Balancer changes

  • Balance within one level. Within one level, the number of imbalances in the number of light tanks, tank destroyers, self-propelled guns and platoons will be reduced. For example, there will be fewer battles where one team has light tanks at the top and the other at the bottom of the list.

Changes to crew stun mechanics

What's new?

Balancer

Two months after the release of Update 9.18, the balancer will receive the first edits based on your feedback and data collected. Many of you expressed a lack of understanding why SPGs could not play in a platoon. But we can explain what caused the ban at that moment. This limitation was implemented as a temporary measure necessary to assess the impact of global changes in the type of ACS equipment on the overall game process... After analyzing the data, we return the SPG to the ability to play in a platoon, however, with the limitation of one vehicle of this type per platoon.

Update 9.19.1 will also introduce changes to the lists of teams (the so-called "ears"), and vehicles will be displayed by type. Now the balancer will take into account the number of tank destroyers, light tanks, self-propelled guns and platoon players at each level.

Training ground

Good news for those who have just joined the game, want to brush up on their knowledge or invite friends to the game! In Update 9.19.1, Combat Training will be restarted in the Training Range format. The training course will introduce the player step by step to the hangar interface and explain the tactics and maneuvers for different cards and situations. At each stage, players will receive the most relevant information.

The complexity of some personal combat missions has grown significantly after the introduction of the new balancer and the rework of the ACS. Following World update of Tanks should be expected in the fall of 2017. Naturally, it will not do without edits for researched vehicles, AP or NERFs for tanks. In the new patch, we have reworked the LBZ. And this is not only changes in conditions, with adjustments for difficulty or changed conditions of the "random" - we made a new, user-friendly interface and revised the mechanics of the task chains.

A little about the interface: the entry point to personal combat missions will be changed, now it will be in the hangar header, a new Campaign tab will appear between Tasks and Achievements (the name is not final and may change).
- In the hangar, the LBZ are placed in a separate button.
- The main menu of the LBZ has also been redesigned. Now the interface displays the required order of execution of Operations and Combat missions.

"Modules" are needed to get the award tank - completed all five chains of the BZ and received the tank. But the "Order Form" is already more interesting, because it allows you to skip completing any combat mission. That's right - if you are stuck on a task, you can now skip it, if you previously managed to complete any final KB with honors and get the main reward for it. Including the final combat mission, but to skip it, you will need 4 order forms. A little more complicated, but worth it. By the way, then you can overfulfill the task and get the "Order Form" back, it is reusable. Also, "Order forms" are accumulated and transferred to the next operation, ie. over time, as you accumulate, you can skip the execution of not one chain of knowledge base, but several. If the "Order Forms" are enough, of course.
The progress of completing the LBZ, of course, is carried out, and after the release of the update, you will receive "Order Forms" for all completed final BZ with honors - provided that you did not miss the final Combat missions. And a reward for fulfilling the main conditions of the missed final Combat missions. For example, if you have completed Operation StugIV and Operation T-28 HTC by skipping the SPG chains, we will award you a reward for the basic conditions. But these are two additional tankers, by the way.

The essence of the changes

  • The visual and audio components of personal combat missions have been completely reworked.
  • Added brand new and unique rewards.
  • Revised mission conditions so that the main reward for an operation is always relevant to the player.
  • Added "Order Forms", which will greatly facilitate the implementation of personal combat missions.

Interface and sound

- Redesigned all interfaces of personal combat missions:

1. Changed the entry point to personal combat missions: now it is located on top panel Hangar under the button "Battle!" and is called "Campaigns";
2. Added the "General Staff" screen with a map of all operations;

A new way to get reward vehicles

"Award sheets" have been removed, replaced by "Components" of the machine:

1. To get a reward vehicle for an operation, you need to collect all 5 components: hull, chassis, gun, power plant and radio station;
2. Each component has its own branch of tasks in the operation:
a) Powerplant - a branch of tasks for light tanks;
b) Suspension - a branch of tasks for medium tanks;
c) Hull (+ turret or wheelhouse) - a branch of tasks for heavy tanks;
d) Weapon - mission tree for tank destroyers;
e) Radio station - a branch of tasks for ACS.
3. To get the component, you need to complete the final fifteenth task in the corresponding branch.

Order forms

Added a new entity "Order Forms":

1. To earn an order form, you must complete any final task of any branch with honors;
2. Forms of the order can be laid (that is, applied) in any task. Thus:
a) The selected task will be automatically considered completed without distinction;
b) You will receive a reward for the main conditions of the problem;
c) The spent order form will remain included in the task;
d) The pledged order form does not disappear, but is temporarily frozen until you take it back.
3. To pick up the pledged order form, it is necessary to complete the task in which it is pledged, with honors. This way you get your order form back and can reuse it.
4. The number of order forms required to be included in the tasks:
a) For any task from 1 to 14 - 1 order form;
b) In task 15 - 4 order forms.

To summarize, order forms can be used to skip difficult or uninteresting tasks. And most importantly, you can add order forms to the final fifteenth task in the branch, even if you haven't completed the previous 14 tasks yet. This way, you can instantly get the 5th missing vehicle component by completing 4 challenge branches with honors.

