Skim Read Read Grab

My daughter is four years old and loves board games. The various lotto, dominoes and walkers were all boring, I was looking for something more interesting. They recommended “Read and Grab” (produced by “Banda Umnikov”). The price, of course, shocked me... But after rummaging around on the Internet, I found it cheaper and decided to buy it anyway. I have never regretted it!

The first thing that pleased me was the quality of the packaging itself (box). Because there are several games that have to be put into a package, because... The box immediately fell apart - it is very inconvenient to store it in this form. And here the box is excellent, it opens easily even for a child.

Inside the box are cardboard sheets with chips.

The quality is also excellent. Thick cardboard, no dents. You have to squeeze the chips out of the sheets yourself. My daughter did it with pleasure.

The end result was two piles of chips. Some have an orange "shirt", others have a blue one.

There are quite detailed instructions, which describes three options for how you can play. For convenience, not just words (I’ve already come across such instructions where without half a liter you won’t understand how to play), but also pictures - everything is extremely clear.

Read it. We started from the simplest level. We are looking for any of the pictures that are on your chip among all the ones laid out. You found it, took it for yourself, and you look again, this time focusing on a new feature. Everything is clear even to a child.

Things went slowly at first, of course. But my daughter, by the way, got to the point faster than anyone else. In the end, I beat my grandmother and grandfather (without giving away). She took special pleasure in counting (she knows how to) the number of chips she won.

The second time the game was more fun. There was excitement. All three got involved in the game and tried to beat each other.

For some time, the game became our favorite and our daughter literally terrorized us, forcing us to play it.

A month later, we decided to move to the second level - this is when you hold a chip in your hands with its face up, on which there are no longer pictures, but a word written, and you need to look for a picture that this word means (for example, it says “house” - you look for a chip with house, you grab it, turn it over, and it says, for example, “whale” - you look for a chip with a whale in the general pile, etc.). As I said above, the chips are of two colors - blue and orange. It's not just like that. The orange words are simple, consisting of one syllable (house, whale, cat, dog, ball, etc.), the blue words are more complex, consisting of several syllables (guitar, pineapple, telephone, etc.). Therefore, the second level of the game can also be divided into two levels - beginner and advanced. If a child has just learned/is learning to read, then blue chips can be temporarily removed from circulation and only orange chips can be played. As reading becomes more or less fluent, the child will learn to put several syllables into words, and blue chips can be taken out of the bins. Very comfortably!

Since my back-eater was already reading well by the age of four and a half, we moved on to the third level of complexity. When the chips are face down in a common pile. And you look at the pictures in your hand and try to quickly find a chip with with the right word. And the game began to sparkle with new colors again!

In general, for almost a year now, our whole family has been happily playing “Read and Grab” and we haven’t gotten tired of it. My daughter chooses which level we will play based on her mood, because... All three are available to us now. And, I must admit, the game is very exciting! At first the grandmother gave in to her granddaughter, but very soon she gave up because... There was no such need; on the contrary, I really wanted to collect the most chips. Not always and I manage to win

Just knowing the letters does not mean being able to read! In “Read-Grab,” children will quickly and happily learn to put letters together into words: whoever reads faster collects more. The game is designed in such a way that the gameplay automatically stimulates children to read and increase their reading speed.

To start the game, just open the box, lay out the chips and try to collect the most upside-down pictures. Children enjoy playing, looking at colorful pictures and winning tokens. It’s convenient to take the game with you on the road, on vacation or on a visit – it will delight all participants anywhere!

The game set contains 96 tokens. On one side of the chip there are three bright pictures, on the other there is a word written. Chips are divided into two colors gaming kits: in the first, orange, the words are shorter, in blue - longer. There are three variants of the rules: the simplest one does not require reading - players race to find identical pictures, developing attention and concentration. In the middle version, you need to read the word and find a chip with a corresponding picture on the playing field. In the very complex version There are words on the field, among which you need to grab the one that corresponds to one of the pictures on the player’s chip.

The game Read and Grab, they say, trains fluent reading. In fact, it teaches a lot of things, and most importantly, it is simple and very fun, both for children of any age and gender, and for their parents. In the rules you will find several levels of difficulty, which you can then further complicate yourself. To play, you need a stable and fairly spacious horizontal surface (a table, for example, a floor, or something original) and a good mood.

