The M4A3E8 Sherman Fury tank will be added to the tank battle simulator. "Rage": when tanks are equal to actors Which tank was furious

Hello friends!
As you well know, until November 17, 2014 in the WorldOfTanks premium store there will be a special bundle with the American premium Tier VI M4A3E8 Sherman tank Fury... The model of the tank is made in high definition and differs from the investigated analogue in a unique appearance, and the M4A3E8 Sherman itself Fury has all the advantages of premium technology. Finally, the M4A3E8 Sherman Fury comes with a 100% trained crew. The minimum cost of a set is 25 US $.

If you wish, I accept your thanks.

Maybe I'll buy a Fury ...

Anton Logvinov recently watched the new movie "Fury" with Brad Pitt, his impressions in the video.

Andrey Palladin on the portal karopka.ru published photos of his assembled model tank M4A3 Sherman - this model is used in the film "Fury"

Exhibiting a model of the most famous "americos" of the Second World War. According to the whale - "dragon" he is "dragon". Metal barrel, a little etching. The assembly is "out of the box". Since the differences between the Shermans were minimal, I didn’t go into the materiel. In short, I was resting. Painting enamel "tamiya", "chemistry" MiGa, akana and master pigment.

Tankers!

Any World player of Tanks knows the Sherman is a whole line of American medium tanks V-VI levels... And discussions and controversies around the heavy German Tiger tank, which is "registered" on VII level never subside. These vehicles are rightfully considered one of the most popular and recognizable tanks of the Second World War. After the legendary Soviet, of course.

A lot of virtual tankers have pumped these vehicles in order to personally test them in battle. And after the game comes interest in the history of the creation and combat use of your favorite equipment. Soon, all fans of combat vehicles will have the opportunity to take a fresh look at the already good famous tanks: October 30 the film "Fury" will be released in cinemas. And the tanks in this film are stars of no less magnitude than the eminent actors playing the crew members. Let's jump over to the set of Rage for a couple of minutes and see what this movie is going to be like.

Anamorphic lens used for filming movies in anamorphic format. The lens system in such a lens covers a wide panorama of the image in one frame. An interesting fact: the anamorphic system was first used in tank observation devices. With its help, the tank commander was able to see 180 degrees horizontally.

The meticulous approach of Rage director David Eyre and the production team goes beyond the lenses used. The filmmakers really paid attention to the tanks: here they are real... Even mock-ups of equipment intended for destruction are assembled from metal and in compliance with the details. There is no free space on the walls in the Rage film studios, in the corridors and lounges: everything is pasted over with diagrams, historical and technical materials, posters and photographs. This instills confidence that the filmmakers have a good understanding of what a tank is and that viewers will enjoy truly historic tank battles on a wide screen.

Where does this information come from? You can learn about what is happening on the sets of Pinewood Studios, what exploding tanks are made of and what books David Eyre reads, can be found in the Russian version of the photo report by Nicholas Moran, the host of the famous program "In the command room". You will find a report under the spoiler at the end of this news.

A common man in a big war

The historical and technical aspects of the picture definitely do not disappoint, but a tank without a crew is just a useless mechanism. Despite its particular attention to technical detail, Rage will be a film about a common man in a big war. Will David Eyre and the "Rage" cast be able to convey in detail the lives of the tankers, their characters, difficulties and all the tension that could either "break" a fighter or strengthen his spirit?

The soldier, tanker, pilot and sailor had no time to think about big politics. All of them had to solve much more prosaic questions: how to survive, where to refuel and eat, how to violate their moral principles and kill the enemy, and then how to live with it.

"Lebanon", "Sahara" (1943 and 1995), "Brothers in Arms", "Saving Private Ryan", "Apocalypse Now", "Platoon" ... Let's hope that this list of classics of foreign war films will be added one name is "Rage".

"Tiger" from Bovington

Ironically portray "Tiger" in cinema several times happened to the "disguised" Soviet T-34. He was carefully disguised as german tank, but the eye of the connoisseur has always revealed a fake."Rage" is one of the few films where a real model "plays" the role of the Tiger tank. Moreover, today this is the world's only serviceable Tiger on the go ... It is not yet known what impact this German car will have on the events of the film, but something about its real fate can be found out now.

