Who to defeat raid bosses in Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go Major Update: Co-op & Raids! New Arena features

A team adventure in which trainers battle incredibly powerful Pokémon. A few hours before the start of the raid, a raid egg appears in a random gim. When the timer expires, it hatches out. An hour is given to defeat him, during which you can take unlimited quantity attempted attacks. Each attempt cannot exceed 170-300 seconds (depending on the difficulty of the boss). The player is rewarded for the victory unique items and the ability to catch a smaller copy of the boss.
To participate in the raid, you need a special item - it is obtained free of charge once a day from scrolling any gyms or bought in the store. You cannot have more than 1 raid pass of the same type at the same time.

There are 5 levels of raid difficulty. 1-2 levels are obtained from a pink egg, 3-4 from yellow, 5 levels from blue. So far, only 1-4 levels of raids are available.

Raid Tier - raid level

Raid Boss - Raid Boss

Boss CP - Raid boss CP

100% CP - the maximum CP of the raid boss to catch after defeating him

TOP DNS Coumters - who is better to defeat the raid boss

Level 1 Raids

Almost anyone can do it on their own

Level 2 Raids

1 average player can handle it. The most interesting is the Mac.

Level 3 Raids

Only a very strong player can cope alone. Preferably 2-3 people. The most interesting is Machamp.

Level 4 Raids

4 strong players will defeat any boss of 4 difficulty levels. Regular players are advised to gather in groups of at least 6 people. The most interesting are Lapras, Snorlax and Tyranitar.

Can turn into 1 candy of any Pokémon. It is optimal to save up before entering legendaries, because there are no other ways to get a lot of sweets. It can also be used to get Blissy's candies or other very rare but powerful Pokémon.

("caviar", "golden raspberry") - an increased chance of catching a Pokemon (compared to its red version) or a full restoration of the Pokemon's motivation in the Gym. Optimal use - catching rare and prize Pokémon, older forms. So far, the full motivation recovery function is relatively useless.

Charged TM- Replaces "ult" with any other "ult" that the Pokémon may have. It cannot give a "legacy" attack (a legacy attack is an attack that a Pokemon could receive earlier when evolving or capturing, but now it cannot). Cannot give the attack that the Pokémon already had.

Fast TM- Changes the fast attack to any other that the Pokémon may have. Cannot give Legacy an attack. Can't give the attack that the Pokémon already had.

Optimal use of TM is to change attacks from the best software or which, during evolution, did not receive optimal attacks. You can get a maximum of 4 TM in one battle.

Also, a certain number of revives are given for the battle.

How do I get more items? The higher the level of the raid, the greater the final reward. So it is recommended to only spend raid passes on level 4 raids. There are no exact ranges, but the number of useful items for completing a level 4 raid is on average 4 times more than for completing a level 1 raid.

After defeating the boss, the game calculates the number of premium balls that will be allocated to you to capture the prize Pokémon. Premium balls have a catch bonus roughly between regular Pokeball and Greatball. While catching the Prize Pokémon, you cannot use other balls. As soon as the premium balls run out, the Pokémon will flee. If you catch a Pokémon before the Premium Balls run out, the surplus will disappear.

Defeat Boss- 5 balls are always awarded for defeating the boss. If you see this window, then you have already received your 5 balls.

Damage- the more damage you dealt, the more balls you get. This is how the most useful trainer can be calculated.

Gym Control- members of the team that controlled the gim at the time the egg appeared in the gim receive 2 balls.

Contribution by Team- members of the team that dealt the most total damage in total receive an additional 3 balls.

Raid passes

There are free and paid ones. Free can be obtained by scrolling any hym. You can get exactly 1 per day and only if there is no other raid pass. Thus, you can use 2 free raid passes in 1 day: first spend yesterday's raid pass, and then spin the Gym and get today's one. A raid pass gives access to the entire raid for its entire duration. Error? Lost? Did you come out on your own? Until the raid timer expires, you do not need to spend a new raid pass. If you were unable to defeat the boss, the raid pass will not be refunded. A new raid pass is given after 23:00.

There are also legendary raid passes. They will be issued to the most active fighters and they will be needed to battle legendary Pokémon.

You can lose all your Pokémon in battle, leave the battle, recruit a new team and return to battle with it.

If the game crashed at the end of the battle, but before the prize Pokemon is caught, return to the Gym, you will be given to catch it.

Raids operate from 9 am to 11 pm local time. After 21:00 new raids do not appear. Try not to delay your raids late in the evening.

Select "raid" days. It is optimal to raid every 2 days. You will have one free raid pass from the previous day, one raid pass for that day, and 100 coins to buy a premium pass from gims in 2 days. So you can consistently raid without going into a negative, and free up some days for something else.

If you repainted the Gym already with a raid egg in it, then after defeating the boss, additional balls for controlling the Gym will not be given to you.

The slightest deviation from the server time will cause an error at the start of the raid. Often the problem is solved by simply turning off and on the "Time to network" slider, but sometimes this is not enough. In such cases, this will help you. Important! Route is only needed for automatic time correction every N minutes. It is not needed for a one-time adjustment!

While you are waiting for the start of the raid, you can see the detailed statistics of the players who will participate in the raid with you.

Prize Pokémon have different IVs and different attacks for all raid participants, regardless of level / faction, etc. trainers. It is understood that there may be unlikely exceptions.

