish spewing fire.

To monitor the condition of the road, the player can lay a red dust track with a repeater along the railway and turn it on at the beginning with a red torch. If the wire is damaged by the explosion, the torch will go out.

Railway stations

In the game, railway stations do useful work - they accept trolleys, they can change the direction of their movement. Railway stations can be installed in any economic facility - house, mine, forest.

When building a station, you first need to lay the rails, demolish the curved rail and lay it again. Red dust is drawn to the rail from the button on the side of the opposite rail curvature (see figure). On the same side, a rail is placed - a button, otherwise the trolleys will not stop at this station. After running, the trolleys need to be removed from the rails or an automatic station built.

Automatic station

To build, you will need: 10 electric rails, 2 push rails, 3 red torches, 2 buttons, 4 to 6 blocks of earth, 4 blocks of red dust, 1 repeater for 0.8 seconds (as a signal delay), regular rails in the desired design quantity - in our design - 10 pieces.

First, we put in an automatic motion trigger. Until version 1.5, the trolley did not move even from the rail included under it. It could only be nudged, which is difficult to accomplish while in the trolley. This problem is solved if a block is placed close to the rail. Put a block of land, put an electric rail on it, then close to it the usual rails and 3 blocks of electric rails, and to them to turn on more blocks and a button. The red torch can be hidden under the rails by digging under them to remove the torch one block from the rails. Next, combine the paths, you get a fork. Further, on the path indicated by the fork, the descending rails and opposite to the arrow, replace them with pressure rails. From them the redstone path leads directly to the arrow. Set the repeater to the maximum delay - otherwise the trolley will not have time to slip into adjacent tracks - the arrow will switch in front of it.

Automatic station for two cars.

On the presented sample of the station - each trolley that has stopped will be poked in the pockets until the first free slot. True, you have to push the trolley standing on the pressure rails. The trolleys will leave directly without going into every pocket. You can drive to such a station unlimited quantity minecarts, for this you need to redo the additional slots as in the picture.

Building a railroad in Minecraft is a fairly simple, but nuanced process. First you need to craft a minecart and rails. This is reported by experts of the "Hi-tech" section of the "Market Leader" publication for investors.

Simple single lane tracks.

The simplest type of railway. To build them, you need to install all the rails one after another, and then limit the ends of the tracks with opaque blocks.

You can accelerate the trolleys using a trolley with a stove, or make part of the path inclined so that the trolley accelerates when moving off the mountain. Unfortunately, both of these options are not very good: the speed of the trolley with the stove is even lower than that of the player, and it is quite difficult to keep the required slope of the tracks all the time.

Disadvantages: Difficulty overclocking the trolley.
Efficiency: minimum.

Simple two-lane tracks.

This is the second simplest type of railway. It is built in a completely similar way to single-lane tracks, but it will take at least twice as many rails to create a simple type of railroad. The ends of these tracks must be connected to each other, so that the trolley will travel in one direction along the tracks indefinitely. For this type of railway, a trolley with a stove is best suited - it can go until the fuel runs out.

Disadvantages: with each new activation, the trolley with the stove will go in the opposite direction to the one it went to last time. This presents certain difficulties (provided that the trolley with the stove will push other trolleys).

Looped paths.

They are built on the principle of single-lane paths, however, the ends of these paths must form a loop in such a way that the end of the loop is directed to the opposite end of the paths. However, when creating such paths, one should not forget about the "southeastern rule": the trolley tends to turn to the east or south. For acceleration on these tracks, a trolley with a stove is best suited.

Efficiency: average (one piece of coal is needed for one trip).

Disadvantages: Due to the "southeast rule", it can be difficult to create correct loops. Although, next to the arrow, you can install a lever that will force the trolley to turn in the desired direction.

Electric paths.