There is a long history behind this tank, which brought it from the assembly shop of the Henschel plant to the exhibition. Bovington Tank Museum... This Tiger (tail number 131)was manufactured in February 1943 and sent to the 504th heavy tank battalion, which at that time was fighting in Africa. Between March 12 and April 16, 1943, the tank arrived in Tunisia.

Fortunately for the allies, the combat history of this "Tiger" was not very long: on April 21, 1943, in a battle with the Churchill tanks of the 48th Royal Tank Regiment, it was disabled and captured. The trophy car was inspected by Winston Churchill on June 2, 1943, and by His Majesty King George VI on the 18th of the same month.

In October 43rd "Tiger" was delivered to Glasgow, participated in one of the parades in London, after which it was sent for technical examination. The tank was officially handed over to the Bovington Museum on September 25, 1951, and has since become one of the most popular and impressive pieces in the collection.

In June 1990, it was decided to completely restore the tank. "Tiger" literally sorted out on a screw, from the rollers to the tower. Museum staff cleaned every detail from dirt and rust, which, fortunately, turned out to be shallow. But that was only half the battle... The missing pieces of equipment, especially from the frontal part of the tank, were of great difficulty in recovery. Many parts were restored, only obvious combat damage was not repaired. The museum workers did a great job: almost everything that is placed on the tank is real. Perhaps the only non-original detail is the cables. Unfortunately, the telescopic exhaust pipe, designed for crossing water obstacles, disappeared even before the tank was handed over to the museum.

But all these worries can be considered minor in comparison with the need to install a different engine on the tank. "Native" factory Maybach HL210 the museum workers could not find it, but the engine taken from the Tiger II was availableHL230P30 V-12 ... The capabilities of the Bovington Museum were no longer sufficient to meet this challenge. The museum received additional funding, and the company continued work on the tank.ABRO(Army Base Repair Organization).

This final step in the restoration of the "Tiger" was delayed, and it did not go smoothly.During a test run in the body of the tank, the engine exploded, damaged the crankshaft and left a hole in the sump.... After extensive research and repairs, the engine was tested again and this time it damaged the oil seal. And yet, at the end of 2003, the work was completed: the sixty-year-old tank started up and came to the museum on its own.

Note! A detailed process of restoring the Tiger tank with exclusive photos can be seen on the official website (on English language) dedicated to this tank.

Filming "Rage": a look from the inside

The host of the show "In the Command Room" Nicholas Moran visited the set of the film "Fury". Find out what impressions Nicholas left after the visit, what atmosphere reigns on the set and what the director of the film is reading!

The Sherman Fury is a Tier VI US premium tank. He appeared in the game in honor of the premiere of the movie "Fury", the protagonist of which is the M4A3E8 Sherman named Fury. In the game, he is an exact copy of the original from the film: the model is made in HD quality with many small details, and the tank's barrel is decorated with an inscription with his nickname.

Fury is not available for purchase for gold through the game interface and only occasionally appears on sale through the Premium Shop.

We hope this article will help you get a complete picture of the Fury. In it, we will objectively consider the tank from the point of view gameplay, let's figure out why it is better or worse than the usual "Sherman" and try to find the most optimal tactics for random battles.

Analysis of the characteristics of the tank

Fury is special version M4A3E8, known among the players as "Mchazev" or "Mazai". The main difference is in driving performance: Fury is inferior to the pumped analogue in mobility. However, it cannot be called slow. On medium soils, the tank confidently accelerates and holds its 40 km / h, which is quite enough for comfortable movement across the battlefield and a carousel against clumsy TT and PT. Certain difficulties cause steep climbs, as in Westfield and El Halluf, therefore, in order not to become an easy target for the enemy, all movements around the battlefield should be thought out in advance.

Cannon Fury is exactly the same as the top-end M4A3E8, which is certainly the most strong point tank. Excellent DPM allows you to quickly deal with opponents of your level. Reloading with a rammer takes less than three seconds, which allows you to respond with two to three shots for each enemy shot. In battles of Tier VI and VII, there is enough armor penetration, but against enemies of Tier VIII you have to load sub-caliber ammunition. The accuracy of the gun is acceptable, the aiming speed is fast. Corners vertical guidance comfortable: the gun is lowered down by 10 degrees. It is possible to install a stabilizer.

