Biography Tombstones

Lonnie Lincoln was born an albino, and therefore was the object of ridicule at school. However, one of the students did not taunt him, and it was Joe "Robbie" Robertson, future correspondent for the Daily Bugle. Because of this, Lonnie became strangely loyal to his "friend", but that did not stop the intimidation of Robertson, who planned to write an article for the school newspaper, where Lonnie was exposed as a blackmailer. After graduating from high school, Lonnie and Robbie broke up. Lonnie, thanks to his intimidating image and fighting skills gained in numerous street battles, became known on the streets as the Tombstone. During this time, Robertson became a reporter for a local newspaper.

A few years after they parted ways, Robertson went to meet with the informant, and saw how he was killed by Lincoln. Robertson testified against Tombstone and he was arrested but later escaped from prison. In their next meeting, Tombstone ambushed Robertson at the Osborne Chemical Plant, but the trap was discovered by Spider-Man. During the incident, Robertson fired a shot at Tombstone, sending him into a room with the experimental chemical Dioxin-3, which gave Lonnie superhuman abilities.

Tombstone worked with Kingpin and Hammerhead, and was also a member of the Sinister Dozen.

Powers and abilities

Initially, Tombstone did not possess superhuman abilities, but received them artificially as a result of a mutagenic reaction to an experimental gas that was absorbed into his blood. His physical strength increased to superhuman levels. The body of the Tombstone is highly resistant to injury and is able to withstand extreme temperatures, high impact loads, large caliber bullets and toxic gases. His reflexes, speed, and stamina are also enhanced to superhuman.

In addition, Lonnie is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant with many years of experience in street fighting, and even before gaining superpowers, he was able to easily kill a person with his bare hands. Combining his street fighting prowess with acquired superhuman powers, he created a unique fighting style. He also handles weapons professionally and has good connections in the underworld.

As an albino, he is sensitive to sunlight due to a natural melanin deficiency.

Like his sibling, the Grandmaster is a surviving alien race that appeared shortly after the Big Bang. Fighting boredom, he long years spent in search of new games and entertainment. The Grandmaster discovered Earth-712, on which "" lived, and created duplicates of the members of this group to confront them with. Later, he tried to grow new pawns on our planet for his games, but abandoned this plan, losing a bet to Daredevil.

A GRANDMASTER CANNOT GET AGE, SICK, OR HURT. HE CAN FLY, TRAVEL THROUGH TIME AND SPACE, AND ALSO CONTROL MATTER. ALSO, THE GRANDMASTER HAS ENCYCLOPEDIC KNOWLEDGE OF GAMES AND ALL POSSIBLE ENTERTAINMENT IN THE UNIVERSE.

And one day the Grandmaster made a deal with, and as a result, everyone turned out to be immortal. Together with them, he tried to kill, but this plan was thwarted. The Grandmaster then tried to confront the team with the Forwarding Gang, but to no avail.

The Collector ("Marvel") is a character who, thanks to immortality, has existed for about five billion years. He is the Elder of the universe and has lived aloof since his wife died. Once another Elder, the Grandmaster, helped him return his spouse, but she did not take root, so she died again. As a result, the Collector ("Marvel", photo below) resigned himself to his loneliness and began to look for a suitable occupation. And he found it. He liked collecting rare things, as well as interesting inhabitants of the universe. And there were reasons for this.

The fact is that Tanelir Tivan had a vision that someday the universe will disappear. Even the elders will disappear, and the space villain Thanos will be to blame. Hence his hobby. True, collecting rare life forms often brought him trouble, because many did not want to become his exhibits at all.

Hunt for the Avengers

Over time, the place on the huge ship ran out, and Tevan "The Collector" ("Marvel") began to look for other storage facilities for his hobby. He had to buy a planet, then another, and soon rare specimens collected from the surfaces of hundreds of different planets were stored in his warehouses.

When he reached Earth, his attention was drawn to the Avengers, a team of powerful superheroes. Inspired by their exploits, he immediately wanted to add them to his collection. But he managed to capture only a few of them, and then not for long.

