Nenets Autonomous Okrug is a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, which is part of the Arkhangelsk Region of the North-West Federal District. This is the least populated subject of the Russian Federation; 43 thousand people live on an area of ​​177 thousand km². The Nenets Autonomous Okrug is located in the northwestern part of the Russian Federation and is part of the Northwestern Federal District of the same name.
