Collage of coins and banknotes. Unusual use of common coins. Coin Craft Skins

A hand-made thing radiates a special energy, because the soul of the master, his joy from creative work, is invested in it, and articles made from coins also have the magical property of attracting money. However, this is not the only reason why pennies often become part of hand-made compositions.

Advantages of coins as a material for crafts:

  • Accessibility (there is a trifle in every home);
  • Durability of metal products (labor will not be wasted);
  • The correct rounded shape makes it easier to make crafts with your own hands;
  • The presence of several diameters expands the possibilities of use (fulfillment of ideas);
  • Variety of designs (chasing) and choice of colors (yellow and white).

The proposed ideas of "coinage" are easy to implement. You just need to stock up on the required amount of change.

What can be made from penny coins?

The simplest crafts require a glue gun, a base item, and a fair amount of small items. The manufacturing method is simple: a clean surface is sequentially pasted over with coins.

Choosing coins of different dignity, you can achieve filling the entire area without gaps. Finishing elements can be placed flat or at an angle (i.e. glue the coin with an edge).

Such crafts are good because you do not need to drill and bend or cut metal.

Beautiful crafts from coins with your own hands:

  • Vase or flowerpot;
  • Photo frame;
  • Souvenir "money bottle";
  • Hovering cup, money tap;
  • Furniture decor;
  • Topiary (horseshoe of happiness, hearts, balls).

The imagination of the masters is not limited to simple pasting of finished items. A trifle becomes complete " building material"! The coins are stacked one on top of the other to form cylinders. Then the walls are erected from the coin columns. In this way, crafts are made in the form of a ship, a castle, a box.

What to do so that the craft does not lose its spectacular appearance over time?

Experienced craftsmen cover coins with spray paint (silver or gold), and then with acrylic varnish in several layers. Such a thing is not difficult to look after. It can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

How to get a flat surface? If you are confused by the gaps between the pennies, you can fill them with silicone. Moreover, it is not necessary to use a transparent composition.

Photo frame

Choose a thicker cardboard and cut out a frame of the desired shape from it. The width of the frame should not be too wide (just a little more than the diameter of the coins is enough) so that the product does not turn out to be too heavy.

Then we glue the pennies. At this point, everyone acts as fantasy dictates. You can glue only a few coins in the corners or fill the entire surface with coins, choose coins that are absolutely the same in size and color, or make patterns from different elements.

Place the photo on the back of the frame. For the convenience of changing the picture, you can glue cardboard guides for a photo.

Decorations

Coins have long been used to decorate clothes, make jewelry, talismans from them. Moreover, the money in the product did not lose its purchasing power... A bracelet or monisto could be exchanged for food.

Modern craftsmen drill holes in coins, connect them together with wires, forming chains (sometimes in several tiers). You can make a pendant, earrings, bracelet from coins with a hole. In the latter case, pennies can be attached to a chain with small rings made of thin wire or connected by weaving from a lace.

The ring is somewhat more difficult to make, but the work of the master is afraid, so nothing is impossible for a hand man.

Money Tree

Coin crafts have long been popular money trees... This symbol of prosperity serves as a good gift or a good interior decoration.

For work you will need:

  • Kopecks (it is better to use elements of the minimum diameter, with a denomination of 1 or 10 kopecks);
  • Thin wire;
  • Stand;
  • Thick wire or branches of a real tree;
  • Acrylic paints;
  • Plasticine or putty;
  • Tools.

Preparation method:

  1. We make holes in the coins.
  2. We fix a tree formed from thick wire or branches on the stand.
  3. We cut a thin wire into pieces 10-20 centimeters long.
  4. We pass the wire into the hole of the coin, bend it in half and twist the free ends. It turns out a circle on a flexible stick.
  5. We connect individual blanks to each other in 3-5 pieces. We twist the wires. We form branches.
  6. We wrap the resulting branches around the branches of a tree on a stand.
  7. We mask all flaws with putty. Let it dry.
  8. We paint the trunk and base with acrylic paints. Let it dry.
  9. We cover with varnish. It is better to use a matte varnish for the barrel, and a glossy varnish for the coins.

The money tree can not only stand on a stand, but also hang on the wall in the form of a picture. To do this, we glue the trunk and branches from any suitable material to the selected base. These can be sticks and twigs found on a walk, rope or twine, plasticine or clay. We take what is at hand. Place coins around the branches. You may need to cover the creation with a thin layer of acrylic paint (to even out the color) and apply shadows, add various decorative elements.

