Dragon Age Inquisition gambling addiction review. Dragon Age: Inquisition is more than fixing bugs. Preliminary review. You will never be better than an inquisitor

RPG fans have a reason to be happy this year, as another game in the series has been released. Dragon age... So, you can tell your friends that you have a lot of work, lock yourself at home, turn off your phone and go headlong into a fantasy world full of evil wizards, giant dragons and dangerous adventures.

Pros:

  • A huge world that you will definitely want to explore up and down.
  • Interesting characters and the relationship between them and the main character.
  • A very mature plot with many difficult moral decisions.
  • Excellent combat system, brought to mind.
  • A colossal amount of varied game content.
  • The ability to recall the previous two games using Dragon Age Keep.

Minuses:

  • The graphics of the game could still be much better.
  • Co-op multiplayer was added to the game just for show.
  • The game can take away from you great amount time.

What do we end up with? An epic role-playing game that I've spent over 90 hours of my life on in nearly three weeks. To give you an idea of how difficult it was to write this material, imagine that I had to take more than 600 game screenshots, some of which ended up in this review. The game really absorbs and dissolves you in its world. if you love Mass effect, then Dragon Age: Inquisition is the best way to pass the time before the release of the fourth part of the space saga. If you like fantasy, then this year this is the best game in this genre. If you enjoyed the first two games of the Dragon Age series, then the third game can be purchased without any hesitation. I rate the game 9 out of 10 points... And yes, I highly recommend this game for your review.

Thanks to EA for submitting a copy of the game for review. Completed the game on a PlayStation 4 console.

The first news about the continuation of the popular role-playing series Dragon Age appeared in the spring of 2011. The developers even arranged an interesting interactive event for their fans - on one of the forums, once a week, a topic was created in which a discussion took place new game... Everyone could express their thoughts in it. BioWare staff studied player reports and drew appropriate conclusions.

Apparently, most often players talked about what they would like to see in the new part of Dragon Age is really huge and open world, as BioWare has gone to great lengths to develop this very aspect of the game. As a result, Dragon Age: Inquisition has become the largest, most technologically advanced and incredible epic game studios. In gameplay terms, it is not a direct continuation of either the first or the second part. Therefore, it is not surprising that the number three disappeared from the name.

However, the developers did not completely discard the developments of the previous parts. It can be seen that the third Dragon Age was the result of a long search for the golden mean - they tried to appease both newcomers who learned about the existence of the RPG genre after playing The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and true fans of the "old school" who remember the tactics of the battle with Sarevok by heart. Therefore, we did not receive the new Origins, which was almost entirely based on the canons of Dungeon & Dragons.

Most likely, the developers decided that they would not be able to highlight their series by simply copying the original and releasing it on the market again, especially considering the fact that old school fans already have reason to rejoice in the face of Divinity: Original sin and Pillars of Eternity, due out this year.

As a result, we got a game in which BioWare managed to sensibly implement all of its most successful developments of the past years and move away from the classic D&D canons. In addition, in Inquisition, Canadian developers for the first time presented a well-functioning open world, which was one step above the boring Mako trips in the original Mass Effect. Although in the first place they still have the creation of elaborate characters and personalities of the characters, as well as the game universe.

Like a Gray Warden, only better

The second part of Dragon Age showed the players an uncharacteristic story for the studio, in which evil did not threaten the destruction of the entire galaxy, and almost all actions developed in one town, in which we were clearly shown what racial hostility is and why magicians with templars are not able to get along in one " home ". After looking at the assessments of the game and reflecting on what they saw, the developers decided to reintroduce the hero of all times and peoples into the game, trying to defeat a terrible evil from the distant past.

Although there are differences - if earlier we had to go out of our way to be recognized as a great hero and savior of all things, then in Inquisition the protagonist is almost from the very beginning considered the last hope of the entire human and non-human race. After all, only in his palm there is a mysterious mark with which he can close the gaps leading to the Shadow. As a result, he was named the messenger of Andraste and asked to head the new Inquisition - an organization that helped humanity to overcome another global crisis a long time ago. True, this does not prevent the peasants and the proletariat from asking the Inquisitor to light a candle on the grave of a relative or find a lost lamb.