Come on, take any mood, it will improve in the game

If you are reading this description, then you and people like you will be able to play the difficult or even the most difficult version. That is, you will dump orange tokens on the table with the words facing up (on one side of the tokens there are pictures, on the other - words), take a token for yourself, turn it over with the picture up and begin to quickly, quickly look for tokens with the names of objects on your tokens. Found, turn over, look for one of the following three words (usually the number of items on the token).

Oh yes, about the blue tokens

These are the same words with pictures, only longer. They complicate any version of the game, even for the little ones. And they play with objects, since they are 4 years old and can hardly read. They take a token for themselves and quickly look for another one with a repeating item.

Those who are older and can or are learning to read can play the medium difficulty version. In it, everyone takes a token. The rest of the tokens are scattered on the table with their pictures facing up. Synchronously they turn their words upside down and begin to look in the pile for tokens that have a written item on them.

How to win?

Collect the most tokens by the time there are 5 draws on the table. You will read there, there are also all sorts of bonuses and penalties.

Grab the box, there's something inside!

  • 96 double-sided tokens in two colors,
  • Nice short rules with a bunch of varieties of games by age.

The board game Gang of Smarties “Read-Grab” (UM066) is energetic and fun in terms of reading. With this game, beginning students will easily learn to understand letters and begin to form words. Whoever reads better collects faster. The game automatically stimulates reading and increases the speed of pronunciation of words.

Easy to learn

Getting started gameplay, you just need to open the box, lay out the chips and try to collect as many cards as possible. Preschoolers love to play with this set, look at the bright cartoon characters, and win tokens. Convenient for traveling far from home, you can take it with you when visiting. Having such a “smart” toy will always delight children. This is an educational type of game, which includes:

  • double-sided chips with pictures and words - 96 pieces;
  • tokens;
  • rules of the game.

Can be used by up to five players simultaneously. The game improves hand motor skills, children's reaction speed, teaches them to compare words with images, and think logically. The set is small in size and folds up conveniently. Designed for children from two to five years old.

In our marketplace you can buy the board game Read-Grab in Moscow with a cashback of 222 bonus rubles. Delivery of the board game Gang of Smarties Read-Grab UM066 to your home takes on average 1 day, or you can pick it up at any of the ordering points on the website.

Mama.dimana We have a small date - Diman is one and a half years old ☺. And on this occasion, of course, gifts! I will slowly show them, and I’ll start with this game for growth, which we have already started playing - this is the “Read-Grab” game from @bandaumnikov. . I'm just in awe of these round chips, of which there are already 96 pieces 😍; They are divided into 2 groups - with short and long words. The cardboard is very dense, and if you don’t try to eat it, then the game is long years🙃. . There are several variants of the game, in the very first one you don’t need to be able to read (don’t be afraid of the name of the game, it’s suitable for kids too 😊). You need to find identical pictures. This option is just ours. . The second method involves reading a word and searching for a suitable chip with a picture. But mom can read it too? 🙃 I say: “Take the penguin chip” (this is our favorite character 🐧), and my son takes it with pleasure. . And, of course, reading games! We don’t care about them yet, even though this is the main purpose of the game), but older children will appreciate them anyway ☺. This is not a boring test of reading speed, like at school (although I sometimes liked that too 😄), but a real game! 😻 . Did you like to read as a child? 📚 At what age will you teach children this? I'm not in a hurry, I'm just thrifty))) 😆

Melnirina_ Part 2 Our summer activities 💕 bookmark so as not to lose 😉 *Today is about reading books* . I have already written about the book “Speed Reading”. Look at the tag #melnirina_tips This book helped us a lot and we will not stop there. . 📚 Game “Read-grab” This is straight main game this year we have 👍🏼. Game 4+ and 7+ (universal thing) The game has several levels. For older children, fluent reading is practiced; for younger children, reading and orientation skills in pictures and letters are practiced. (rules of the game in the comments👇🏼) . 📚 Reading diary 📓 The best motivator for reading is setting and achieving goals to read as much as possible. 🗣 And a few more words about summer reading lists 🤫 Just my opinion, I think we won’t read the entire list, and we won’t have time. I have a Reader (audio reader, bought it at Litres) So we’ll take it with us on vacation 🎧, Vova will listen to it on the road and in the evenings before bed. 👩🏻 If you don’t know #what to read to a child exactly your age, look I have posts under the tag #melnirina_tips. 👇🏼 Books we plan to read in the summer: 1. Going to the board... “Vasilkin! School stories of Dima Vasilkin, student 3 “A” 👦🏻 2. History of Flags for children (edition 🔥, a lot of pictures, not a lot of test, but it’s educational) 3. Treasure hunters 📖 4. Summer compulsory reading list (school) 5. Any other books to suit your mood ☺️

