Location "Fortress": a complete guide to development, management

Liked our site? Your reposts and ratings are the best praise for us!

Garrisons in WOW- one of the innovations introduced in the supplement. This guide contains everything that we are on this moment we know about the garrisons. In the process of building a garrison, you will have to fight the Iron Horde, hire several allies, give them missions and get worthy rewards. With the development of buildings, you will also receive bonuses for the character. The garrison is the center of events throughout the expansion.

In addition to general guides, on our website you can find a guide for each of the buildings of the Garrison: , , , .

We recommend using the addon. Master plan- this is the best addon for managing the garrison at the moment. The addon can be found and downloaded. For convenient mission management, we recommend using the addon Garrison Mission Manager. You can find and download it.

With the help of the garrison, you can get many rewards (for example, pets, mounts, toys, transmog items). All of these will be listed below.

Changes in patch 6.1

The main change in update 6.1 is as follows. By building a level 3 Town Hall, you can take various quests one of 5 visitors. Quests can be related to dungeons, raids, treasure hunts, excavations, or professions.

  • Dungeons: Daily quests in the dungeons require you to kill last boss. As a reward, you will receive a bag that can contain a level 630, 645, or 655 item.
  • Raid: Raid quests can only be completed once a week. As a reward, you will receive a bag that can contain an item of level 645 or 655.
  • Treasure Hunt: Such quests are designed for 3 or more players and require defeating a named (elite) mob. As a reward, you will receive an Apexis Crystal bag, which can also contain a level 645 or 655 item.
  • Excavations: The dig quest can be obtained from Harrison Jones when he visits your garrison. There are 6 different quests, and as a reward you will receive a bag of Apexis Crystals, which can also contain a level 645 or 655 item. After completing the quest, you open the corresponding mission for your associates. Completing all 6 quests will unlock the Master Relic Hunter achievement, which is required for Don't Call Me Junior with the Harrison Jones Companion reward (the second component is the Master Explorer).
  • Professions: Professional quests are designed to exchange ordinary reagents (ores, herbs, dust, etc.) for Primal Spirit or special reagents (Mechanism Parts, Alchemical Catalyst, etc.)

By completing new quests (except for professional ones), you can get items that allow you to summon one of 6 new bosses to your garrison. summoned boss designed for 10-40 players, and its health depends on the size of the raid participating in the battle. Bosses and items required for summoning:

  • - Dungeon of the Abyss;
  • - Bloodied banner of the Iron Horde;
  • - Large rune stone;
  • - Lighthouse of the Legion;
  • - Arcane Relic of the Highmaul;
  • - Oak Heart.

After defeating all the bosses, you will receive the achievement Commander and Commander.

needed for:

  • construction of buildings;
  • distributing missions to allies (some missions have resources as a reward, but there are not many of them, so you should not count on it);
  • purchases of crafting reagents in the Trade Shop;
  • placing orders at the Dwarven Bunker / Military Factory.

Garrison resources can be obtained:

  • from the chest that will stand next to the town hall after completing the tutorial quests (1 unit of resources every 10 minutes, maximum - 500 units);
  • in orders at the Sawmill, (120 units of resources per day);
  • in orders in the Trading Post, (120 units of resources per day);
  • as a reward for quests in the garrison (most of them are given only once);
  • as loot from mobs on Draenor.

If you rely only on the chest, you can get 144 Garrison Resources daily. If you fulfill orders with the Sawmill or the Trading Post, this amount increases to 264 units. If you complete orders in both buildings, you can get 384 food. Upgrading a garrison to the third (maximum) level will cost a little more than 12,000 units. resources, i.e. this will take at least a month.

2.1. Garrison Return Stone

One of the important items associated with the garrison is the Stone of Return to the Garrison, which allows you to quickly teleport to the garrison. This item has its own cooldown, which is different from the cooldown of a normal return stone. In this way, you can make the quest location your home, and then move to the garrison if necessary. If you lose a Garrison Return Stone, speak to the Innkeeper at the Town Hall to get a new one.

3. Garrison Buildings

There are 20 buildings that can be built in the garrison: 10 small, 5 medium and 5 large. The size of a building does not determine its power or usefulness. The garrison has several foundations of various sizes. A small building can only be built on a small foundation, a medium building on a medium one, and a large building on a large one. This means that players are limited in their choice and cannot build only small or only large buildings. You can build and change buildings using the architect's table, which is located in the town hall. By default, each building is level 1, but you can upgrade it to the second or third level, unlocking new bonuses.