For example, he caught Wasp, Beetle, and some other Avengers. He was going to use them to capture the Hulk. But that was a bad idea. As a result, the green mutant escaped, freeing many other prisoners.

Tivana Zoo

Be that as it may, contact with earthlings still provided the Collector with certain opportunities. He managed to build a huge underground zoo in Canada. There were exhibits such as the alien Fin Fang Foom, the Droom monster, the winged dragon Grogg, the sentient tree Groot, and other creatures. He loved all these unique creatures. This is probably why he was so strongly drawn to the Earth. The only problem is that he often left his zoo unattended.

One day, his underground vault was discovered by a creature from the underworld - the Mole Man. He released all the monsters so that they rise to the surface and make a mess there, because the Mole has long felt hatred for all of humanity. Fortunately, the half-blind man's plan was not carried out, as the Hulk, Giant Man (Hank Pym) and the Fantastic Four quickly appeased the monsters.

Brothers team

As time went on, Tyvan's craving for earthly inhabitants only grew. In desperation, the Collector ("Marvel") decides on a terrible act - to destroy the planet in order to calmly take everything he needs. To do this, he decided to use the "Brothers" - a deadly team created by an alien race from bacteria. After all, there is nowhere easier - to arrange for the powerful aliens to escape, so that they do all the dirty work.

The Brothers attacked Earth, where they were met by the Avengers. But after prolonged and large-scale battles, the bacteria realized that they had been manipulated all this time. Therefore, they turn against Tyvan and defeat him.

Trap for Thor

Once upon a time, serious weather changes began to occur on Earth. And the thing is that the living planet Ego, which was created by a certain Stranger, flew past. Wanting to find out what was the matter, Thor went to the Elder, but the Collector ("Marvel") received him with hostility, and a small battle ensued between them. Tivan had to stop the fight because he was worried about his collections. True, he did not drive away the god of thunder, but showed him his exhibits, among which was Alter Ego - the twin of the planet Ego, also created by the Stranger for the purpose of experiment.

Thor did not like that Tanelir Tivan was keeping such a powerful creature locked up. He vows to free the prisoner, but the Collector ("Marvel") has already figured out his plan and with the help of an elemental named Zephyr lured Thor into a trap. He is sent to a special storage designed for particularly intractable specimens. It just turned out that Zephyr had long known the Asgardian God, so she helped him escape, and he freed Alter Ego. Having learned about the betrayal of the assistant, Tevan is going to send her to the Black Hole, but she manages to hide.

Capabilities

Like any Elder of the universe, the Collector has certain abilities:

  • Immortality. An old deal with Death doomed Tanelir to eternal life. He does not get sick, his body cannot be injured, he can even restore lost limbs. Unless, of course, you spray it into atoms, as a cyborg named Korvac once did.
  • The gift of foresight. Yes, he can see the future. This is how he was able to foresee the threat in the person of the mutant Thanos.
  • Increased characteristics. The Collector ("Marvel") has an incredible supply of strength, stamina and agility. But of course, after all, he is the Elder of the universe.
  • The use of space energy. This ability helps him change his height and appearance, as well as perform energy attacks.
  • Increased intelligence. Per long life The collector received great amount knowledge, therefore, is a specialist in many areas.
  • Combat technology. Tanelir has many offensive items at his disposal: lasers, guns, bombs, combat suits, potions and all kinds of weapons. How else can he protect his favorite collections?

The Collector (Marvel): The Movie

The Collector appears in Thor 2: The Kingdom of Darkness, where he is portrayed by Lady Sif there, asking him to take Ether from Asgard so that it is not kept together by Tisseract.

And in the fantastic action movie Guardians of the Galaxy, Tanelir Tivan first gets the Infinity Stone, but then loses one of his museums.

Grandmaster (Grandmaster) his real name En Dwi Gast- is a fictional character who appears in the universe. The character first appeared in a comic titled Avengers# 69 (October 1969), and was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Sal Baskema. He is one of the Elders of the Universe.