Barokedrik On this winter sunny ☀️ frosty ❄️ I want to tell you about Board game“Read-Grab” from the “Gang of Smart Guys” A dynamic speed reading game. Minimum effort to learn the rules and maximum fun from the game! 🤪 I’m not sure that it can be used to teach reading, but it is very suitable for reading training. 🧐 The youngest (almost 4 years old) looks for matches in pictures, the older one (5 years old) reads chips and looks for images. Several difficulty options (different word lengths, searching by pictures or reading words). Little big secret 💡 🐠.. on my shop the game costs two ✌️! Times cheaper than the labyrinth in the store

Koroleva_anastasija_ Learning while playing is always fun 😊! . I don't like games with boring rules🙃. And Marie is not happy with such games. The game "Read and grab" is a simple and quick game. It is suitable for everyone: children who do not yet know how to read, and those who have just started learning to read, as well as children and adults improving their speed reading skills. From 4 years to 7+ - different levels of difficulty. The game keeps the child in good shape - perception of pictures, speed of thinking, reading, perseverance✅. We really like her - #mommyrecommends📚 . #read and grab #favorite games #fluent reading #child development #learning by playing #we like #you recommend #mamadochki #mamason #kurgan #tyumen #novosibirsk #moscow #peter

Missarchetekture #buonanotte unpacked for the night #grab read from #bandaumnikov Zverobuki is somehow closer to me... the option indicated for 4 years is very simple. So we choose a word and look for it... guess who won)? #boardgame #4 years I thought about buying one for the kindergarten, but it’s unrealistic for the whole group to play, it’s too early for them without a teacher, and the children may not react so quickly)))

Svetaboyko I think I’ve already talked about the game “Read and Grab” from #bandaumnikov, but I want to show the game in action💜. The game has 3 difficulty levels, which makes it possible to play both 3.6~4 and older. On one side of the round cards there are pictures (three on each card), and on the other side a word. For kids, only the side with the picture participates in the game. The game is similar to the now popular game #doble. We take any card for ourselves and start the game, we need to look at what is drawn on the card and find one match among the others (for example, an owl, a magnifying glass, a dog is drawn, we need to find a card on which there is one of these pictures), we grab it for ourselves, put it on top and look for it matches for the card that was taken and so on until the options run out, the one who collects the most wins. When the child has already learned to read a little, you can start playing a more complex version with words. The video shows exactly this version of the game (and Olive’s ass😂 forgive the little shameless person😝). In this version there are 2 levels of difficulty (words are easier and more difficult), they differ in the color of the words and we have removed them. According to the rules, everything is simple: we read the word and look for what we read in the pictures, turn it over, read a new word, etc. The rules, of course, are to play with an opponent for speed, but Masha has no one to play with yet, so Masha just reads and searches and gets no less pleasure from the game. After a couple of games, Masha began to sound it out by looking at the word, which is what the game was actually designed for, to teach and train fluent reading. I recommend this game for at least two reasons: the game is designed for different ages, so it will last for more than one year. And a non-intrusive educational game, what could be better? The downside is that the game is in Russian, but I explained a rare word to Masha how to read (dog, etc.) and Masha quickly figured it out. The problematic word was pumpkin because Masha read “y” as a soft sign, but she already understands everything. We ordered in a joint purchase from @babybooks.ua, but now you can also buy games in online stores, I recently bought from #domigr as a gift and for us a replenishment of the game delissimo (teaching fractions), animal letters (learning words by letter). I’ll show you soon too, as soon as my brains stop melting from the heat😰. #Mashulkin_tabletops #readgrab