You can enter the raid in the last seconds and still go through it. The raid is automatically extended (only for you!) For the time spent in the lobby (120 seconds) and for the duration of the battle itself (60-170 seconds)

11/22/2017: article updated - added requirements for receiving an invitation to the EX raid

Exclusive Raids (Ex Raids)- this is one of the types in which you can participate only with an invitation to the raid. During such a raid, you can fight with ultra-rare Pokémon, such as.

To participate in an exclusive raid (EX raid) you will need an invitation () which will be issued to you if you are in recent times("in the last few weeks") participated in a regular raid in a specific hym.

Exclusive Raid Invitation

Niantic voiced at this moment There are 2 main requirements that will increase your chances of being invited to an EX raid:

  • Gym icon- Trainers with a higher level Gym badge are more likely to receive an invitation to an EX raid in that Gym
  • Champion Badge- the badge is given for completed raid battles in gyms. The more you have completed raid battles, the greater the chance of getting an invitation to the Ex raid.

EX Raid Pass
EX Raid Eggs

As with regular raids, the raid boss egg will be present on the gyme before the raid invites are sent. It is not yet clear which exclusive raid bosses will be available - only Mewtwo has been confirmed.

Niantic has officially stated the following:

Mewtwo is the first Pokémon Trainers will be able to face in Exclusive Raid Battles, but other powerful Pokémon may also start hatching from Exclusive Raid Eggs over the next few weeks.

EX Raid Rewards

For winning an exclusive raid, you will be able to receive the same rewards as for winning in a regular raid and in about the same amount. However, players report that the player receives at least 50 to capture Mewtwo.

The article will be updated as new information becomes available.

The rumors were confirmed! Multiplayer features will be added. As it became known from the media, Niantic announced the launch of cooperative Raids and Boss Battles for a mobile application.

This is how raids work in Pokémon GO

»Trainers meet in specific arenas to battle fearsome, powerful Pokémon known as Raid Bosses. Raid Battles are in-game events that start at a specific time in the Arenas. "According to the official announcement.

As soon as the Raid Event starts, players can connect to the affected Arena and gather in a group (party) of up to 20 players to go to the Boss. Whoever defeats the creepy monster will be very well rewarded: Rare candy, Golden raspberries and two types of Training Techniques - schnelle und aufgeladene. Players will even get a chance to catch a defeated Boss Pokémon.

In addition, it will be possible to create private groups to play, for example, with your friends, for this you simply create a password for the party and voila.

But there is still a catch. Long live donut! To take part in the battle, the player needs a Raid Pass, which of course will be available once a day. But you can also purchase Premium Raid Passes in the store. Who would doubt that?

The exact release date of the update is not yet known. In addition, Niantic wants to first practice on cats, so to speak, to conduct a beta test among high-level players, and only then open the feature for the rest.

New Arena features

Arenas were also significantly revised, which were supposed to be disabled offline. Quite a small feature: Photodiscs of ships of the line, similar to PokéStops, are coming soon. In addition, all arena mechanics will be reworked:

“Instead of increasing the prestige of the arena through training, there will be six permanent seats that can be occupied by the supervising team. Each Pokémon used must be unique, for example, only one Heuteria can defend the arena. In addition, Teams will fight the Pokémon in the order in which they were placed in the arena, ”according to the official Pokémon GO blog.

The used Pokémon now has a motivation indicator. If a monster has been in the arena for too long, or if he loses too often, he loses motivation, which reduces her points (WP). However, with berries, an unmotivated animal can be captured again.

Last but not least, rental medals can now be earned by interacting with competition venues. Let's say Arena Orders remind you of your adventures in Pokémon GO and show you how much you've contributed to your team's success in the arena.

The medal level of your arena can be increased by fighting under berry buffs and by rotating arena photo disks. If the level of your Arena medal increases, you can receive rare items as a bonus when you spin the photo disc, as well as higher rewards for interacting with arenas.

Personally, we have been mastering Pokemon Go Raid so far with varying success. The topic is certainly interesting. Although the bosses, of course, are sometimes frustrating. True, as a rule, in purely sports terms.

We remind you that in its current form, the Pokemon Go Raid system consists of 5 levels (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 and Tier 5), on each of which the player will face their own bosses. The higher the level of the raid, the stronger the boss. By the way, in our area it is customary to divide them into 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-star (the number of stars corresponds to the level of the monster).

5-star allegedly already exist, although no one has ever climbed so high in Pokemon Go Raid. Moreover, 5-star bosses are exactly the very Legendary Pokémon that the public has been eager to get for a year now, and which Niantic has been carefully hiding from everyone.

Raid bosses differ from ordinary (and unusual) Pokemon in Gims primarily in strength, and at levels above the third, they are simply STRENGTHS. And if at first you can normally cope with them on your own, then the further you go, the more helpers and with stronger Pokemon you will need. Agree, to dump yourself, for example, Tyranitar with CP 34707 is pure fantasy.

Moreover, the raid battle is strictly limited to 3 minutes, during which you can only attack, you simply do not have time to mans, beautifully avoiding enemy attacks.

In this post, we will not talk about the rewards and other goodies that you are entitled to for each victory over the raid boss. And we will tell you about which bosses sit at which levels, what their names are, how many CP each can have maximum (Boss CP), how difficult it is to catch everyone (Catch CP) and, most importantly, who is better to attack and by whom (vulnerability) ...

We have compiled the list taking into account the "color differentiation of eggs", because knowing the color of the egg, you automatically imagine which raid boss can hatch out of it, and you get the opportunity to prepare for a meeting with him properly (or ignore it altogether).

So, the bosses in Pokemon Go Raid:
