Mod is a merchant. Vendors in Skyrim: interactions, tips, mods. Higher Level - Better Things

Description:
Skyrim Merchants is a mod that adds more merchants to Skyrim. Unlike other mods, this is a modular system that allows you to choose which stores you want to see and where. This initial version of the mod will include Riverwood, Morthal and Whiterun, with more villages and towns to be added in the future.
With the help of the MSM menu, you can choose in which city which shops you want to see. Another interesting feature of the mod is the ability to make all merchants immortal.
You will not be able to change a store while you are in a town or village with that store. This mod does not require any DLC. However, you will need to download and install SKSE, and ideally SkyUI, to configure the MSM menu.
In fact, this mod is a modular system, it should be compatible with other mods in terms of clipping textures on the ground. The mod has been cleaned up with TES5EDIT.

It is only natural that merchants in Skyrim, as in any role-playing computer game, play an important role. Precisely to the trade workers of the world The elder Scrolls, we bring trophy items obtained in difficult wanderings for sale. It is the prices that are partially influenced by some perks of the Speech skill, it is from local merchants that we buy items that are so necessary in the campaigns and in the everyday life of the hero. The fact that merchants are of no small importance in the world of Skyrim does not require additional confirmation, but requires an additional article on arbse.

Each merchant in Skyrim belongs to a certain type and is engaged in buying and selling items of a certain class. Yes, after activating the corresponding perk of the Skyrim Speech skill, any merchant will buy any items from you. However, this will not happen soon and not for everyone. For not every hero will invest the perks that are so necessary for character development in non-core areas. So, as a standard, you will not be able to sell solid iron armor to a local magician or healer. However, some of the merchants are distinguished by a high degree of versatility, so that already within the framework of one city, you can conveniently and quickly sell trophies of various types without any particular problems.

Types of Skyrim merchants

Innkeepers are also involved in the sale and purchase of items, but they are distinguished by a fair amount of promiscuity, so that you can sell them a lot. However, the sale of stolen goods is a separate topic in Skyrim, and respectable merchants will not buy stolen goods from you, such items will not even appear in the trade menu. If you want to get rid of items obtained not through dangerous wanderings and bloody battles, you will need to look for a huckster in The Elder Scrolls, so your path is ordered to the Skyrim Thieves Guild, separate articles have been written about this on the site. But ordinary items from you will be happy to buy almost all representatives of the trade of the world of the Elder Scrolls, if this type of goods is of interest to them. However, do not be surprised at such low prices when selling hard-earned property, and do not be surprised at the scrap prices for foreign goods. The "value" indicator for items shows the real price of the thing, something like the rate of the central bank of the Nords, so the difference between the prices of buying and selling from traders should not frighten, but cannot but alarming.

Price difference in Skyrim

Such injustice can be corrected by you in the near future, or rather slightly corrected. Many perks of the speech skill affect pricing, that is, your things begin to be accepted at more sane prices, and sales prices return from heaven to earth, in any case, they begin to steadily strive for it. However, if you don't want to spend free perks on trading, then you can do that.

Do you need money in Skyrim?

However, it should be noted that the use of gold coins in Skyrim can be found very easily, much easier than in the previous series of Elder Scrolls, also described on the site. In Oblivion, one could get by with modest sums, it can also be implemented in Skyrim, but with great difficulty. For then the money to buy a house, to equip it, to train many masters of the skill is clearly not enough. Also, you may like this or that artifact, the prices for which are considerable at the merchants.

Merchant Gold Limited in The Elder Scrolls 5

It is also worth considering the fact that merchants will not buy absolutely all items from you. Trophies that your hero, having already lost the ability to run from overload, from last strength, put it on the counter. Skyrim merchants also have a limited money supply. Technically, it will be possible to sell him further, but not to receive hard currency for it. However, The Elder Scrolls 5 has an answer to this, too, in the form of another perk to the speech skill.

Should you develop trade perks in Skyrim?

So the development of the eloquence skill can be a useful idea, however, I am still developing the profile skills of the character, and I do not spend money .. Now let's move on to the fact that the range of merchants undergoes significant changes in the process of passing Skyrim. Which is not too logical, but objectively necessary to preserve the game mechanics.

Higher level - better things?

Despite numerous assurances regarding the leveling system in Skyrim (when the game adjusts to the player's level), one cannot fail to notice interesting feature... The assortment of merchants over time, according to the development of your character, becomes richer and among the local shopkeepers who sold rusty steel armor, elven armor and arrows appear imperceptibly and smoothly. There is an obvious fact of updating the assortment of stores in Skyrim, which occurs as our hero develops. Some illogicality of this action can be explained by the fact that traders find new suppliers of goods. In any case, there is no alternative to this adaptation option.

Are all merchants in Skyrim equal or not?