The first stage of the game, we, of course, are looking for allies, recruiting into our motley team, both notorious thugs and refined natures. The unbridled pathos and incredible epic nature of what is happening are diluted with minor details and everyday problems that make Thedas truly alive and close to the real world... But all this can be overlooked if you quickly go over the main plot, without looking into the houses of the “NPCs” and without communicating with your comrades in arms.

If a friend suddenly turns out ...

BioWare's games wouldn’t be as interesting if the protagonist didn’t have a pack of associates with well-written stories and dialogues. Conversations with them not only allow them to reveal their identities, but also learn a lot about Thedas, who, in terms of his elaboration, is practically not inferior to Feyrun. From the mighty Iron Bull, you will be able to learn exactly what the philosophy of Kun is, as well as who the members of Ben Hazrat are. Cassandra will tell you about the structure of the Church and its problems, and Solas will reveal some of the secrets of the Shadow.

All the heroes in the game in one way or another are able to attract, and some even arouse real sympathy in the player. Not without old acquaintances - for example, a dwarf named Varric will again become a loyal friend for us, and Leliana will lead the network of spies of the Inquisition. Sera will certainly intrigue her with her eccentric nature and her habit of saying whatever she thinks about you and your actions.

Speaking of actions, satellites will still react to them by approving or disapproving. Fortunately, most of your decisions are no longer just black and white. More than once I had to make a choice when it was impossible to determine exactly what consequences it would lead to. This is not yet the level of "The Witcher", but it is very close.

Lifeless paradise

If in the second part of BioWare they stung all game world in one city and its surroundings, then in the Inquisition we were given several large regions of Orlais and Ferelden to explore. The developers are trying to show us again that we are in charge of the fate of the whole world. In addition, they made it possible at any time to quit all their affairs and just walk through the many kilometers of deserts, forests and snow-capped mountains.

But almost all large locations are completely torn out of the narrative. Most of the missions associated with the main storyline, take place on small scripted levels, and we walk through the woods and fields only to complete secondary quests and gain experience. Many territories are made with a soul, but they can quickly bore you because of the same type of tasks. The gameplay in this case is in many ways similar to the gameplay presented in the MMORPG - we wander back and forth to collect the necessary materials, kill mobs and send letters from one NPC to another. Unfortunately, most additional tasks based on the "give-and-bring" concept.

But the Grand Inquisitor, the savior of all suffering, has to put up with the laws of the game, because to open new places, to explore and advance through the plot, so-called "influence points" are needed, issued for the destruction of demons climbing through the rifts and completing side quests. However, it is not necessary to deal with all of them. To reach the required level and gain influence points, it is enough to complete a little less than half of such missions.

Over time, you will get bored of running around locations frozen in time, and you decide to return to your headquarters. Here you can talk with your companions, read texts related to the history of the world, sing along with the bard playing soulful music in a tavern, and create new equipment for yourself. As a result, you gradually begin to feel the very atmosphere. original game... Thanks to all these, it would seem insignificant trifles, the game world literally comes to life before our eyes. However, all this can simply not be noticed if you do not delve into the conversations and do not run around in search of interesting events.

Sacred hike

In the first and second Dragon Age, chapters with boring gameplay were also sometimes observed: one has only to remember the gnome tunnels from Origins or the same locations with constantly reviving enemies from Dragon Age 2. In Inquisition, all monotonous tasks are comfortably located in open levels. But the plot stories turned out to be incredibly epic, balanced and rich.

All story quests in the game have a well-calculated duration, and therefore they do not seem too short or unnecessarily long. A sufficient number of dialogues, battles, and spectacular videos are presented in them. Plus, even the most commonplace missions like meeting a mysterious magician from Tevintir can eventually turn into an exciting adventure with unexpected twists.