At the moment, this is the simplest of all types of tracks - any trolley can move along them endlessly, while not consuming fuel. However, such rails are quite expensive to build. You need simple rails, push rails and electric rails, as well as levers or red torches. The lever is the cheapest option, especially considering the fact that a lot of red dust will go on electric rails. First, just start making your way out of regular rails, inserting electric rails every 25 blocks. Electric rails give the minecart enough energy to run 64 blocks, but to keep the minecart from losing speed, they need to be placed every 25 blocks. If you want simple trolleys or trolleys with chests to move freely on such rails, you need to put electric rails every seven blocks. It should be borne in mind that climbing a hill is more difficult work, so more energy must be transferred to the trolley before lifting. For this, several electric rails can be installed in a row.

In order to activate the electric rails (and in the off state they will simply stop the trolley), you need to install one lever or a red torch next to them. Instead of them, pressure rails can be installed next to the electric rails (in such cases, they will be activated only when the trolley passes along them), but this will require the use of more resources.

Using the ability of electric rails to accelerate or stop the minecart, you can create quite convenient stops - as soon as the minecart arrives at a stop, it will stop, but when you press the button, it will go further.
Recall

Or make the path sloped so that the trolley can accelerate when driving down the mountain. Unfortunately, both options are not very good: the trolley with a stove has a slower speed than the player, and it is quite difficult to keep the necessary slope of the tracks all the time.

Efficiency: minimum.
Flaws: difficulties with trolley acceleration.

Simple two-lane paths

The second simplest type of railway. It is built similarly to single-lane tracks, but it will take at least 2 times more rail to create a simple type of railroad. The ends of the tracks must be connected to each other so that the trolley can endlessly travel along the tracks in one direction.

A trolley with a stove is best for this type of railroad - it will be able to move until it runs out of fuel.

Efficiency: coal).
Flaws: with each new activation, the trolley with the stove moves in the opposite direction to the one in which it drove last time. This creates some difficulties. (assuming that the trolley with the stove is pushing other trolleys).

Looped paths

They are built as single-lane paths, but the ends of these very paths should form a loop so that the end of the loop looks towards the opposite end of the paths. When creating such paths, do not forget about the "southeastern rule": the trolley always tends to turn either to the south or to the east.

For acceleration on such tracks, a trolley with a stove is best suited.

Efficiency: medium (takes one coal per trip).
Flaws: Due to the "southeast rule", it can be difficult to create correct loops. However, you can put a lever next to the arrow, which will force the trolley to turn in the desired direction.

Electric paths

At the moment, the simplest and fastest type of track - the trolley can move along them indefinitely, without fuel consumption. However, such rails are quite expensive to build.

Accelerated paths (Doesn't work with version beta 1.6 and later)

They are ordinary tracks, but the trolley is accelerated with the help of an accelerator. This kind of path was often used before the beta 1.5 update, which introduced electrical paths. Electric paths are more efficient, but the accelerator can still be used on initial stages games until the player has enough gold to build the latter.

Efficiency: >100%.
Flaws: The accelerator is a rather bulky design. The trolley may stop if something interferes with it. (like a mob on the tracks).

Weak accelerator

Since version 1.2.4, the possibility of building an accelerator has again appeared. It is based on a bug, if a player or a mob is in the trolley, then the trolley passing by receives a weak push.

Construction

1. We put a block near the railway.
2. We put the rail block, and then another solid block.
3. Put a trolley on the rail block and put a mob in it.

Efficiency: 100%

Flaws: Very little acceleration, easier to use Electric rails.

Small Accelerated Paths

They are built like this: every two blocks a block is placed and rails are placed on them, something like this turns out:

  • Path modifications

    Railway branches

Rails, under the influence of red dust or mechanisms, can change their direction. This can be used to create common railroad junctions as well as complex railroad control schemes.

When switching rails, the "southeast rule" applies to them.

    Dynamic lighting

With the help of pressure rails and red torches, it is possible to create dynamic path lighting. To do this, you need to install pressure rails and connect lamps to them, or red torches through an inverter (which is less effective).