Panel

The panel can be based on a rectangular sheet of plywood or fiberboard. This way of storing travel memorabilia is much more convenient and effective than keeping "trophies" in bulk.

Making a panel in the form of volumetric letters is as easy as shelling pears. We cut out symbols from plywood or cardboard (you can use dense foam or other convenient material) and glue coins of various denominations and sizes (currencies of different countries) on droplets of hot glue.

aluminum plug;

  • coins;
  • glossy acrylic varnish;
  • hot glue.
  • Preparation method:

    • We bend the fork so that its teeth can catch on the edge of the saucer, and glue the cup to the handle in a horizontal position.
    • We make the base heavier (glue a handful of coins one by one).
    • We attach a fork to the saucer, and glue a cup to its end.
    • We glue the fork with coins so that it is not visible.
    • We cover the "stream" with several layers of varnish (the more the better) to create the appearance of a reflection of the water.

    Instead of a cup, you can glue a faucet or horn; this will not change the meaning of the original coin craft.

    Such gifts have magical powers. They attract financial well-being. Money to money, penny to penny - the truth of these expressions has been confirmed by many years of practice. The shining object serves as a magnet for banknotes of various denominations. The symbol of an inexhaustible cash flow is useful for both a businessman and a housewife.

    Coin Crafts Record: metal creativity(20 photos) first appeared.

    Coin crafts have long been considered one of the most common types of home handicrafts. This is due to the fact that at times a large amount of unnecessary trifles accumulates in the house, which can be put into business by making various accessories and souvenirs from it. At the same time, you will not only spend your free time with good use, but also save money in reserve, because they will retain all the properties of the payment currency.

    Crafts from coins are very popular today.

    Pros of Coin Crafts

    Crafts from coins, made by hand, in Lately have become quite popular for a variety of wines. So, if earlier work with money was entrusted to jewelers or blacksmiths, which could be made from coins monisto or a necklace, now anyone can make products from them. This is due to the fact that metallic money has become available to most people, and not only wealthy citizens, and also to the fact that hand-made has come into fashion, which uses any suitable objects to create various crafts.

    Of the advantages of working with coins, experienced hand-made masters name the following points:

    • availability of a thin coin;
    • ease of working with metal;
    • the ability, if necessary, to use coins as a payment weapon;
    • the durability of souvenirs created from them.

    Attention! Coin crafts are usually made from a thin coin, which is rarely used in payments.

    So, so, crafts from coins of 10 kopecks are made from various coins of the corresponding denomination, which are no longer in circulation, or are limited. This is the money of the USSR stage or the 90s of the last century. At the same time, most householders have a reserve of such trifles at home, since it is far from always in demand in stores. As a result, this little thing is easy to access, and can be used to create homemade products.

    Coin Crafts Help Attract Physical Well-Being

    Coin souvenirs are also good because they are durable. The fact is that the manufacture of money usually goes to metal, which is not very susceptible to corrosion. Naturally, products made from it will serve you for a long time, and in order to return them a pleasant appearance you just need to polish them until they shine. In addition, metal can be easily processed even by a novice artisan, which opens up wide possibilities for the front.

    Coin crafts can be used as an ordinary means of payment

    Also money crafts of coins are good because they can be used as an ordinary means of payment in case of need. To do this, you must leave the coin itself intact or damage it minimally. By the way, in ancient times, jewelry was specially made from coins in order to be able to pay for food with them in case of need.

    Separately, it should be said about such a direction of this type of hand-made as feng shui. According to its principles, if you want to attract material well-being, you need to decorate premises using banknotes and coins. So, a money tree is created from them, or they are fixed on the walls of the room and on the surface of the furniture.

    Coin Craft Skins

    Coin crafts come in a variety of shapes. This is due to both their practical use and the technique of manufacturing such products. If we divide these crafts according to the principle of utilitarian use, then there are accessories and gifts made from coins, as well as decorative elements made from them. If the former can be used in everyday life, for example, in the form of buttons or fasteners, then the latter are needed unusually to satisfy aesthetic needs, for example, to decorate furniture.