Ammunition has 71 shells. This amount is quite enough for any battle, if you do not waste the shells in vain. Considering that Fury gets into Tier VIII battles, it is recommended to carry 10-20 APC ammunition with you.

Security Fury is low. Even the gun mantlet and the hull's forehead do not protect against enemy fire, and the thin high sides are very vulnerable to land mines and small-caliber guns. Under no circumstances should the sides be substituted, since their penetration often leads to damage to the ammunition rack. However, here you need to understand: playing on a medium tank, you don't have to rely on armor. Use cover and armored allies, roll out for a shot only when the enemy cannot respond. It is possible to trade for Fury, but, as a rule, this undertaking turns out to be disastrous: even if you shoot the enemy and take away the frag, the safety margin and equipment for the remaining battle may not be enough.

Overview Fury has a good one - 370 meters. With the installed optics and a pumped-up crew, the tank gains a tangible advantage over the blind Soviet "heavy" forces, which are one of the most common opponents. The silhouette of the Sherman is high enough, but masking rate average. If you play carefully, you can stay out of the light for a long time.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the Fury is a premium tank and has all the related benefits:

  • increased profitability;
  • increased experience coefficient for each battle;
  • 50% faster growth of crew skills;
  • the possibility of transferring the crew from the same type of equipment without fines and the need for retraining.

Farming Fury is good. If you do not get carried away with sub-caliber shells, then on average about 20 thousand "clean" credits go out per battle. If the material side of the matter does not really bother you, then it makes sense to carry more premium ammunition. This will allow you to deal more damage in battle and, accordingly, get more experience and credits. However, almost all credits earned in such battles are spent on replenishing the ammunition load. But the experience remains. This is especially noticeable in the crew, which swings very quickly. And this is perhaps the main premium advantage of the Fury.

Equipment

Fans of sniper tactics can be advised to replace Stabilizer on the Improved ventilation, a Optics on the Stereo tube... Benefit from Reinforced drives aiming on this tank is not perceptible.

Skills and abilities

Essential skills are Sixth Sense and Repair... It is also recommended to pump Disguise, Sniper, King of the off-road and Radio interception... As an alternative to custom perks, you can choose The Brotherhood of War... In this case, the Stabilizer should be replaced with Improved Ventilation.

Combat use

The choice of tactics is mainly determined by the level of the battle. The battle “in the top” and the battle against Tier VIII tanks are fundamentally different. In Tier VI battles, the most common opponents are Soviet heavy tanks. It is highly discouraged to enter a head-to-head duel with them. It is much better to keep them at a long distance, and even better to lure them out into the open and shoot them in cold blood. Thanks to its superior visibility and excellent DPM, Fury can deal with such a target in just a couple of tens of seconds. The enemy either does not have time to detect us, or does it too late.

Explore appearance tanks KV-1, KV-1S, KV-85 and T-150 with different guns or look at how often the enemy shoots. So you can estimate the rate of fire of the enemy and calculate how many times you can shoot at him with impunity.

Also common opponents are the Hellcat and the T-34-85. Fury easily copes with each of them one-on-one, but, as noted above, trading is not recommended. Use cover and try to attack the enemy unexpectedly or at the moment when he is involved in a fight with your allies. When attacking the side and stern, try to hit the engine and tanks with precision: often 3-4 accurate hits in a row are enough to set fire to an enemy, including a high-level one.

At Tier VII, you can find two of the most dangerous enemies. We are not talking about heavy tanks, encounters with which can be easily avoided, but about the nimble and deadly E-25 and SU-122-44 "prems". The Flea, with its excellent accuracy and monstrous rate of fire, is capable of turning the Fury into a sieve very quickly. In addition, she very quickly moves across the battlefield and often attacks from an ambush. "Drying" is no less dangerous: it is difficult to pierce it in the forehead, but it is capable of destroying the Sherman with just two shots. In order not to become their victim, proceed carefully, stay close to your allies. If a collision cannot be avoided, try to knock down the caterpillar with it and go into the stern.