Soldatushka111 On weekends, the question often arises of what to do with the child (preferably all together). Until today, our favorite game at home was dominoes. Nadyushka loves to cut into him. It’s about playing, not just playing 😂 Of course, we still have walking games, lotto (both children’s and regular), but we wanted something new. And so I purchased “Read and Grab” from the “Gang of Smart People” company. Since there were a lot of questions, I want to do it here short review- maybe it will be useful to someone else. The game is sold in a good quality cardboard box. This is important, because there is experience in packaging in bags and boxes something that has completely ill-conceived packaging in terms of long-term use. There are cardboard tokens inside (initially they are all on sheets so that nothing gets lost during transportation, and you have to separate them yourself - but this is a one-time event, the child was happy to do it). In addition to the tokens themselves, the box contains a sheet of paper with detailed description rules of the game. The game is designed for children from 4 years old. Develops attention and reading speed (not all at once, but depending on the level of the chosen method of play). The first time we played in a simple way- from the pictures. Each person is given a token with three items/objects on it. You need to find a token in the general pile that shows at least one of the items from the player’s picture. The goal is to collect as many tokens as possible. My dragonfly immediately understood what had to be done, and by the third time I had to not only collect tokens for myself, but also make sure that this cunning thing didn’t cheat 😂😂😂 In addition to attention, the easiest way also trains counting (at the end you need to count the number of collected tokens ). Next time we will play the second way, using the back of the token. That is, we read the word on our token and look for this item/object among the pictures in the general pile. The goal is the same - to collect a larger pile for yourself. There is a third method, the most difficult - both the players have the token upside down (i.e., in a word), and in the general pile there are also tokens with the pictures facing down. Another advantage of the game is that everyone plays at once, without waiting for their turn. It's better to play at the table, but we sat on the sofa - that's okay too. I thought it would be boring, but it turned out to be very interesting! #readgrab #bandaumnikov

Katrin_pchela 📚 Grisha will go to school this year, but we’re still not very good at reading 🙈. He reads slowly, and sometimes confuses letters when reading, but this is really due to inattention. So I try in different ways to increase interest in reading and once again to practice. . ✔️ That’s why I couldn’t pass by the game “Read-Grab” from the company @bandaumnikov - it will help you unobtrusively increase your reading speed during the game, and also teach attentiveness. . ✔️ The set includes 96 tokens, with three pictures drawn on one side and a word written on the other. The chips are small in size, made of thick durable cardboard, they are simply indestructible. The quality is very good 👍. The tokens are divided into two groups based on difficulty level, which differ in color. In one group the words are short, in the other they are longer. . ✔️ There are three options for playing with chips, so you can play from 3 years old. The one who collects the most chips wins. . ✔️ This is how we play with Pasha - he looks for identical pictures on the chips. And Grisha reads the word on the chip and looks for the chip with the corresponding picture. There is an even more difficult level - there are chips with words on the field, and the player needs to find a word that matches one of the pictures on his token. . ✔️ Of course, it’s more interesting to play in the company of friends so that the chances are approximately equal. Because when playing with an adult, the result is obvious 😀. So we’ll call Grisha’s friends more often. . ✔️ The game is compact, so you can easily take it on a visit, on the road or on vacation. . 👉 In general, I hope this gambling will help Grisha improve his reading quality. . ❓ Do you have any games to practice reading skills? Share 😀

Sinituslik A game that appeared with us relatively recently, but in just a couple of days it managed to win the child’s attention and my incredible gratitude to its creators! ⠀ I’ve said more than once that Dusya hates independent reading😁 With every fiber of her soul she hates this process and books for independent reading fly all over our room to the accompaniment of children’s abuse and my twitching eye😡 It’s okay if she couldn’t do it, no, for her age she reads syllables quite well and quickly. ⠀ As a result, I removed all the books, saying that she wouldn’t know the end of the stories, and I’m certainly not going to reveal the secrets, and put ours in a prominent place new game"Read and grab." ⠀ The result didn’t take long, the child brought a new box, which unexpectedly also contained stickers as a gift (thanks @bandaumnikov), carefully unpacked it, squeezed out all the tokens and, without being indignant at the rules of the game, asked to get down to business urgently😅. ⠀ In the game we have 96 chips of 2 different colors: orange with short words, blue with long ones. ⠀ Dusya said, after the offer to play with orange tokens first, where the words are easier: “Pfffft, why can’t I use blue ones?” In the end, of course, we did not play for speed, as is supposed, but simply read the words, trying to increase the pace and take as many tokens as possible each. I won the first game😋, which warmed up the even greater competitive interest of my little lady, who eventually agreed to move to an easier level. ⠀ With each subsequent token, Dusyan was able to read new words faster and faster and didn’t even have the desire to throw the box with the game out the window somewhere😅 ⠀ In addition to the word, there are 3 pictures on the back of each chip. The tokens are placed face up on the table. The child first takes one chip, turns it over and reads the written word. After reading, he tries to quickly find such a picture among a whole bunch of tokens (fortunately, the pictures are often repeated), turns over the taken chip and reads a new word, and so on. The faster the kid manages to read all the words and find what is written on the tokens, the closer he gets to victory. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Mama_vari.tasi Today we share with you super game"READ GRAB" from @bandaumnikov 👍👍👍👍👍👍 It has several difficulty levels, so this the game will do both for children who still cannot read at all, and for those who have only recently learned the basics of reading. As well as for schoolchildren and adults who want to increase their reading speed. And just have fun and useful time together!!! The quality of the game is excellent. Very thick cardboard, bright pictures!!! The idea with the tokens is great👍👍👍 The competitive spirit is off the charts at 100%👍😂 Varya and I tried the easiest version of the game, which does not require the ability to read. But it’s great for developing attention👍👍👍 “All the tokens on the table are with their pictures facing up. The player’s task is to find a paired token with the same picture as his (at least one), take it into his pile with the picture up and look for a pair for it. But The opponent is not asleep, you have to do everything as quickly as possible!!! The rest of the game options are in the photo, scroll through the carousel!!! In general, I recommend this game to everyone👍👍👍👍👍 #gamesreview