    Construction features

    Trolleys

The trolleys can only be installed on rails (any), and only on the rails will they move freely, otherwise they will simply freeze until they are pushed. There are 7 types of minecarts in total:

The player and mobs can sit in them, they can be pushed or dispersed using electric rails or a mine cart with a stove.

Serves for the transportation of things.

Trolley pushing other trolleys. Electric rails have no effect on it.

A minecart that explodes when it hits activated activating rails, when exploded, does not destroy the rails and blocks on which they stood.

From version 1.5.0, rails can be placed on chests and other funnels if you sit down. The funnel mine cart will transfer items to the chest / funnel located under the rails.

Executes the command when driving along the activating rails.

This minecart is a mobile spawner, so it should be used to spawn on a specific path.

    Slides

When descending a hill, a conventional minecar is accelerated, but a minecar with a stove does not change speed.

To lift the cart uphill, you must give it enough energy. The kiln trolley can lift several other trolleys up a hill if it has time to accelerate horizontally. Electric rails can be installed on the uphill as needed.

    Diagonal paths

If the rails are positioned as in the picture on the right, the trolley, despite the seeming impossibility of a normal trip, will normally move in a straight line, without shaking. Although it will fluctuate between two opposite positions, the player will notice this only by changing the texture, this does not affect the mechanics, even the trolley with the stove will continue to drive normally. This increases the possibilities of railway communications to cover the territory, and also allows you to make more rounded turns, in which there is noticeably less shaking.

    Path damage

Water, lava and explosions destroy the rails. To prevent this from happening, you need to follow a few rules:

    • Isolate the rails from water and lava as much as possible.

If the rails run below the nearest water source, then be prepared for the fact that they can be flooded in the event of an attack by griefers, an explosion of creepers, or accidentally undermining the wall of a water tank. The water will simply wash away the rails, the lava will also burn them.

    • Beware of creepers.

Creepers can explode, demolishing not only the ground, but also the rails near the explosion. Therefore, it is not recommended to ride at night and in the morning on rails that are not fenced off or impassable blocks. The radius of destruction of the rail is 1 cell more than the radius of the explosion.

    • Do not set up minefields next to the rails.
    • Beware of ghasts.

If you decide to build rails in hell, then beware of ghasts. They can blow your way.

In order to timely determine the condition of the tracks (whether they are intact or destroyed), you can lay along them a path of red dust with repeaters and feed it at the beginning with a red torch. If the wire is touched by an explosion, it will "go out".

    Other

In the game, it is impossible to disperse several trolleys on the same tracks at once (only if they are not pushed by a trolley with a stove)- on turns, they hit each other and the trolley in front transmits to the one behind it an impulse that makes it move in the opposite direction.

    Railway station

Very often it becomes necessary to equip railways with stations so that you can easily move between a house, a mine, a pond, a forest, a farm without transfers. In general, stations are a very useful thing. The station must be able to take a minecarriage and send it in any direction (forward or backward) without destroying it. There are different variants of stations, but the simplest and most functional ones are presented below.

When building a station, you first need to lay the rails, demolish the curved rail and put it back on. After that, the wire must be put to it from the button opposite to the side of the curvature of the rail (as in the picture). Do not forget to put the button rail on the same side, otherwise the minecars will skip this station. And don't forget to remove minecarts from the track after use, or make a bus station like this:

    Automatic station

Sooner or later, you will get tired of taking minecarts off the rails, or you may have an emergency when you forgot to remove the minecart. In this case, you should build a station with two \ three \ four (1 track for each trolley) final tracks. The simplest example: you and a friend decided to build a railroad in order to exchange resources. But what if, when you already have one minecart, your friend sends another one? Then she will not be able to park normally, or maybe drive back.

