Mods for test server 1.6.1

There are no special mod builds for the test server as it has been around for a limited amount of time. The instructions on how to install mods on a test server are the same as for a simple server - just add the mod files to the folder of the corresponding version inside the res_mods directory. The path to it will look something like this:

Of course, there is no guarantee that all mods will work, so there are no 100% working builds. Choose those that work in the most latest version main client - you can see the ones available for the main client. You can try at your own peril and risk to establish that the test server is probably not moderated as actively as the main one, and therefore or not necessarily provoke a ban. Why isn't the WoT test server available or connecting?

  • It may indeed be unavailable because the test has ended - see the table above for test dates.
  • Your account can be registered later than the set threshold - 2-4 weeks before the start of the test.
  • You may have problems with network settings, see the next paragraph for how to resolve them.

The test is running, but the WoT client (test server) still writes: "Unable to establish connection" or "You are disconnected from the server".

Try the following:
  • Try disabling your firewall and repeat the login procedure
  • Use the WGCheck program
  • Check the integrity of the client
  • Check the boxes next to "Add client to firewall exclusions" and "Advanced network diagnostics".
  • If the program does not automatically restore the client, create a report and attach it when you contact the support team later.

What is a test server and why is it needed?

Test server- this is the repository where the copy is stored and reproduced, but with some changes. Of course, before you make any changes to the game, you first need to test them.
The first ones see the changes in the WOT development staff, after which they give access to super-testers. If there are flaws, then they are corrected and the version of the new client is tested already under load. "Upload" a test version of the client to the backup server and open access to everyone. Again, the development staff is looking for bugs and shortcomings. After - fix and "roll out" new version client.

How to get to the WOT test server

To get to the test server, you need to download a special installer 1.6.1 or install Wargaming Game Center. Then run it. He will offer to download a test client - download it and install it. Next, a folder will be created World_of_Tanks_CT(in the directory where the player specified during installation).

What is multinationality?
A new feature in the game World of Tanks, which allows a Polish crew to land on the T-34-85 Rudy.

Important! We can only change the crew in the hangar, it will be impossible to do this in battle.

Why is this needed?

In order to pump the crew of different nations on the same car. If players like the idea, the developers promised to add more multinational tanks to the game.

When it is time to run a public test, an appropriate announcement will be published on the World of Tanks website. Shortly after, the developers will release a test version of the client. This can be downloaded by following. Make sure that you follow all of the instructions carefully, so that you don’t accidentally cause problems to your main play account.

Your test client account will usually be a copy of your play account, meaning that all the vehicles purchased and the research that you have completed will be the same. However, please note:

  • The test account is completely separate from your normal account. Achievements and research that you complete on the test client will not be carried over to your play account.
  • Financial transactions are not possible on the test server and payments will not be accepted.
  • Depending on the needs of the test, your test account may be credited with gold, credits and / or experience.

The test server is subject to the same EULA and general rules as the World of Tanks game server. This means that you still need to play nice or you will face the usual in the same way as you would on the official game server.

All test accounts will receive a one-time credit of:

The rate at which you gain credits and experience will not be increased for the test unless stated otherwise in the appropriate announcement.

These threads are divided into two categories: bug reports and general feedback about the test version ... The appropriate links will be provided in the respective announcement. The community managers will collect up all your responses on the thread and send them to the developers.

The sort of feedback we are particularly interested in includes:

  • Any bugs or glitches that you have found in the game. Got stuck in the scenery? Game crashes when you do a certain action? Tell us all about it!
  • Honest feedback about vehicles and game mechanics. If you think something doesn't function well, then please tell us.
  • Anything you particularly like? Do you love the new stats for a previously underpowered vehicle? Confirm to the developers that the community is now satisfied with that feature, letting them focus on other new improvements.

How to Join the Public Test

In order to join a test, please follow these instructions:

  1. Download the test client installer (the link will be provided in the announcement)
  2. Make sure you pick a save location that is different to your regular World of Tanks game files. Save and run the installer.
  3. Run the new copy of the game. The launcher will download all the additional data (the amount of data may vary).
  4. Log in and start playing. Remember to post your feedback in the appropriate forum threads.

Please be aware of the following:

In order to make the test experience more efficient, it may be necessary to limit the number of players on the test server. If the server is full when you log in, you’ll be placed into a queue.

The test server will be restarted regularly, according to the following schedule:

  • First Periphery: every EVEN day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
  • Second Periphery: every ODD day of the month. Average duration will be around 25 minutes.
  • Central Database: every day. Average duration will be around 2 or 3 minutes.

The test server may be subject to unscheduled restarts and maintenance.

IMPORTANT: Please remember that it is a test server. This means that you may encounter bugs and temporary features. Everything in the test version could change before the final release.