You cannot destroy an erected building, but you can replace it with another building of the same size. To do this, use the architect's table and drag the icon of the new building onto the old building.

As soon as the garrison is built, it will already have a town hall of the first level and two foundations: a large one (already occupied by barracks) and a small one. By leveling up the town hall, you will unlock more foundations:

  • Level 1: 1 small and 1 large foundation;
  • Level 2: 2 small, 1 medium and 1 large foundation;
  • Level 3: 3 small, 2 medium and 2 large foundations.

Upgrading the town hall to the second level costs 200 x Garrison Resources and is done automatically when you complete the quest Better Bigger, Better (Alliance) or (Horde). Both quests require most of the quests to be completed in your faction's starting location. On beta servers, these quests often changed (for the Alliance) or were heavily bugged (for the Horde). As soon as we receive new information, this section will be updated.

Upgrading the town hall to the second level requires character level 92, but the quest can be taken in advance.

Upgrading the town hall to the third level costs 2000 x Garrison Resources and is carried out automatically when completing the quest My own castle (Alliance) or My own stronghold (Horde). Both quests can be taken in the garrison immediately after reaching level 100.

3.1. Building guides

We have written a series of guides for all buildings. The table below contains all links to guides and short description buildings. If you want to learn how to quickly unlock level 3 buildings, read our. There are no additional restrictions for the construction of buildings of the first level, however, drawings will be required for further pumping. Some blueprints can only be purchased after obtaining all the necessary achievements.

3.1.4. Special buildings

Special buildings cannot be erected, they can only be improved. They do not occupy a foundation and appear when you upgrade the town hall (for example, the Menagerie appears at the third level of the town hall, and all other special buildings at the second).

3.2. Guides for leveling professions

Garrisons are closely related to professions, so we decided to write a whole series of guides for leveling professions using a garrison.

3.3. The order of construction of buildings

The order in which buildings are built depends on your play style, but until level 100 and the town hall level three, everything is pretty standard.

3.3.1. First small building

It may seem to you that it is best to build the Scrapyard first in order to quickly equip the character and allies, but this is a bad idea. In order to receive items from the Scrapbox, the warehouse must be at least the second level. To upgrade the warehouse, you need a character level 96. By that time, you will already have a level 2 garrison and two foundations for small buildings. Therefore, we think it's best to build a building that matches your profession first, or an Enchanting Pavilion to disenchant BoP items and earn money by selling reagents (or using them to level your profession).

3.3.2. First big building

The first big building will be the Barracks, because. they will need to be built on a training quest. Once you get the first one, you will be able to purchase blueprints for the Level 2 Barracks in Ashran, upgrade your building, and hire a bodyguard to accompany you on your travels across Draenor.

In addition, you can build Stables. With Stables, you can get 1620 in 12 days, which will greatly help in the development at an early stage of construction. Stables also allow you to interact with various objects (for example, collect wood for the Sawmill) without dismounting.

3.3.3. Second small building

When choosing the second small building, still refuse the Scrapyard. The second small building is given at level 92, but in order to benefit from the warehouse, you will need level 96. Therefore, we advise you to build a second professional building.

3.3.4. First middle building

To upgrade all buildings of the garrison to the third level, you will need 12,950 Garrison Resources. If you only get resources from the chest, it will take you several months to collect the required amount (even if you do not spend resources on missions). Therefore, the first medium building should be the Sawmill. After you upgrade all the buildings to the third level, you can replace the Sawmill with another building.

3.3.5. The third level of the town hall. What to do next?

After your town hall reaches the third level, you will be able to build really useful buildings.

  • If you want to get equipment faster, build the Barracks, Dwarven Bunker/Military Factory, Inn, and Scrapyard.
  • If you plan to travel a lot in Draenor, build Barracks, Stables, Mage Tower/Spirit Hall and Gladiator's Sanctuary (speeds up resource regeneration, allows you to safely fall from heights and breathe underwater).
  • If you are into PvP, build Gnomish/Goblin Workshops and Gladiator's Shrine.
  • If you plan to quickly level up professions and earn money on them, build an inn (until you find followers with the right traits), a barn (if you have leatherworking or tailoring), trading shop(instead of a barn or inn if you no longer need them) and professional buildings.