Although almost always everything comes down to battles with dark personalities, and in this regard, the third part noticeably wins over the second thanks to the improved combat system. Its basis remained intact - we all also energetically swing the sword, shoot arrows or shoot energy charges from the staff in real time, or pause the game and try to correctly place our fighters and correctly calculate our further actions. In the second part, the tactical mode was somewhat curtailed, but here it was refined and brought almost to the level of Origins. However, you will have to use it only if you are playing Inquisition at a difficulty level above normal. Otherwise, the tactical pause can only be useful to you in battles with High dragons to place your companions away from the mouth of the angry monster.

The number of abilities has decreased, but they all have a certain area of use. Instead of repeating the same order of activating skills, you have to pay a lot of attention to the correct positioning and control of opponents. For example, robbers need to attack their enemies from the flanks in order to increase their damage, tanks should cover their party members and go ahead, and magicians should control targets or try to inflict maximum area damage in a minimum period of time. Again, I will make a reservation that all this works only at high levels of difficulty - at the rest it is just the same you can constantly repeat the verified strategy. For example, the Rift Mage is able to pull all opponents into one point and inflict colossal damage using his skills that affect the area. Why come up with something new, if you can destroy even a dozen opponents at a time with one chain of spells?

The lack of healing skills and health regeneration causes inconvenience only at the beginning of the game - then you get used to this feature of the gameplay and adapt. If available in the group good tank and correct positioning in most battles, you can completely avoid injuries, and for serious battles, healing elixirs, healing bombs and potions are enough.

The combat system also looks good in the multiplayer mode, which is based on the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. It's quite fun to play, but it gets boring over time. In addition, the developers did not bother to somehow motivate the players. If in the final part about the adventures of Commander Shepard, the success of the battle with the Reapers largely depended on the online battles, then in Dragon Age: Inquisition we are given a little experience and average equipment for the successful completion of cooperative missions.

Pride of Thedas

In terms of graphics, the original did not stand out much among its competitors, except for the splashes of blood that covered the main characters from head to toe after each battle. Apparently the developers thought then that this way the characters would look more serious and more mature. In the second part, it was decided not to abandon this element, but in the third it became less noticeable. And if the first two games did not have a unique style, then Inquisition has it finally appeared, and it looks expensive and detailed. It is a pleasure to see, as every little thing has been done with a soul, from the masquerade masks worn by many Orlais residents to the stunning natural scenery.

It's not for nothing that Electronic Arts gave BioWare a new graphics engine created by the guys at DICE. Thedas sparkled with new colors, however, in fact, remained the same dark and gloomy. Magicians want to gain freedom, destroying everyone in their path and turning into insane demons - only a few are able to resist the temptation to gain seemingly unlimited power. Templars excommunicated, but did not cease to be addicted to lyrium, and red was added to the blue. Gray Wardens ready to do anything just to rid the world of Blights, and for them the goal always justifies any means of achieving it.

The developers in Dragon Age: Inquisition managed to bring to mind the ideas, the beginnings of which appeared in the second part. Game mechanics, the plot component, the characters of the characters and the decoration were put into a single whole.

It cannot be denied that BioWare was finally able to show us a true open world. Although it has little to do with plot tasks and is filled with tasks of the same type, however, for the studio this is a big step forward. Most likely, developers will continue to move in this direction and in next games show us more elaborate open spaces.

Thus, the third part of Dragon Age cannot be called ideal, but it is a good role-playing game that fans of the genre should definitely spend their time on.

An old acquaintance Leliana is busy with exploration and is in no hurry to tell anything interesting, as if she does not pay any attention to Morrigan, although they both went through a lot in Origins. Varric does not develop much, existing in the form of a macho-gnome, Merrill is mentioned in passing ... global map in a spirit that only causes deep disappointment in us, as true fans of the original. This is not to mention one single ending that looks pathetic against the background of past games in the series.