    As for the methods of making the named products, then the same craft from penny coins can be made by braiding. To do this, 2 holes are made in a similar coin through which fishing line or wire is passed. As a result, bundles are obtained, from which you can then weave a bracelet or necklace. Such a tourniquet can be decorated with beads or beads, as a result of which it will only become more beautiful.

    The second way to make homemade coins from coins is to create a mosaic from them. It can be made by putting money on plasticine, glue or special mastic. In this way, you can decorate furniture, household items, interior items. In addition, experienced artisans can make a real picturesque panel out of coins.

    Decorating a paint vase with coins is very simple.

    The third main method, with the support of which you can make crafts from coins, is to use them as an improvised material in jewelry, locksmith or blacksmithing. For example, coins can be used to decorate metal flasks, dishes, weapons. In addition, a commemorative sign with the directive of the name, emblem and image of a person can be made from them. Naturally, such products can only be made by an experienced craftsman.

    Coin crafts are often brought to the wedding.

    It is worth noting! Crafts made from coins and banknotes are often presented to a wedding as a symbol of the financial well-being of a young family.

    Here fantasy can play out very widely, but the most loose option is the so-called money tree. In addition, rings and earrings are often created from gold coins, they should bring money to the newlyweds.

    As for the unusual ways of using coins, they have recently been used to decorate countertops, make stands for hot food, and decorate the floor. It all depends on your taste and, of course, your financial condition. The fact is that coins are still money, so only wealthy people can widely use them in interior design, if, of course. you do not have a stock of disused banknotes in your home.

    How to make a money tree?

    If you are allowed to make crafts, the first product can be a money tree made of coins. In order to create such a tree, you will need:

    • PVA glue;
    • about 100 coins;
    • sackcloth;
    • thermal gun;
    • picture frame;
    • acrylic paints, brush and sponge.

    Attention! The money tree is a fairly simple homemade product, but if you decide to professionally make crafts from coins with your own hands, it makes sense for you to attend a master class on this topic.

    Usually, at such events, they tell about the intricacies of the implementation of a particular product and demonstrate especially complex technical enrollments.

    As for the money tree itself, for the base, you will need to glue the burlap to the cardboard base of the picture frame. Next, strips 1-1.5 cm wide are cut from a three-layer napkin folded in half. The barrel of a tree will be made from them in the future.

    To do this, take one strip, unfold it and divide it in half so that it can be twisted more conveniently. After that, holding it by one end, the strip is placed in water. As a result, it becomes soft, and it will be very easy to roll it into a flagellum, following the example of plasticine products. In this case, twisting must be done in one direction at an angle of 45 °.

    There are separate difficulties in the manufacture of a money tree.

    After the consumable is ready, you need to find a sketch of the future money tree or its image. This can be done easily on the Internet by asking in the search box a question about how to make crafts from coins and photos of such crafts. On the basis of such a sketch, the applique is performed. To do this, the ready-made flagella with PVA glue are glued to the burlap according to the sketch outlined in advance.

    A bright money tree made of beads with coins will amuse the eyes every day

    After the wood is glued, it will need to be dried. Next, you need to take a thermal gun and, with its support, glue coins on the burlap. First, they are glued to the office of the crown formed by flagella from a napkin, and then they fill all the spaces of the panel. Glue streaks are removed with a coarse brush, and the product is put to dry.

    To make the tree look a lot impressive, you need to make several layers of coins.

    After drying, the craft is smeared black with acrylic paints. Then the coins are slightly shaded with bronze paint. After the glue and paint have dried, the finished money tree is inserted into a frame, and it can be presented to the newlyweds at the wedding.

    Crafts from coins of 10 kopecks

    Another common type of money crafts are crafts made from 10 penny coins. This is due to the fact that this coin is slow-moving, so its stocks are often accumulated in the apartments of Russians, since far away not every trading company agrees to accept them for payment in large numbers. But they make great crafts from coins, for example, decorated bottles.

    Attention! Starting to make such crafts from 10 kopecks coins with your own hands, first of all, bend a suitable container for yourself.

    So, a bottle for such a homemade product can have almost any shape, but it will be better when its surface allows you to easily place coins on it. You will need old tights - they are used to make a kind of tube and a zipper 15 cm long.

    Crafts from 10 penny coins are loose

    If you have never made crafts from coins with your own hands before, you should study a photo of such a process. To decorate the bottle, you will first need to pull a pre-prepared nylon tube over the container and, slightly draping it, make a slit for a zipper. It is better to make such a cut a little obliquely.