Red dust straight to the arrow. Do not forget to set the repeater to the maximum delay, otherwise the trolley will not have time to enter adjacent tracks (the arrow will switch right in front of it). If you did everything as in the screenshot (the fence and lighting are optional: the author was just very disturbed by mobs), any trolley that entered a busy parking lot will poke in the pockets until the first free slot (unfortunately, the trolley standing on the pressure rails needs to be kicked, which negates all the automation However, the trolleys will go "directly" without going into every pocket). The theoretical capacity of such a station is unlimited: it is enough to remake additional slots like the right one in the screenshot.

Good afternoon, guests and users of our portal, the sailor is with you and today we will talk about " railway minecraft".

Trolleys and rails

To make a railroad, you need to craft a minecart and preferably as many rails as possible. First, let's make a minecart. Open the workbench and put one iron ingot in the fourth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth slots. The rails are made in this way: we put a wooden stick in the center, and in all slots, except for the second and eighth, we throw iron ingots.

If you want to make a whole train that will go by itself, then you need several trolleys and one with a stove. We put them in a row. We put the first one with a stove. We put corners in it, or a tree and a woole, our train is ready.

Like many other maps, there are railroad maps on the Internet. You just download it and install it. After that, it will appear among your other cards. Just go to it and enjoy the game.

I would also like to tell you about the gold rails. They give acceleration to our wagons. They are activated by a red torch, which should be placed to the right, or to the left of the rails themselves. They are made in the same way as iron ones, only instead of it we put gold bars.

One of the ways to get around in Minecraft is to ride a minecart along the railroads. But also valuable cargo can be transported on them. To create railways, you need rails and minecarts. You can see how to make minecarts below, and we will look at how to make rails in more detail.

Types of trolleys

  • An ordinary minecar.
  • Trolley with engine.

  • Trolley with dynamite.

  • Trolley with a funnel.

Rail types

There are 4 types of rails in Minecraft:

  • ordinary;
  • energy rails;
  • push;
  • activating.

Conventional rails

The easiest to create, the most frequent to use.

At the very beginning of the train, a trolley with an engine is required, otherwise it will not budge.

To create regular rails you will need:

  • One stick (can be made from any kind of wood).
  • 6 iron ingots (to get iron ingot, it is necessary to smelt iron ore in a furnace).

Energy rails

You need gold to create, which is not so cheap. But you don't need a lot of them, energy rails are used for acceleration. They can be turned off and on, and in order for them to work, you need to put a red torch / redstone block next to them, or an activated lever.

It is also a good option to put rails with a pressure plate in front of the energy rails.

We need:

  • One stick.
  • One redstone.
  • 6 gold ingots (to get a gold ingot, you need to smelt gold ore in a furnace).

Pressure rails

Used to turn on energy rails, and can only be activated by minecart.

To create we need:

  • 1 stick.
  • 1 stone pressure plate.
  • 6 iron ingots.

Activating rails

Does not affect minecarts speed. A TNT minecart traveling on activated rails will explode after a few seconds, and a player / animal minecart will drop passengers.

They need to be activated. They are activated in the same way as energy rails.

For crafting you will need:

  • 2 sticks.
  • 1 red torch.
  • 6 iron ingots.

Types of railways

We know what rails are and how to make them, but what next? How to make a railroad?

There are many types of roads, but we will consider only three main ones.

  • Single-lane. It is built in one lane, the minimum consumption of resources. Only rails and two blocks are required, the efficiency is the smallest of all types of railway.

It is necessary to lay a straight line from the rails, and put blocks at the ends.

  • Two-way. Much more resources are required than for single-sideband, but the efficiency is higher.

It is built according to the same principle, but the two-lane road is closed, in contrast to the single-lane road.

  • Looped. It is similar to a single-lane railway, but at the ends, not blocks, but loops. If you make the loops larger, then you can make stops.

You can see how it is built in the image.

Now you know how to make rails in Minecraft, what railways and minecarts are. Thanks for reading the article!
