The test server is downloaded as a separate client, where, like on your main client, you need to enter the data of the current account, under which you will test the update.

The test version of the game exists so that players can try out the future patch and, if possible, notice all the errors and bugs so that the developers can start fixing them before the patch is released.

How to become a World of Tanks 0.9.20 tester?

Everything is quite simple here - you just need to download the installer of the test client on the official website of the game or from our website (link at the end of the article), wait for the installation and log in under your name.

By the way, every player who got on the test server gets to use 20K gold, 100M Free XP and Silver per account so that everyone can try any tank in the game. After the test server closes, all gold, experience and money will disappear, and the account statistics will remain the same - the test does not affect it at all, it works like a separate game.

What changes will be in the new patch 0.9.20?

The most important update will be a branch of new Swedish tanks: a mixed and full-fledged branch of tank destroyers with unique vehicles at the top tiers. Many Tier VIII pre-tanks will be up-loaded. The rules for three and two calibers will be redone. Eleven tanks will receive new and colorful HD models.

1. Added personal reserves to speed up development on the "Front Line":
- As part of the general test added new type personal reserves that increase the amount of frontline experience for ranks received in battles in the "Frontline" mode.
- Reserve: + 100% to frontline experience per battle for 1 hour.
For example, having earned the rank of "General" in battle, you will receive 2,400 front-line experience instead of the base 1,200.

Reworked the logic for calculating a controlled bonus to experience for a tank premium. Now additional experience will be credited to the crew according to the same rules as it is credited for a battle:
a) If the checkbox for accelerated crew training is not enabled before the start of the battle (or is absent), then part of the experience goes to the crew, the rest is credited to the vehicle.
b) If the checkbox for accelerated crew training is enabled, then all experience is distributed among the crew.

c) The last victorious battle on the selected vehicle.

On the "Robinovka" map, the spotting point was balanced: trees were removed that interfered with reconnaissance from the positions of the northern team.

Changes to wheeled vehicles.

Optimization of engine settings has been carried out.
a) When switching between driving modes, wheeled vehicles will no longer lose engine traction. This is especially true when switching the driving mode from agile to high-speed. With such a switch, there will be no more deceleration before acceleration. Now, in such cases, the car will simply begin to accelerate to a higher speed.

We present the first general test of Update 1.1 with the Second Front personal combat missions campaign, a branch of Polish tanks, new and updated maps, and more.

Personal combat missions: "Second Front"

The long-awaited new campaign of personal combat missions "Second Front" is here. Three combat operations with different mission conditions and three new tanks as the main reward. This campaign will be a formidable challenge, and completing tasks will be richly rewarded.

The "Second Front" will be available to all players. If you haven't completed your first campaign, you can complete both sets of tasks at the same time. After the release of Update 1.1, we plan to gradually open operations: the first will be available immediately, then for those who completed it, the second will appear, and some time after the release, the third.

The Second Front is a new challenge for your playing skills. In the three operations of this campaign, personal combat missions will have different set conditions:

  • The first operation: you need to fulfill a certain condition for unlimited amount battles (for example, inflicting 10,000 damage in any number of battles). The tasks are cumulative and will require diligence.
  • Second operation: it is necessary to fulfill a certain condition in one battle. Very similar to the tasks from the first campaign: you have to show how cool you can be in one battle.
  • The third operation: stability is a sign of skill. You will have to show a consistent result in a series of battles (for example, maintain a certain average damage in ten battles in a row).

In the new campaign of personal combat missions, there are no strict restrictions on vehicle classes. Instead, national associations will appear, on the equipment of which you need to perform tasks - one chain (15 tasks) in an operation for each of them. There are four of them:

  • Union: USSR and China.
  • Block: Germany and Japan.
  • Alliance: USA, UK and Poland.
  • Coalition: France, Sweden, Czechoslovakia and Italy.

Three completely new vehicles with unique features will be rewarded as part of the Second Front. Here they are:

British Tier VI Tank Destroyer Excalibur

The machine, created in the framework of the British project, known collectively as "Beetles" because of the unusual shape of the body.

You will receive not only these cars, but also other in-game items, as well as a female crew.

You can track the completion of tasks directly in battle using the key Tab or N... This feature will only be available for new missions within the Second Front, but we plan to add this feature to the first campaign as well.

New Maps

Minsk

The map is at the stage of final optimization and revision. There may be performance issues on this card.