    Golden Apple from coins - a great gift

    Next, the zipper is placed at the edges of the cut and, using a hot glue gun, is attached to the nylon. As a result, a small pocket should form in the unbuttoned state. The resulting operation will be the impregnation of nylon glue. After you saturate it with PVA, you will need to leave the workpiece to dry overnight.

    Coin Crafts Aimed at Attracting Good Luck

    The next stage is painting the bottle with steel or black paint from an aerosol can. Then the workpiece will again have to dry for 5-6 hours. After that, you will again need to pick up a thermal gun and glue ten-kopeck coins into the previously created pocket. To give them a nice look, they are painted with bronze or silver paint. The final finish of such a craft will be to cover it with varnish.

    You can decorate other items in a similar manner. In addition, crafts from coins with a denomination of 10 kopecks are made using the beadwork technique. This is due to the fact that such coins have a small diameter and therefore go well with beads. So, they are actively used in the process of making bracelets, necklaces and necklaces. To do this, 2 holes are made in them, into which a fishing line or silicone thread is threaded for weaving. At the same time, some experienced craftsmen manage to weave real dresses from threads with coins.

    This coin pendant will be a great decoration for your car

    If you have only recently taken up this type of hand-made, you should first start making the simplest crafts. Having learned how to make panels or simple bracelets, you can move on to work in feng shui styles, which have its own principles and unique techniques in decorating and decorating both premises and household objects. They are aimed at bringing luck and financial well-being to the home where the furnishings are made, in accordance with the rules of this philosophy.

    Today you can buy almost anything you want. However, now hand-made things are considered more valuable. And not just because it is exclusive, and no one will have anything like it, but also because a person will definitely put a piece of his soul and positive into such a homemade product. And this is a very valuable gift! It is worth noting that after reading this article, everyone will be able to conduct a master class "Crafts from coins" among relatives, friends and acquaintances, because there is a lot of information and it is very interesting.

    Monisto

    So, if a person has a lot of coins that can no longer be paid in the store, you can usefully attach them. Why not create DIY coin crafts? What could it be? First of all, jewelry. You can make a chic necklace that our ancestors wore in the old days. It is called monisto. How to make such a product? To do this, you need to take a cord or chain, as well as a lot of coins. It is worth noting that the necklace can be either in one row or in several. In order to hold the coins together, you will need to drill small holes in them and thread through thin wires. If the necklace will be in several rows, it is necessary to fasten the pennies at the bottom and top, if desired, you can also on the sides. You can also attach coins to the chain using a wire that will be threaded through the hole in the chain and through the hole in the coin. If the pennies are attached to the cord, then it can simply be threaded through the holes. You can attach a special hook to such a necklace for closing, but it can also simply be tied at the back of the neck with a bow.

    Ring

    What other coin crafts can there be? Why shouldn't a man make a ring for his beloved? In her jewelry collection, it will definitely be the most valuable, since it will be created by hand. So let's get started. First of all, a hole must be drilled in the coin exactly in the center. How can this be achieved? To securely fix the money, you can make a hole in the board, into which the penny will fall. Next, with a small-diameter drill (about 10-13 mm), you need to make a hole in the coin strictly in the center. To prevent the tool from jumping off, the center can be marked with a core. After these manipulations, you should get something that looks like a washer. If it is, then everything is in order, and you can move on. Next, this workpiece must be put on a metal rod and processed with a hammer evenly over the entire surface (as if pressing it to the rod). An important point: in order for the inscriptions that were on the coin to be preserved, it is necessary to carry out all manipulations with a rubber mallet. It is also better to warm up the money a little beforehand, so it will be more pliable, and the process will not take much time. However, here I must say that the first time such crafts from coins may not work, for an excellent result it will be necessary to spoil a few kopecks. So, this is the rough result of the decoration. Now you need to bring the product to a beautiful state. To do this, you just need to properly polish the ring. This can be done with a special paste and a soft cloth. It is worth noting that these manipulations can take a lot of time, so it's better to be patient. Another secret: before again you need to heat it up and lower it into cold water, so the scale will come off, and the polishing will be more successful and faster. That's all, the ring is ready!