In Tier VIII battles, you must exercise the utmost care. At the beginning of the battle, it is best not to rush and observe the departure of the teams. Then tackle firefly interception and long-range shooting. Further, according to the situation: either help the allies in the offensive, or stay in defense. In both cases, the main thing is to act deliberately and not take unnecessary risks. There is no sense in a destroyed tank, while at the end of the battle every vehicle is dear. From one successful shot or illumination, the outcome of the battle can be decided. And this is not to mention the capture or defense of the base.

Fury in sorties / medium companies

Separately, it should be said about the high combat potential of the Fury in sorties / medium companies. Of course, the Sherman cannot fly the map in rush setups like the Cromwell or the T37, but it has two key advantages that make it a very valuable teammate in a classic setup. Firstly, this is DPM, which allows you to quickly deal with single enemies or stop a rush by firing from a prepared position. Secondly, good overview: in the right place with a stereo tube, the tank can control several directions at once. There are also other advantages: good high-explosive devices, a considerable margin of safety, compared to the same Hellcat, and the frontal armor is not penetrated by land mines, as in the "Witch".

Fury works best in conjunction with Soviet heavy tanks: he can highlight targets for them, play from UVN where they cannot, keep opponents on a track, or, in the end, take damage if all allies are already "shot".

Of course, making an entire team of Shermans is pointless, but if you are collecting an average outing, then keep in mind that in the current realities of the Fury is quite suitable.

conclusions

Before summing up the general conclusion, let's outline all the advantages and disadvantages of the Fury tank:

Advantages:

  • excellent weapon with excellent damage per minute;
  • general balance and comfort of the game, the absence of pronounced shortcomings;
  • solid ammunition;
  • optimal crew composition of 5 people;
  • premium benefits, the main one of which is accelerated crew training;
  • exclusivity, unique appearance.

Flaws:

  • low dynamics by ST standards;
  • weak booking;
  • vulnerability of the ammunition rack, engine and crew members;
  • high priority for opponents.

Based on this list, we can conclude that the tank is very good. Essentially, there are two key disadvantages: poor mobility and insufficient security. In fairness, it should be noted that at Tier VI, very few people can boast of good armor. On the other hand, getting penetrations from Tier IV light tanks, just like taking damage from hitting a mask, is very unpleasant.

Thus, the Fury is a classic American medium tank in terms of its overall set of characteristics, with a good cannon, medium mobility, and low armor. If you like the US ST, then the Fury will surely be to your liking. And the appearance of the tank is absolutely delightful: it is clear that the HD model was made with love.

It is important that the benefits of a tank are not only aesthetic. He can really pull fights. You just need to go to the appropriate section of wotreplays.ru and see for yourself.

Good day and welcome to the site! Friends, today our guest is one of the most beautiful and unique tanks in the game, designed so well that it can be viewed for hours - this is the M4A3E8 Fury guide.

As many people know, this is a premium Tier 6 US medium tank that is very similar to its upgradeable sibling, the M4A3E8 Sherman. But the most interesting fact it will be that our M4A3E8 Fury World of Tanks is an exact prototype of the machine from the movie "Fury", perhaps that is why it is so beautiful.

Unfortunately, you can't buy the M4A3E8 Fury right now, but it might be possible to get it in your hangar someday and you shouldn't miss this opportunity.

TTX M4A3E8 Fury

Before proceeding to a detailed examination of the most important parameters, it is worth saying that this unit has a standard margin of safety for its level and a good basic view of 370 meters.

If we consider the M4A3E8 Fury's survivability characteristics, namely, the armor, then we have it weak, even in comparison with the pumped brother. The strongest place is the forehead of the tower, due to the large gun mantlet and this element is able to periodically repel enemy shells.

Otherwise, both the frontal armor of the hull and the sides and stern do not provide good protection and you need to play carefully on the M4A3E8 Fury World of Tanks.

The situation with weak armor is exacerbated by the non-preferential level of battles, and more importantly, the mediocre mobility. At our disposal is not a very high top speed, but the greatest discomfort is delivered by the limited dynamics. However, even so, the M4A3E8 Fury WoT tank cannot be called slow, but rather tight. But with maneuverability, everything is in order and we are moving around in place quite briskly.