As you can see, the possibilities are endless, the above are just some of the options for the possible development of the garrison.

3.4. Building Achievements

Below is a list of achievements related to garrison buildings.

  • Upgrade time: upgrade any building to the second level.
  • Builder: upgrade all available buildings to the second level.
  • Forward and Up: Pump any building to the third level.

  • Master Draftsman: Learn the blueprints for 40 garrison buildings.
  • Master Draftsman: Learn the blueprints for 60 garrison buildings.
  • Garrison Architect: Complete all of the above achievements.

3.5. Monuments

Your garrison has an empty stone plate, on which one of the five monuments can be placed. Monuments are given for special achievements.

  • Master of the Draenor Craft: Craft 50 epic items of at least level 600.
  • Defender of Draenor (Alliance): 5,000 honorable kills on Draenor.

  • Draenic Fur Breeder: Win 2000 pet battles on Draenor.
  • Apexis Master: Collect 100,000 Apexis Crystal.

Pictures of monuments can be viewed at MMO-Champion.

3.6. Garrison outposts in Draenor locations

You will be able to set up outposts in Gorgrond, Talador, Spiers of Arak and Nagrand while completing quests in these zones. Outposts come in two types, so you will have to make the final choice (i.e. you cannot change your mind and get the pets, mounts and toys that are given for choosing the second type of outpost). there is a detailed guide that allows you not to make a mistake in choosing.

In short, outposts give players zone buffs and bonuses, so your choice should be based on their usefulness. In the Spiers of Arak, the choice is not entirely clear. The first type of outpost gives a 20% bonus to the experience gained in this location, the second type of outpost provides access to a merchant from whom you can purchase a follower's contract and curious toys.

4. Companions and missions

Thanks to the garrison, you will be able to hire allies and. After a few hours, the indicated ally will return and bring you equipment, gold and other valuables. At any given time, you can have up to 20 active allies (25 with Level 3 Barracks). If you need new associates, you can fire some of them. If at any given time you have more than 20 active followers, you will not be able to issue missions to them. Dismissed associates can be hired again for 250g. It will take them one day to get back to their usual rhythm.

As you travel through Draenor, you will be able to recruit new allies. Some will join you as you complete quests, contracts with others can be purchased from merchants or received as rewards for completing missions. All followers that can be hired directly are immediately displayed in the corresponding window (or in the mission window, which opens by pressing the garrison button next to the mini-map).

From the interface, you can learn about all the necessary information about the comrades-in-arms: their abilities, features and ways to attract to your side. In addition, companions can be hired at the inn. There you will be able to designate the abilities and features that you need. Recruiting at the inn is very beneficial for hiring followers who cannot be recruited by normal means (for example, there were no followers with the Jewelcrafting trait on the beta servers).

What many players have been waiting for so long will finally appear in World of Warcraft. Now, as in many other MMOs, it is possible to capture other people's fortresses and defend your own. Here's what Blizzard Entertainment has to say about it Nov 09, 2013 00:29 MSK

In the Warlords of Draenor expansion, you will be able to influence the fate of the world with military camp- a personal fortress that you can build and equip yourself, and in which you will be the master. You can change the plan of your camp, it appearance and game effects, as well as hire assistants. The garrison system will allow players to own another significant part of World of Warcraft and greatly diversify the gameplay - while you can choose how much time and effort you are willing to devote to your fortress.

The military camp exists in gaming world as a separate object, but in order to visit it, you do not have to enter the portal, as when going to the dungeon. As you travel through Draenor, your camp will always be somewhere on the horizon.

And now - the details.

Companions

Companions are NPCs (Non-Player Characters) that can be recruited into service. You can send them on various missions to develop the camp or get additional trophies for your character. You can also entrust them with tasks such as collecting resources or crafting. Companions will do this regardless of whether you are in the game or not.

Companions have indicators such as level of development, item level and abilities that can be useful when completing missions or tasks. For example, if your follower is skilled in mining, you can send him to the mine of your camp to collect resources for you. Companions are common, uncommon, rare, or epic; this classification affects the number of characteristics they can have.

Attracting associates

In order to effectively manage the camp, you will first need to attract associates to it. Some will come to you on their own, and some need to be attracted, for example, with an improved tavern. As the game progresses, you will be able to gain the loyalty of new allies. Among other things, this will help you complete tasks ... or the opportunity to fork out for mercenaries.

