I must say that the trailers were deceiving: I thought that the third part would most of all resemble Lost Planet, and it's clear why. Everywhere was footage from a snowy planet, where Isaac in a bulky suit battles against huge cockroaches. Yes, there are severe frosts, and this is where the game begins.

But it turns out that all this is just a small part of what was actually offered. Visceral Games this time. Having overcome the long introduction, you understand that only to the third part "Dead space" developed into a full-fledged sci-fi story, where there is a place not only for mutants and corridors space stations but also human factors. In games in which the camera, for example, is like an autonomous republic that lives according to its own, completely detached from reality, rules, while not succumbing to any laws of physics, constantly clinging to the most idiotic places in terms of view, or in games when you only dream that the camera would not be under your control. But in this case, no other word like piz * ets you can't name it. Because in a game where the main aspect for survival is (albeit not doing a headshot), but only shoot off limbs, aiming at the force and preparing to fire, the mouse, as if mocking at you, says “ E-nah, bro, I'll turn a couple of centimeters to the right, so that life doesn't seem sweet to you”And of course you miss, which is what the necromorph actually uses, trying to tear you apart. What further passage can we talk about after this? In the short time that I played it, I saw everything that is inherent in an excellent horror - an eerie dark atmosphere, suspicious dumb sounds, and a cloud of monsters. Although, with the latter, everything was the other way around. Because " counter"Games, precisely in terms of horror, had a share expectations... The expectation that you are about to be attacked, but it did not happen. And when you catch yourself thinking that “ Something nobody tried to kill me for a long time"And you think that the monsters will soon crawl, but all of them are not there - this is part of the expectation. After all, exactly at that moment when you have already relaxed after the next puzzle (which, by the way, was quite cool in the game) and peacefully go to hand over the task - monsters attack you sharply and without warning, which is terribly frightening. In the idea, implementation and the like, the game turned out to be at the highest level and immediately grabbed a lot of fans. The game is just candy (except for the dumb control port). Yes, the scary moments in the game have become several times less, but at least they have not disappeared altogether. A striking example of this was the moment when, passing through one of the blocks, a fire extinguishing system suddenly works, or in a dark room, passing through which the TV was turned on, showing the whole picture in the room. Honestly, it landed me, and I had a desire purely out of principle to put the entire clip from the cutter into it, it's good that by that time it was not there yet. There are much more monsters in the game, which added action to the game. I often heard from my friends who went through the first part that “ there are not many monsters in the game". And how surprised I was the very first level, where we had to run away from the necromorphs in a straitjacket, where they were, it was just quintessence, as if all the monsters from the first part were brought together and thrown to the first level in the game. The main character of the game, by the way, was the protagonist of the first part - Isaac, who probably thought that “ stop mowing" under Gordon Freeman and in the second part of the game, he - spoke, maybe this is due to the fact that his helmet was finally demolished, on which the aspect of horror in the game is built. But do not forget about the atmosphere of the first part, which was transferred into this one. What is only one of the most dumb moments in the game - return to Ishimura... Seriously, wandering aboard the ship, I listened to every rustle, and for good reason - because as in the first part, the necromorphs had the audacity to appear out of nowhere and unexpectedly. The game is not devoid of epic and funny moments, remember at least a trip on the hood of a drilling machine, or extracting information about the Obelisk from the eye. As for the weapons, I can't say anything, they were cool, but by the end of the game I gave preference to ripping off the limbs of the necromorphs (I called them - ragulin) and using kinesis- throw them at the remaining monsters. It was also fun to watch how Isaac dies in many ways. In my opinion, the second part is made very high quality, and deservedly can be called continuation of a very cool game.

Dead Space: Chapter III.

Let's move on to the third and the last game in the series. To tell you the truth, like many, I expected from the third part more than another third-person shooter inspired by mass demand for this kind of products. Reading reviews and just comments from many people, I realized that most of the fans stayed, to put it mildly " dissatisfied"By what the game has become. But not everything is so bad about it. In the third part, it became possible to create own weapon that you will agree, it was a dream of many for a very long time. Of course, who didn’t want to make something of their own, a weapon of unprecedented power that could be taken straight from the machine and stomped on the training ground, tested on necromorphs? I wanted something like that, and there were enough goals. Because if you thought that there were a lot of monsters in the second part, guys, wait, you haven't seen the third part yet. Personally, I was very stressed by the fact that when you pass additional task and you already see your prize, you understand by the edge of your brain - well it will start now, and at first it is very delivering and fun, but when you go through most of the game, you just get tired of killing necromorphs. You see, when your eyes are already dazzling from the number of corpses and severed limbs at the location, while you have few cartridges left, and these bastards all climb and climb, and they have no end and edge, you must agree - this is already starting to enrage. One of the flaws in the game was that cartridges now one for all types of weapons. You see, there was something funny about how in the second part we carefully referred to cartridges for one, powerful weapon, saying to themselves “ I will not use it now, suddenly it will come in handy more.". And here you can shoot from a machine gun, after which, pull out the clip, insert it into the flamethrower and go on to bring down countless monsters. This is a bit dull. The game also made sense to collect relics, because after collecting one complete set, we opened up unique knots(upgrade modules) for crafting weapons. And I also noticed a tendency that if somehow, in the game there is a mention of Shepard from Mass effect, or worse - the semblance of his armor - that's it, there is no point in going through the game, because in the end the hero for whom we f * cked to survive - will die anyway, or his fate will remain unknown.

Yes, in spite of everything, good or bad, that I have spun in this article, I could not help catching myself thinking that I would like to play part 4 with pleasure. Yes, the third part received lower marks than the two predecessors, but we, the fans, know why. I hope that when the fourth part comes out.