Ekono_mika Now my middle son and I are learning to read and to make this process more fun, I bought the game “Read-Grab” from @bandaumnikov I really liked the game👍Recommended age is 4+, but I think you can start earlier and just look for the same drawings . The set contains 96 tokens. On one side of the chip there are three bright pictures, on the other there is a word written. The chips are divided by color into two game sets: in the first, orange, the words are easier and shorter, in the blue - more complex and longer. There are three variants of the rules: the simplest one does not need to be read - players race to find identical pictures, developing attention and concentration. In the middle version, you need to read the word and find a chip with a corresponding picture on the playing field. In the most difficult version, there are words on the field, among which you need to grab the one that corresponds to one of the pictures on the player’s chip many mother #three times mother #mother of many children

Timanola Another game for quick and easy learning reading from @langes.ru and “Gang of Smarties” - “Read-Grab”. The easiest rules are to collect more word tokens than other players. There are two types of tokens: - with simpler words (one-word and two-syllable) - and with slightly more complex words (three syllables) How to play: 🔹The tokens are mixed and laid out in front of the players with the picture facing up. 🔹Players take the first token and read the word on the back. For example, you got “Book” - 🔹You need to find a token with a picture of a book on it and put it on top of your first token. There will be a new word on the back - look for the next picture and so on until the tokens run out. 🔹When they run out, the players count the tokens, each in their own pile. Whoever has more tokens and whose pile is higher wins. 🔹There are also situations when the token with the desired picture is no longer there - everything has been sorted out 🤷🏻‍♀️ Then you begin to put a new pile next to it and subtract one from your total number of tokens for each new pile. That's all 😉 During the game, charged with the spirit of competition, children are very quickly forced to learn to read in order to win - this is such a Spartan approach 😄 Just kidding, it’s really easy to play and the words are truly read already during the second game. Verified👌🏻

Olgatout #games_tout and #letters_tout 👍 Watch with sound! Wonderful game for learning to read! I already showed “Animal Letters” once, and this is “Read-Grab”, also from @bandaumnikov ❤ --- There are 3 options for the game: -- 🎈 for the little ones - look for paired pictures (all tokens are turned upside down); -- 🎈read the word and look for the corresponding PICTURE among the tokens on the table; -- 🎈look at the picture and look for the WORD among the tokens laid out in words upward (this option trains reading fluency). - At the same time, there are tons of tokens in the box! More precisely, 96 - 48 simple words and 48 are more difficult. For convenience, they have different backgrounds, and the box itself has a divider that can be divided into two compartments. We are currently using tokens with an orange background (words of 3-5 letters). -- The drawings are very cute and funny, you can make up stories with them or, for example, play according to the rules of “Shuffle” (to quickly assemble a chain of tokens in which at least 1 symbol is repeated among the neighboring ones). The tokens are made of thick cardboard, good quality. -- In general, the game is very varied! 😃 Interesting and useful! Vlad is learning to read reluctantly, we study with the ABC book under pressure, if I told him “Read, Vladik, 48 words!”, he would 100% run away to play with robots and Legos. And here he reads! Excitingly! 👍