In moments of rest from missions and tasks, comrades will always be in the camp. You can visit them at any time. One of the main goals of the war camp system is to make sure that the followers are active and keep the interest in the game. For example, if an ally fails a mission in a local dungeon, then they can be taken hostage, and the next time you find yourself there, you can save him.

Missions

Mission objectives

Companions can perform various missions. If you successfully complete them, you will receive the resources necessary for the development of the camp, but, among other things, they have the opportunity to receive wonderful trophies that will fit your character. Companions will gain experience for each completed mission.

The resources you will gather during missions include both regents for crafting and special materials for the camp. For example, if you send a follower to the mines, then, in addition to the usual ore, you can also get stone - a new type of resource from which you can build buildings (or improve them).

While Companions do great on their own, they can also be used in multiplayer. By sending a group of allies on certain missions, you will be able to combine them with your guildmate's mercenaries, even if he is currently out of the game.

Companion Development

Like your character, your companions will also develop. From levels 90 to 100, they will receive levels, which will significantly affect their abilities and the likelihood of a successful outcome of the mission. Their item level will increase as you equip them with special mercenary armor and weapons. As followers reach level 100, equipment will play a more important role in their effectiveness.

Camp and buildings in it

Building functions

Buildings are the components of your camp: stables, farms, mines, armories and much more. Thanks to them, you will be able to attract more followers, be able to assign them more complex tasks and train them more effectively. On top of all this, it will allow followers to complete missions faster and more efficiently, minimizing downtime.

Each building can be improved, which will affect its effectiveness and appearance. For example, after upgrading the barracks will increase in size and become more impressive. But not only! You will also be able to send more comrades on missions at a time (for example, with the barracks of the first level, you can send 5 mercenaries on missions at the same time, then 7, then 12 - the numbers are not final, but they give an idea).

Changing the appearance of the camp

The buildings in your military camp can be placed in different ways. You can place small buildings (mostly those related to crafting) on modest-sized lots. Larger buildings, such as barracks, simply do not fit in small areas. Large buildings can be built from the very first days of the life of the camp: even at the initial stage there is enough space for them. As the level of the military camp increases, so does the amount of space in it, and the size of the plots for building, not to mention the diversity and improved potential of buildings.

The appearance of the camps of the representatives of the Horde and the Alliance is different. You can set up camp in one of the defined zones of Draenor. You yourself draw up a plan for your camp (where the buildings will be located inside its walls) and choose what exactly you want to build. The "specialization" of buildings (details below) affects their appearance: furniture, decorations, as well as various effects that affect gameplay.

You can show off your camp to the players of your faction who are with you in a group: they will be able to enter your base, talk to your NPCs and evaluate the layout. Besides pure vanity, there is another reason to show your camp to others: the exchange of resources. If, for example, you have extra Construction Materials, you can transfer them to your comrade's camp, and in exchange take what you need from him.

Building specialization

The specialization of buildings determines their characteristics and the bonuses they provide. For example, one of the specializations of the mine allows miners to collect ore faster, and another increases the likelihood that they will come across a vein with rare minerals. Some buildings will give your character access to professions they don't have (but don't expect to put buildings for all professions there - there won't be enough space).

At the beginning of the construction of the camp, you will have to interact with it quite a lot. But over time, it will take less and less strength. At lower levels, missions will have a shorter cycle (a few minutes, hours or days), and when followers reach higher levels, they can be sent on weekly missions. We want the military camp to be an important part of the game, while remaining simple, so that interacting with it is simple and enjoyable, and not annoying.

Your own base on Draenor

Your military camp is directly connected to gameplay Warlords of Draenor add-ons. It all starts when the head of your faction orders you to go to a foreign world and gain a foothold there - but what will be the fate of your fortress depends only on you.

Developers constantly introduce new locations for their users, make adjustments and are interested in the opinion of the general public in order to take into account their wishes in the future. One of these locations can be called the "Fortress". If earlier, back in 2011, only your castes and guilds were displayed here, now the player is presented with a wide range of opportunities for development, managing artifacts, and extracting resources in large quantities.

General information on the location "Fortress"

Players who have already reached level 50 can build their own fortress. You can buy access for 50k crystals or 100 green. Here you can hire your flyers as riders to get resources in special locations, and you can also rent riders to get different resources and percentage from each location. There is also a separate building for automatic control of flyers, descent into the dungeon to search for pandora chests and gold, a building for viewing complete list artifacts and other important sites.