After all, otherwise, if you divide the traders according to the quality of goods initially, it will be possible at the start passing Skyrim buy a decent weapon, thereby gaining a gaming advantage (the well-known decision in Fallout 2 works in a similar way). So even in the wilderness of the Nordic province in the future, it will be possible to replenish the supply of quality arrows or buy other modern equipment that is so necessary in the fight against dragons.

Version: 1.4.1a
Language: Russian

Description:
Skyrim has a lot of shops and merchants and you can always buy or sell something, but wouldn't you want to become a salesperson yourself as well as the sellers in shops or behind the counter on the street? Now you have such an opportunity! This mod will give you the opportunity to open your own business with a trading place in the market or anywhere and sell goods, just like other NPC sellers. NPCs passing by will inspect your items and goods and buy them.

Update: 1.4.1a
- The mod itself was not updated, corrections and corrections were made to the translation (thanks KittGT), phrases in which the address "you" or "you" was changed to "you" or "you" were corrected, "thoughts out loud" were corrected when notifications are shown that the buyer wants to make, instead of "Buyer will buy", now the word buyer does not exist at all, there, and so the name is indicated, and other minor edits of the text translation

Changelog:
- Fixed minor bugs when displaying notification messages showing "[...] ..."
- Your companions will now be able to trade when you are in another location or go about your business
- Fixed vanilla prices for enchanted items from mods
- Fixed minor delegation issues
- Fixed bug when NPC clients froze like dummies
- Fixes for other minor bugs
- Now you can allow your follower to open a trading place for you
- Followers can now buy items from you

How it works:
- In the forge, craft a Trading Place using 6 logs, 3 linen or leather fabrics, and 2 iron ingots
- Throw out the "Trading Place" from your inventory where you want to trade (Chair and carpet will be placed automatically)
- Place the item for sale in the chest next to you. This can also be done by activating the chair and selecting "Mark Items" in the dialog box. The first 8 items on the list will lie on the carpet (this is your counter on the ground)
- To start trading, activate the chair and select "Start Trading"
- NPCs passing by will inspect your goods and if they find something worthwhile, a "negotiation" dialogue will start:

1st option- Agree
You will sell the item at the price suggested by the buyer. This price will be your income and is equivalent to 90% of the real price (this is the price that sellers have in stores) 10% tax is deducted

2nd option- 10% discount
You sell an item for 10% less. The discount improves the reputation of your business. A high reputation leads to more buyers.

3rd option- Refuse
You refuse the offered price. The buyer may refuse the transaction or offer a slightly higher price than the previous one
The reputation of your business will deteriorate if the deal does not go through.

Attraction of clients:

A customer can visit your stall if there is an NPC in the area
- If you have high eloquence (the higher the eloquence, the higher the chance that they will buy something from you or inspect the goods)
- If the reputation of your business is high
- The client can start bargaining if the level of the buyer is high
- If the NPC is wearing rich clothing or expensive armor
- If the NPC has a lot of money
- If your product is below store prices
- How do I know what the client is looking for and if he is going to visit my counter? Labels will appear in the upper left corner of the screen

Trading place opening options:

Chair menu:
"Start trading" - start trading. To finish trading, just get out of your chair
"Finish the trade" - collect all the belongings and put them in your inventory. All items that are in the chest will go into your inventory
Price: XXX - Selecting the price of goods
Cancellation: - close the dialog box

Price menu:

Negotiated:
When customers want to buy something, a "negotiation" menu will appear

Average:
You are selling things for a real price. The "real" price is the price that is found in conventional stores.

10% discount:
You sell things for 10% less, this improves the reputation of your business

High:
You want to sell things for a higher price. In most cases, negotiations can fail. This worsens the reputation of the business.

Eloquence:

Level 30 eloquence - you will know what the buyer needs
Level 60 Speech - you can tell if an NPC is going to inspect your item

On a note:
- You must remember how much a thing really costs before you start trading, this will give you an advantage in order not to lose the price
- You pay 10% tax on every item sold
- Not every client will be a buyer.

Merchants in Skyrim are those who sell a wide variety of things and to whom you can sell all the unnecessary loot of the protagonist. They are usually found in all cities and small settlements, and also sometimes roam the roads. All merchants specialize in products of different categories.

The gold reserves of the merchants of Skyrim, just like their assortment, are far from unlimited. True, after some time the assortment is replenished, therefore, before making another purchase from the same seller, it is better to wait a few days.

Pharmacists and jewelers

Apothecaries, who are also alchemists, are engaged in the purchase and sale of various alchemical products. They typically trade in animal parts, cooked and uncooked food, a variety of ingredients, dangerous poisons, elixirs, and recipes.

You can turn to jewelers for valuable stones, jewelry, ore, ingots, as well as tools.