Cannon

With weapons, the situation is no less interesting. The tank is equipped with a 76 mm cannon, which has not very high armor penetration parameters for the base round and a rather weak alpha-strike. However, the rate of fire is such that the M4A3E8 Fury cannon is capable of delivering about 2100 damage per minute, excluding equipment, which is very good.

The situation with accuracy is somewhat worse, but only due to the fact that our gun has a large spread. For the rest there is good time information, decent stabilization and rolling out the M4A3E8 Fury medium tank into battle, there is no discomfort. By the way, the elevation angles, although worse than those of the pumped Sherman, are also very comfortable, which is good news.

Advantages and disadvantages

As is customary in our favorite game and as you yourself may have noticed from the analysis of the M4A3E8 Fury TTX, premium vehicles should be inferior to pumped ones. Thus, this unit has a fairly large number weaknesses, but it is not devoid of pluses, to make sure of this, we will break everything point by point.

Pros:
Good damage per minute;
Comfortable elevation angles;
Decent agility;
Fast mixing and good stabilization;
Standard, but not bad review.
Minuses:
Weak alpha-strike;
Small armor penetration;
Bad booking;
Large silhouette;
Mediocre mobility;
Not a preferential level of fights.

Equipment for M4A3E8 Fury

In order to significantly enhance your combat vehicle and it was more comfortable for you to play, for any tank, including the M4A3E8 Fury, equipment must be chosen correctly, because this aspect plays a huge role in battle:
1. - allows us to increase our damage per minute by about 400-450 units, a rather significant bonus.
2. - due to the large spread of our cannon, this option comes in handy, besides, it has a positive effect on stabilization.
3. - we have a fairly mobile medium tank at our disposal and the increased visibility will give you a serious advantage in some situations.

As you might have guessed, there is a very good replacement for the third point -. This module is designed to give a massive boost to characteristics and increase such important parameters as DPM, visibility, aiming speed, and more.

Crew training

Another extremely serious point, perhaps even more important than the choice of equipment, is to properly pump crew perks on the M4A3E8 Fury. The fact is that training a crew is a serious investment of time and if you choose the wrong path of development, this will not only negatively affect the efficiency of your car, but will also lead to even greater loss of time. Thus, skills are learned in the following sequence:
Commander -,,,.
Gunner -,,,.
Driver mechanic - , , , .
Radio operator -,,,.
Charger -,,,.

Equipment for M4A3E8 Fury

The situation with consumables will be more than standard. If you are going to farm on this site and the issue of spending silver credits is especially acute for you, you can carry equipment in the form of, and. But when there are no problems with reserves of gold or silver, it is more advisable to take,, because this way you significantly increase the survival rate of soybeans. By the way, we rarely burn and the fire extinguisher can be replaced with.

M4A3E8 Fury tactics

We have a relatively strong car in our hands, and in order to play it as efficiently as possible, we need to learn how to use all the advantages in combination and try to neutralize the disadvantages.

So, on the M4A3E8 Fury, the tactic of fighting is to stick to the second lane, since we don't have enough armor for close combat, and when firing at long distances, there will be a lack of accuracy and armor penetration.

The best option would be to take a comfortable position at the beginning of the battle, from which you will open a good chamber, but you will be hidden from enemy tanks and artillery, and there will also be escape routes. In such realities, the US medium tank M4A3E8 Fury is able to efficiently implement its DPM and retain precious health points.

However, you cannot stay in one place for a long time, since the position may lose its relevance, or the enemy will simply understand where you are. The M4A3E8 Fury WoT tank has enough mobility to change flanks, support allies in different directions, or go back to defend the base.

At the same time, the M4A3E8 Fury World of Tanks is good tank support. Standing behind the backs of your allies, help them cope with the enemy onslaught and push through directions, not forgetting to look at the mini-map. This vehicle also plays well with the terrain, thanks to its good depression angles, besides, the gun mantlet is capable of taking a blow and this tactic is good when you are faced with the enemy one-on-one.

To summarize, I want to say that the M4A3E8 Fury is worth taking if you have the opportunity, but because this tank is very strong or farms better than others, but rather for a collection, because it is incredibly beautiful and rare.