To start using the location in full mode, you must first ennoble the site and build each building separately. To upgrade, you need to pay a certain amount in crystals and soapstones, or pay everything in greenery. If you pay for crystals, then the upgrade will take several days, if for greenery, then a few minutes.

By default, all buildings are built at the first level, but they can be improved. Upgrading is possible only for arena points, so we strongly recommend that you save them.

Buildings in the "Fortress" location

Let's go through each building in detail so that you know what it is for, whether it needs to be built in the first place, and also tell you about some tricks of the players.

1. School of generals. The main building where you can train your riders and hire them for fliers. In total, 5 levels were available, but not so long ago a sixth level was added. This is the main building that we advise you to upgrade first. The higher the level, the more coolness your mercenaries will have (read about coolness below). For beginners, the best option is 3 riders. If resources allow you to train and pump everyone - act immediately!
2. Corral. Here you can view full information about your riders, flyers, coolness, as well as the users who hired you, the time left at the end of the contract. There is an additional tab with amplifiers needed to increase the coolness when attacked by horror stories, to search for treasures on individual cards. Be sure to build this building to use all the "buns". Amplifiers when searching for treasures give a very good profit, and all the resources spent pay off with interest. Amplifiers are bought for the dust of adventurers, which is mined in intelligence in the hut. It will be discussed below.
3. Hut tourists. All flights of your fliers and riders are carried out here. Not to be confused with the contracts you make with other players! Here you let your flyers and riders hired in the tavern travel. In the "Intelligence" tab, you can send units to extract dust and pieces of the map. In the Treasure Hunt tab, you gain access to locations for pieces of the map and send your flyers, where they already extract resources for you: gold, feasts, crystals, and also full levels for some artifacts. For example, if a player has not assembled a boat to search for feasts, then in this location he can complete it without any problems!
4. Tavern. All the fuss about hiring riders happens here. You field your riders, which will be available for hire to other players, and you yourself look for riders for your flyers to fly in the hut. Please note that the prices you set increase several times for hiring from other players on the screen, so choose the best option after studying the approximate offers on the market. The higher the level of the building, the lower will be the percentage that is added to your price.
5. Watchtower. Monsters will constantly attack your buildings. In this tower, you will deploy 1-2 fliers for defense, or you will attack the monsters yourself to weaken their defense. For the attack, traces of monsters are needed. Obtained in the hut when you send units to explore.
6. Underground tunnels. This is an alternative to the dungeon, only here all actions are carried out automatically. You just need to choose a location for the descent and indicate which means you will use. Do not forget to purchase oils in the guild in advance to increase the chances of survival. In this building, you can mine a large number of pandora. During the day, you will have access to 6 trips, and if a good effect from the pandora falls out, then all 10!
7. Training camp. It is required for additional riders. If the building is not built, then you will not be able to rent out all the flyers. Try to raise it to maximum level to get maximum coolness.
8. House of the alchemist. Used for automated potion control. If you can not constantly monitor the brew, then use this building for automatic control. All operations are carried out free of charge, the main thing is that there are enough resources for cooking.
9. Control room. The principle is the same as at the alchemist's house, only here the control is carried out by flyers!
10. Armory. Again, it is designed to automatically change equipment, for example, if you go to a butt, then one equipment is put on, but if you beat horror stories, then another. Here you can fully customize the system for all cases!
11. Mill. Do you have artifacts and items that you don't need? Here you can grind them and get more interesting things. The benefit is not big, but at least something!
12. Museum. It displays complete information about all collected, not collected artifacts. All of them are divided into different categories for easy navigation. Having come here, you can immediately understand what to collect and what has been collected for a long time. Also in this building it is convenient to manage artifacts, receive daily bonuses. There is an additional tab "Attic", where you can buy a good increase in performance.
13. Reporting. Get reports on all the actions that you carry out in all buildings: extracted resources, hiring riders, information about coolness, attacks and other important information.