As you know, Minsk is a special city for Wargaming, because the company was founded here. On the map, we recreated the city center of the early 1970s, with some changes to make the gameplay more comfortable. If you have visited Minsk, you will recognize many places immediately. If not, just admire the cityscape and dive into the city's past!

Studzianki

This map is not based on any specific historical site. It was created based on the Battle of Studzianki and combines open spaces and confrontation points. At the location, you will find wide fields, a large amount of vegetation, small village buildings centered around a high church. The central point of the map is a small brick factory, which will become an important strategic point during the battle.

Changes to current maps

Calm

Many positions (including the aircraft carrier and the serpentine road) have been redesigned. The battles on this map will become more fair.

Siegfried Line

The positions of the northern team have been fortified on the map. Many points are reinforced with additional stones. The landscape has also changed.

Mines

The map required rebalancing, as it gave the northern team a significant advantage: the left flank provided them with more convenient and faster access to the central island. Using heatmaps and stats, we have made this location more balanced and fair to the southern team.

Provinces

Now only Tier IV-VII vehicles can fight on this map. With minor modifications to help the southern team, the bulk of the changes is to provide cover from fire in different positions.

Industrial zone

The map has been redesigned in HD quality, and its size has increased from 800x800 to 1000x1000 m.Changes have also been made that will improve game process for all types of equipment. In addition, the eastern part of the map has been completely redesigned.

Before the release of Update 1.1, we will publish a separate article with detailed information about the changes on each map.

Polish tech tree

WITH Polish card Polish tanks will also appear in the game. It's time to get to know new branch Technicians: Ten vehicles are ready for battle!

We decided to add this nation as a sign of respect for the dedication and bravery of the Polish people during the two world wars, when the territory of Poland was at the very center of conflicts.

The branch will start with LT at low levels, continue with LT at medium levels and end heavy tanks on high. Enter the game and test Polish cars in battle!

Shared Test Changelog

New campaign of personal combat missions "Second Front"

  1. The new campaign consists of three operations:
    1. Excalibur (available immediately)
    2. Chimera (will be available after unlocking for order forms, which will be credited on the evening of August 3);
    3. "Object 279 (p)" (will not be available on the general test).
  2. Each operation has four branches of tasks. Each branch is executed on machines of a certain union of nations (without reference to the type of equipment):
    • Union: USSR, China.
    • Block: Germany, Japan.
    • Alliance: USA, UK, Poland.
    • Coalition: France, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Italy.
  3. Access to the new campaign is open immediately and does not depend on the results achieved in the first campaign. Thus, the tasks of the two campaigns can be performed simultaneously.
  4. Each branch of the Second Front campaign has 15 combat missions: 14 can be completed in any order, and the 15th opens after completing all the previous ones (as in the first campaign).
  5. Each operation has its own peculiarities of performing tasks:
    • Operation Excalibur: cumulative tasks. The condition is met for an unlimited number of battles (for example, inflict 10,000 damage in any number of battles).
    • Operation Chimera: the condition is fulfilled in one battle (as in the first campaign).
    • Operation "Object 279 (p)": the condition is fulfilled in a certain number of battles. If it fails, progress is reset and the task must be restarted. This operation is not available on a shared test.
  6. For completing each task, a reward is given in the form of credits, equipment, etc. For completing the entire operation, a unique vehicle is issued that cannot be obtained in any other way.
  7. Added the progress of completing tasks in battle:
    • In version 1.1, progress will only work for the new campaign.
    • A detailed description of the accepted missions will appear in battle by pressing the Tab or N key.
  8. Now in the Hangar there are two indicators of personal combat missions - for each campaign its own.
  9. Operations of the "Second Front" campaign will open sequentially after a certain period of time. Those who complete an operation before the next appears will receive a unique emblem.
  10. The interface of the first campaign has been improved:
    • The main screen has been completely redesigned so that both campaigns can be displayed on the same screen.
    • The task card has been improved.
    • All elements were brought to a single form, taking into account the peculiarities of both campaigns.
    • Added new reward screens for completing personal combat missions.
    • Reworked the display of tasks in battle by pressing the Tab key.

Graphics

  • Added a map "Studzianka" in the Polish setting.
  • Added map "Minsk".
  • The "Industrial Zone" map has been transferred to HD and added to the game. Major changes:
    • The size was increased from 800x800 to 1000x1000 m.
    • The eastern part of the map has been completely redesigned.
    • Balance and gameplay changes have been made.

Submitted balance changes on the following maps:

Only Tier IV-VII vehicles will now be used in battles on the Provinces.