Hoarders and blacksmiths

The first category of Skyrim merchants specializes in a little bit of everything. Most of the items come true for them. Rags have a special column in the trade section called "Miscellaneous" - it contains the goods of the most different types and categories.

Blacksmiths specialize in certain things: skins, armor and armor, arrows, debris / ingots, various tools and weapons of all types.

Innkeepers and Spell Providers

The merchants who are innkeepers often do not own the inns themselves. Their usual assortment always includes items such as food, uncooked food, and ingredients.

Spell providers also refer to the merchants of Skyrim. They usually have money through the sale of magical items, so these merchants are well versed in books, various spells, soul stones, enchanted clothes, and more. Vendors can also be consulted with Daedric Artifacts, Elder Scrolls, Spell Tomes, and Magic Staves.

Hunters and Farmers

Besides official traders, certain types of goods are also accepted by hunters and farmers. The former are interested in those things that are usually obtained during hunting or fishing, and the latter are interested in those that grow in fields and beds.

Hunters live in special camps and sometimes meet in city markets. Farmers are farming near their homes and can be found anywhere in Skyrim.

Buyers of stolen goods

The last category of Skyrim merchants is the stolen merchant. They work for the Thieves Guild and deal only with its members - otherwise they simply cannot be reached. Usually, the player gains access to the buyers only after completing certain quests. At first, their accounts have only a thousand gold coins, but as the Guild improves, this amount gradually increases (the limit is 40,000 coins).

Buyers are the only merchants to accept stolen goods. In addition, they can sell goods of absolutely any category.

Dremora Merchant

With the Dragonborn expansion for Skyrim, players can now summon a special merchant straight from Oblivion itself. His appearance although it resembles other dremora, it is still closer to the human.

The merchant can be summoned for only fifteen seconds, and the time required to examine the product is not counted. The call can be carried out endlessly, without any waiting. The buying and selling process is exactly the same as with regular sellers.

The Dremore merchant has two thousand septims with him. He is interested in things of any type and class, except for those that have been stolen. It is also worth noting that the player cannot use his eloquence on Dremora (not a single level).

How to sell an item?

In order to start the trading process, you need to find special NPC characters who just specialize in this area. You need to start a regular dialogue, and then select the option of the replica "What is for sale?" (or an analogue of this replica).

A new window should appear on the screen with the name of the merchant and the categories of things that he trades. At the bottom of the window, you can see the name of your own character and all of his inventory.

It is worth noting that not every seller will be interested in a particular item. You can notice this trend through the inventory, in which some things will be highlighted, and some will not. To sell any unnecessary item to the merchant, just select it and press the R key. By the way, you need to buy the item in the same way.

Useful money mods

The merchants of Skyrim almost always have a limited supply of gold. Usually this problem is solved in several ways: the player can start doing business only with buyers from the Thieves Guild, or he can use special modifications that expand trading opportunities.

One of the most popular mods is the Wealthy Merchants of Skyrim. It was created specifically for those cases when players who accumulated a large amount of loot had to look for several sellers at once in order to sell all their goods. The "Rich Merchants" mod increases the account of each merchant to 20,000 gold coins. This amount appears every time in a couple of days after updating the location.

Another interesting mod adds to the game a completely new merchant named Ma "jahar. Ma" jahar is a Khajiit who is located at the gate of Whiterun and offers his services to the player. He always has a lot of gold with him, which he gladly exchanges for any things. In addition, the Khajiit can easily replace the Thieves Guild Buyers, as he also accepts stolen items.

In Skyrim, you can indeed find unique artifacts that differ from other items in their textures, damage, enchantment, speed, and so on. The list below will not be included. Here are a few rare artifacts which you can find in the original Skyrim:

1. Cooler sword, which is in the house of Mercer Frey, behind a showcase that needs to be hacked. The sword has the texture of a glass sword, but has a different color and a unique effect that deals cold damage and paralyzes the enemy.

2. Dragon Scourge Sword is in heavenly harbor, lies on the table, near the chest. It is a sword of blades that deals main sword damage + 20 damage to dragons.

3. Archmage Robe can be obtained by completing the College of Winterhold quest chain. Clothing gives the wearer 100% restoration of magic, +50 units of magic and 15% less mana is spent when using spells.

4. White bottleunique item, which is given as a reward for completing the quest, which is taken from the old alchemist Nurelion in Windhelm. The white bottle gradually restores its contents, that is, if you pour a health recovery potion into it and drink it, then after a while the potion will recover.

5. Dagger Wren- the only dagger that can pierce the bark of the Great Tree, is used to complete the task.

6. Dagger Blade of sorrow»Can be obtained by completing the dark brotherhood quest chain. In the end, you need to kill Astrid with this blade. Has an enchantment that steals health.