Important Tips! If you do not constantly monitor the location and protect the fortress, then the mobs will break through the defenses, and the buildings will be destroyed. Repairing each of them costs 5k kree (24 hours time) or 10 brilliant green (10 minutes). The developers also constantly introduce new additions to the fortress and provide permanent bonuses for players. Today in Botva this is one of the most important locations where you can get great amount resources.

is your character's stronghold on Draenor, the home planet of the orcs. It is here that you will begin to accumulate the necessary resources, hire NPCs - allies, and also prepare your troops for the battle with the Iron Horde. There are many buildings in the garrison, and each of them has its own purpose. Structures, like allies, are customizable, meaning they can be upgraded and modified, which immediately affects the garrison. Members of the party can enter the garrison - to evaluate how the base is planned, to trade special resources or to interact with mercenaries.

The invasion of the Iron Horde is fraught with great trouble, and this threat must be eliminated by any means. For this, the Horde and Alliance of their best warriors sent to Draenor, and you join the ranks of fearless fighters. This means that you will need an army, because without it you cannot survive in this world, where danger lurks at every turn.

Planning to build or what to build?

Now your worries are growing - you will need to carefully plan the development of your garrison, as well as find and attract allies. Without them, it’s like without hands: under your leadership, they will bring a lot of benefits - make useful items, extract resources, build buildings at the base, even fight in battle.

In general, garrisons are certain zones that are placed within the reality of the game's physical space. Each player, including you, can carefully examine them, to do this, go into different buildings and interact with comrades-in-arms. The entrance to the garrison is open, you can get there freely. But you can build your garrison only in two places in Draenor: in Shadowmoon Valley, where you can create an Alliance garrison, as well as on the Ridge Frostfire where you will build a Horde garrison.

As you know, a garrison is a fortress, and each fortress must have a developed and logical infrastructure. What to build? As already mentioned, each building provides its own capabilities, providing certain services. This can be the improvement and growth of associates, the provision of open access to various professions, as well as other bonuses during the game. It could also be access to resources, such as materials for artisans or preferences for garrisoned troops. In one of the buildings - the town hall - there is an architect who will help your character plan the territory and place buildings on it correctly and expediently. When you have companions, you will assign them to certain tasks, which will bring you many advantages. In particular, if you send a mercenary to the enchanting pavilion (the follower must have the necessary abilities for this task), then he will give you access to important formulas that allow you to give any weapon an original and unique appearance.

One of the categories of buildings in the garrison is the starting buildings, which are provided to all players without exception. In order to navigate the layout of the garrison, you can use the drawings of the garrison in addition to the help of the architect. From them you will learn how, what and where to build, how to modernize and change, how to improve and repair the corresponding structure.

In addition, there will be trophies and monuments and trophies in the garrison. The latter can be built by achieving certain goals. And you can collect trophies from the killed opponents or get after the successful completion of the task. For example, trophies will be brought to you by allies after a successful raid or other mission of a certain difficulty level.

Defense of your fortress

Your garrison will not be safe as it will periodically be attacked by enemies coming from different places Draenor. You can protect your garrison with the help of allies at any time, mercenaries will help you, even if you are not in the game at the time of the attack. Attacks on the garrison may be associated with ups and downs storyline games. Changes in garrisons occur depending on the increase in the level of your character and allies. These changes reflect the development of the participants in the game action. Among other things, the garrison plays a significant role in mastering the profession that your character will comprehend.

Having built a garrison in one of the two available zones of Draenor, you can no longer change its location, that is, move it to another zone. However, you have the opportunity to build outposts in the locations of the planet. It is interesting that in the garrison you can build three buildings, with the help of which you will begin to create different things according to almost all recipes, even without owning the profession itself.

The number of garrison plots for the construction of buildings is strictly limited and directly depends on what level the garrison is at:

  • plots of the 1st level - 1 small, 1 large;
  • plots of the 2nd level - 2 small, 1 large, 1 medium, 3 standard;
  • Level 3 plots - 3 small, 2 large, 2 medium, 4 standard.

Garrison levels

The level of the garrison can be increased - respectively, from the 1st to the 3rd. You can build a level 1 garrison right after you complete a few introductory tasks in Tanaan Jungle. You will build the Barracks and hire your first comrade-in-arms.

You can upgrade your garrison to level 2 only when both sites are occupied by buildings. If this happens, just click on the Town Hall icon in the game interface. When you successfully complete the "Better - Bigger, Better" task, you will automatically start studying all the drawings of the garrison, that is, any buildings (large, medium and small) of the 1st level. When you upgrade your garrison to level 2, you will get new slots for buildings - these will be sites for the Fisherman's Hut, Herb Garden, and also the Mine. It is noteworthy that the walls of your garrison will immediately become wider and higher. Upgrading a garrison to level 3 will require 5,000 gold coins and the same amount of garrison resources.