    Photo Frame

    If the previous options were quite difficult to perform, then there are also lighter crafts from coins, which you can create with your own hands pretty quickly. Why not make an interesting photo frame? To do this, you need to take a cardboard of good density (preferably colored) and a photograph, as well as stock up on various coins. The photo is placed in the very center of the cardboard, now it remains to decorate the frame with pretty pennies. To do this, they just need to be "planted" on superglue. It is worth noting that you can decorate the frame in different ways. Someone will find it sufficient to glue a few coins at the corners of the cardboard and stop there. And someone will want to thickly glue the paper with coins, leaving no room for a gap. You will get such a money photo frame.

    Tree

    Can also be made from coins. The craft, by the way, is not only beautiful in its result, but can also carry a special meaning, be a kind of magic magnet for money. To make it, you need to stock up on trifles (you can either of one or different merits), and, of course, prepare a tree. What could it be? This can be an ordinary driftwood from the forest (it can be processed with cloth or paper), to which branches-wires will be attached. Coins, pre-drilled in the very center, are hung on them. The tree can be woven from beads, more precisely, the base can be braided with beads, small twigs can be made. But it will be possible to hang some coins on them, because they simply will not be able to hold on. Or you can go the simple way, decorating an ordinary flowerpot with coins suspended on strings or wire.

    Statuette

    What other coins can there be? You can make an interesting statuette - a money waterfall. This will require a beautiful cup, an old fork, a saucer and coins. And, of course, superglue. First, you need to bend the fork so that it can hold the cup on itself, and at the same time it lies well and adheres to the saucer. The base is ready. Now everything needs to be decorated with coins. It is necessary to glue the product from the bottom up, first decorating the saucer with a sort of scattered small change, then, going up the fork, stick the coins and attach a little bit of small things in the cup. That's all, the money waterfall is ready!

    Casket

    Going further: what other crafts from penny coins are there? Why not make a box out of old trivia? To do this, you can glue the old wooden product with coins, but this will be too easy. Or you can make a box entirely of kopecks by gluing them to one another. You need to start with the legs, then make the bottom, laying the coins on top of one another, as the scales are located in the fish, then erect the walls again (you can simply create turrets, only in this case the box will shine through). To make the lid, you still need a wooden base - the top from the old box, which is simply pasted over with coins.

    Suspension

    Coin crafts can be quite simple. Why not make a simple pendant. A product made of old coin... To do this, you just need to drill a hole of the required diameter in the money and thread a chain or thread through it. And to make the decoration look more beautiful, you can attach the coin to the base using a thin wire. So the penny will not spin and will always lie beautifully on the neck.

    Ordinary coins that have already gone out of use, or are simply lying around with unnecessary weight in your bins, can be turned into original jewelry, or to decorate any surface with their help. Today we offer you a small master class, thanks to which you can change or coffee table or any interior door.

    Materials for work:

    • Many coins (absolutely any, but preferably the same diameter);
    • Nippers;
    • A suitable horizontal surface (in our case, the author used an ordinary interior door without embossed inserts and glass);
    • Wooden thin slats to match the door;
    • Any glue;
    • Epoxy resin in large quantities;

    So, as already mentioned, absolutely any horizontal surface is suitable for our product. In this case, the tree looks like a more advantageous option, as it is in harmony with the color of copper coins.

    Wooden slats must be glued to the edges of our surface, and the corners must fit snugly together, this is very important in the final stage, when we apply the coating.

    Now you need to decide on the pattern that you will lay out on the surface. You can use diagonal stripes, floral motifs, or a simple geometric pattern. Color effects can be created by swapping different colored coins. As a rule, the oldest coins have a dark copper hue, while the newer ones are cast in gold.

    When the pattern is determined, you can begin to lay out its surface, immediately gluing one coin at a time. In places where a whole coin is not needed, cut off the unnecessary using pliers and place the coin in place. We also do not discard the remaining pieces, they may be needed to fill the voids along the edge of the surface.

    In principle, it does not matter which side and in which direction to move, although it is better to start from the edges or from any corner, and already move straight. We place the coins as close to each other as possible so that there are no large gaps between them.

    When the entire surface is covered with coins, you can proceed to the final part. We take epoxy resin and a special hardener, and mix it all until a homogeneous mass is obtained (the number of components is written on each package and depends on the type of resin and manufacturer). When the mixture is ready, simply pour it onto the surface with coins. In this case, wooden slats play the role of sides, and will not allow the still liquid material to leave its place.

    We leave all this to dry completely and we end up with an original surface that will help you decorate any room.