Biography

Although his exact origin is unknown, the Grandmaster is one of the most ancient creatures in the universe. He is also one of the first intelligent species to evolve after the Big Bang. He once possessed a Mind Gem, one of the six Infinity Gems, but lost it. He is a space player and prefers a game in which two teams fight against each other. He used Squadron Sinister, Daredevil, Defenders, East and West Coast Avengers, Malibu Comics 'Ultrapower, and DC Comics' Justice League of America.

In their first appearance, the Grandmaster faced off against Kang the Conqueror, using the Avengers and Sinister Squadron as their pawns. After Kang's champions, the Avengers, defeated the Sinister Squadron, the Grandmaster summoned the heroes of World War II, the Invaders. If Kang wins, then the Grandmaster will grant him power over life or death for a while. If Kang loses then the Grandmaster will destroy the Earth. Fortunately, the champions of Kang were victorious.

Later, back in the 20th century, the Grandmaster used the Daredevil and the Defenders as his pawns against the sentient robot Prime Mover, which was created by Doctor Doom. Having won, the Grandmaster takes control of the Earth, but abandoned it after losing a bet to Daredevil.

Soon, the Grandmaster decided to challenge Death. If the Grandmaster wins, the Collector will be revived, but if he loses, he will die too. The grandmaster also promised that if he wins then, he will never again use Earth's heroes as his pawns again. The Grandmaster's team won, but Death said that in order for the Collector to come back to life, in return, someone else's life must be sacrificed. Death suggested that he use the lives of some of the heroes, but the Grandmaster decided not to break his promise and therefore, he sacrificed his life to resurrect the Collector.

The Grandmaster returned from his grave to punish the East and West Coast of the Avengers during one of his annual games, he believed that since he returned dead, he was free from his earlier promise to "leave Earth's heroes alone." Then, he used the Avengers team again in the game against Death. This time the team was opposed by the Legion of the Unliving. This time, the Grandmaster won immortality for himself and all the other Elders.

Later, the Elders of the Universe conspired to kill, using the Infinity Stones against him. This plan did not fail, with the result that the Grandmaster was absorbed by Galactus as punishment. But since he cannot die, he and the other Elders survived inside Galactus, which nearly killed him. Eventually, the Elders were freed by the Master Order and Lord Chaos, after which they helped Galactus defeat the In-Betweener.

After that, the Grandmaster took possession of the Stone of Mind, which was with him until the moment when the Mad Titan arrived. By this time, Thanos had five Infinity Stones, besides the Grandmaster's stone, who did not intend to lose it. Gast was aware of the arrival of the powerful Thanos and was already ready to fight him in the game. He fought Thanos in a game like virtual reality, in which superior tactical knowledge and vast experience in battles gave Thanos a win-win advantage. But the Grandmaster did something that he rarely does, he decided to cheat. But he could not even imagine that Thanos had already played dishonestly in advance. He thought he was playing against Thanos, but in reality the Grandmaster was not playing with the real Thanos, but only a copy created thanks to the power of the Infinity Stones he had. Eventually, Thanos took possession of the Mind Stone and left the Grandmaster trapped in his own game.

Capabilities

Like all the other Elders, the Grandmaster is one of the first sentient beings in the universe and possesses various superhuman abilities. He is one of the most powerful Elders in the universe.

The Grandmaster has been described as having the ability to manipulate the "primordial power", the radiation that was left over from the Big Bang. However, his strength is significantly lower than that of Galactus and The Broker. The Grandmaster in some cases uses very advanced technology to increase his strength and perform various actions that were previously beyond his reach. The Grandmaster is known to have access to technologies that are far beyond human comprehension.

The Grandmaster possesses a cosmic vitality that makes him practically immortal, and also provides him with immunity to aging, disease, poisons, in addition, he is immune to ordinary injuries as he has regeneration from almost any damage. He can survive and travel in space, he does not need food, water and air. He can use his cosmic power for various effects, for example, fly, create energy explosions, teleport through space and time or between parallel dimensions, change his size, control time and others.