Thus, you will surely have something to do in your garrison. But it is very important that you have an idea of what exactly should be done, how to do it right and how to dispose of the help of your associates.

To become the owner of your own fortress, castle or palace in Europe - who has not dreamed about it at least in childhood? But not everyone knows that realizing this desire is often much easier than it might seem at first glance.

According to Zoopla analysts, every 15th buyer of locks in Europe is a Russian. For some, buying a castle is the realization of a romantic dream, for others it is a profitable investment that involves making money on an excursion program or organizing an unusual hotel, while others see the high mission of preserving world cultural heritage as the goal of acquiring “feudal” real estate.

From one euro...

Offers for the sale of castles and palaces for the European real estate market are commonplace, while the price range is incredible. The cost of a historic residence can range from 1 euro to several hundred million. As a rule, the older the castle, the higher its cultural and quite material value. In addition, the condition of the property, location, commercial use, and even …genius loci — the genius of the place — affect pricing!

The symbolic price, equal to a cup of coffee, for a historic object in disrepair is usually explained by the buyer's obligation to reconstruct the building while fully preserving both its facade and internal architecture and decoration. Such "compulsory" programs operate in almost all European countries. Often, three parties are involved in signing a contract for a transaction: the seller, the buyer, and the state. Therefore, when buying real estate for nothing, you need to be ready to invest millions of euros in it.

...and to infinity

On average, you can buy a residence in Europe at a price quite comparable to the cost of a good apartment in Moscow - for 2-3 million euros. For this money, you can pick up good historical real estate, for example, in Italy, Spain, Croatia, Hungary. It is possible to buy a hunting castle in the Czech Republic in quite satisfactory condition at a price of less than a million euros. Just keep in mind that the castle will stand far from the tourist trails, and therefore it is unlikely that it will be possible to make money on it. The most expensive real estate in this segment is in France: for a historic villa, you will have to pay at least 5 million in European currency.

The experts of the real estate market do not undertake to name the upper price limit: the most unique and expensive offers are outside the zone of public discussion.

Ghost supplement

A castle with a history costs 10% more than its average counterparts. Examples of castles "with history" can be the estates of d "Artagnan in France and Blicklinghall in Norfolk (Great Britain). The first belonged to the family of Charles de Batz, who became the prototype of one of the main characters of the famous novel by Dumas, the second is filled with ghosts. At least the local old-timers they say that in addition to the ghost of the wife of Henry VIII, the spirits of knights killed in duels live in the castle.

Responsibility and opportunities

To remake an acquired villa or palace to your taste is often absolutely impossible. Each European castle, which is under the protection of the state, imposes a number of obligations on its owner.

Firstly, even before concluding a real estate transaction, it is necessary to inquire about the issue of the tax burden. Property acquisition tax can be 15% of its value. Of course, for example, in the Czech Republic, real estate tax does not involve serious expenses, but in other countries it can be more than tangible. You also need to pay inheritance tax. In France, the sums can be colossal!

Secondly, it is necessary to be ready for close cooperation with the state body for the protection of monuments. As a rule, even door handles cannot be changed without his permission, and there can be no talk of replacing double-glazed windows.

However, the status of a historical monument can often turn into a benefit - grants for restoration from the state or public funds.

In France, it is possible to receive a financial grant for the maintenance of real estate, which compensates for 35-50% of the restoration work. In the Czech Republic - to receive finance under the state programs "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Real Estate" or "Provincial Development Program".

In general, in Europe, owners of historic buildings have the opportunity to repair objects at the expense of income tax. In addition, you can try to get EU subsidies for the maintenance of real estate, subject to its social use, for example, as a nursing home.

Simpler Options

Despite all the benefits from the EU states for the owners of castles and palaces, only truly wealthy people can afford to buy them, for whom this property is clearly not the only one. For lovers of antiquity with a more modest income, there are simpler options.

For example, towers. On the one hand, their historical value may not be inferior to large castles, on the other hand, the maintenance of such an object will be much cheaper.

Another option without having a solid account to live in a castle is to buy an apartment in it. Such offers are often found, for example, in the Italian market.