New awards

1. Added a new reward - stripes:
a) In each operation, you can earn 2 stripes:
* A badge of the II degree is issued simultaneously with the receipt of the award car;
* I grade badge is awarded for completing with honors all 75 tasks of a particular operation.
b) For completing all tasks in all operations, you will receive a special unique badge "Champion of the I Campaign"
2. Added a new reward - camouflage schemes:
a) In each operation, you can earn a set of 3 (summer, winter, desert) unique camouflage schemes:
* A set of 3 camouflage patterns for a reward vehicle is issued for completing all 75 missions of the operation;
* The same set of schemes is unlocked for use on all vehicles of the same nation as the award vehicle for completing all 75 missions with honors.

Changing the conditions of tasks

The objectives in each operation have been revised to improve relevance main award... For example, now all missions from Operation StuG IV can be completed on Tier V vehicles, from Operation T28 Heavy Tank Concept - on VII level etc. At the same time, the restrictions on participation have not changed. You can complete the tasks of any operation, even at Tier X.

We also made additional conditions more varied in the final fifteenth tasks of each branch. This is due to the fact that the additional reward for the tasks completing the branches has become more valuable: now there are Order Forms there.

Note! If, according to the condition of the task, you need, for example, to detect 5 vehicles in a battle, and you have found 7 - obviously, the task will be successfully completed. This rule is true for all numeric conditions.

Booms and medals

Starting from 9.20.1, when receiving a medal from the Epic Achievements and Battle Heroes categories, the player will receive additional bonuses. Bonds will not be awarded for cumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and can be changed.

Improvements for the "Training Ground" mode

Training ground

Added functionality for beginners and players who want to improve their skills - "Training Range", which will replace the existing in the game "Combat Training". Briefing at the training ground will tell you about the main nuances of the game: vehicle management, victory conditions in a battle, detection of vehicle penetration zones, operation of the visibility system, purchase and improvement of equipment, crew management, equipment and equipment. For beginners, the mode will be available when you first enter the game, and for experienced players - in the menu by pressing the Esc button.

Fortifications

In the Stronghold, the room commander in Offensive has the ability to indicate the direction of movement of forces on the minimap even before the battle with mouse clicks. All players in the battle room will see these instructions.

Balancer changes

  • Balance within one level. Within one level, the number of imbalances in the number of light tanks, tank destroyers, self-propelled guns and platoons will be reduced. For example, there will be fewer battles where one team has light tanks at the top and the other at the bottom of the list.
  • Added the ability to invite SPGs to a platoon (but not more than one unit).
  • Changed the sorting of vehicles (within the same level) in the players' panels by class. New order: heavy tanks, medium tanks, tank destroyers, light tanks, self-propelled guns. Within one type, the technique is sorted alphabetically.

Stun mechanic changes

  • Added convenient drawing of the allied artillery sight marker over objects and bridges.
  • The damage inflicted by allies with the help of artillery against a stunned enemy is now included in the calculation of the distinctive marks on the weapon. Now this damage is also taken into account, as well as damage to a downed track or damage from intelligence, as well as damage inflicted directly on the enemy vehicle.
  • The conditions for receiving the "Horus Medal" award have been changed:
  1. Added a lower damage limit of 2000 units.
  2. The upper limit on damage has been reduced: now it is enough to inflict damage that is 8 times higher than the value of your vehicle's hit points (before, you needed 10 times more).
  • Added the ability to separately configure the display of aggregate damage tapes for a stunned target in the information settings in battle.
  • Changed camera settings in the alternative aiming mode (view from the trajectory). Reduced the sensitivity of the camera to small irregularities.
  • Increased by 20% the gain of experience and credits for dealing damage to stunned vehicles.

Finalization and updating of the female voice-over of the crew

  • The Chinese female voice acting has been completely re-recorded with a new voice and the required dialect.
  • The female voice acting of the USSR has been updated. Some phrases have been rewritten.
  • Due to popular demand from players, the walkie-talkie effect for female voice acting has been redesigned. Now the girls' voice will sound clearer and more accented.

The update is available for download and upload. The launcher will download: 715 MB for the SD client and an additional 288 MB for the HD client.

Update 9.19.1 comes out on July 11 and contains a number of innovations and improvements. We made many of them based on your suggestions from the 9.18 update. In recent publications, we talked about changes to the balancer, new combat training, as well as changes in the conditions of the LBZ. Server unavailability

World of Tanks servers will be unavailable July 11 from 3:00 to 10:00 (MSK) due to the release of the update. Also, the clan portal will be unavailable within the specified time frame.

Premium account and compensation

Balancer

Two months after the release of Update 9.18, the balancer will receive the first edits based on your feedback and data collected. Many of you expressed a lack of understanding why SPGs could not play in a platoon. But we can explain what caused the ban at that moment. This limitation was implemented as a temporary measure necessary to assess the impact of global changes in the type of ACS vehicles on the overall gameplay. After analyzing the data, we return the SPG to the ability to play in a platoon, however, with the limitation of one vehicle of this type per platoon.

Update 9.19.1 will also introduce changes to the lists of teams (the so-called "ears"), and vehicles will be displayed by type. Now the balancer will take into account the number of tank destroyers, light tanks, self-propelled guns and platoon players at each level.

Training ground

Good news for those who have just joined the game, want to brush up on their knowledge or invite friends to the game! In Update 9.19.1, Combat Training will be restarted in the Training Range format. The tutorial will introduce the player step by step to the Hangar interface and explain tactics and maneuvers for different maps and situations. At each stage, players will receive the most relevant information.