And even this could be forgiven if the authors gave their best with new characters. But, unfortunately, they are perceived ambiguously. Cassandra is strong and has a good backstory. Vivien looks gorgeous in a formal suit, but as soon as you take off her helmet, you find a shaved African with a boring librarian temperament. To the credit of the authors, it is worth saying that they prepared two unique characters in their own way - Cole, who boasts an excellent background, and Sera. The latter tears the templates with a unique manner of conversation, a bit reminiscent of the mad vampires of the Malkavian clan from the cult Bloodlines... Dorian has a good sense of humor and is one of the few heroes who somehow expands the universe of the game with stories about the structure of life in the Tevinter Empire. The iron bull looks impressive, but, like Blackwall, it does not cause much emotion. The story of the latter is presented rather crumpled and you will not be emotionally shaken, and it seems that that twist was made only as an excuse for one plot blooper from the middle of the game. In general, the entire heroic line-up resembles characters “ Sex in the Big City”- all the same forty-year-old aunts, gays and gnomes, leading a dissolute lifestyle.

One gets the feeling that some parts of the game's plot were outsourced to India - the songs by the fire and the monologues of the villains are worthy of the best Bollywood opuses. The production is so indistinct in places that it is not entirely clear what exactly the director wanted to say in this or that scene. Obviously, in a hurry, the authors did not have time to write the characters to the end. The heroes are not allowed to speak - the scriptwriters seem to regret the lines of the text. Solas's story is perplexing with an unexpected piano in the bushes, but obviously so BioWare burn bridges of imaginary nonlinearity and at the same time try to lead to future plot additions. Naturally, expect from the fourth part of the development of the plot Inquisition and the story of her heroes is no longer relevant.

The inconsistency of characters during plot dialogues and casual conversations on the battlefield. In one case, Dorian, without embarrassment, admits her one hundred percent homosexuality and complete indifference to females, in the second she flirts with female characters... Perhaps these lines were written by another author who worked in isolation from the main team, or the change in the hero's sexual orientation occurred at the very last moment and the scriptwriters simply did not have time to rewrite all possible dialogues. Roughly the same applies to Sera's branches. During the exploration of the locations, the heroine does not look like herself and rather resembles a stupid schoolgirl `` pulling others by the pigtails '', and not Robin Hood in a skirt. It's sad, because up to this point, she was quite pulling for the title of the best, or at least the most unusual heroine of 2014.

It is worth mentioning here the heroes who do not travel with you, but are in the headquarters. In addition to the master of espionage and secrets - Liliana, the Supreme Council includes Calen and Josephine. The dark-skinned beauty, who acts as your adviser on politics and communication with the nobility, has a well-written character and cute "tricks" like a notebook and a candle. The commander of the military, Cullen, known from the first two parts, also evokes extremely positive emotions, therefore, along with the bright sides of the rest of the characters, it cannot be said that the cast of the triquel was unsuccessful. It's just hard for him to reach the high bar Dragon age: origins... And the new heroes are very far from the same Merril.

Communication is still an important part of gameplay, since it is precisely this that allows one to obtain the set side quests where you can earn Influence is a desirable resource in the world Inquisition. The fact is that initially the storyline tasks are blocked and open for this special `` currency ''. And the further along the plot, the more influence points are required to open new missions. Additional locations and special quests may also require this valuable resource, so influence farming comes to the fore.

By completing quests and closing gaps in space, you will not only earn influence points and level up, but also discover many absolutely stunning scenic corners of the world, where architecture and flora are so impressive that your hand automatically reaches for the button Share... A dense forest with ancient ruins of elven temples, stormy shores with abandoned boats, huge waves crashing against the rocks, a gloomy swamp with small islands of land on which birches grow, a scorched desert with huge rifts leading into the void, a castle drenched in the pouring rain and gigantic chains covered with sea mud - graphically new Dragon age looks good. So great that you forget about the plot and monotonous assignments and just travel the world, getting real pleasure from the beauty and splendor of the landscapes. Sometimes the developers even create unique places, such as the time-frozen palace and its `` inhabitants '', referring to the sunken castle of Hyrule from, or a mansion filled with mysteries in style.

Subject quests They can also easily amaze with the quality of the work done by the artists: the authors elaborate in detail the absolutely incredible twisted spaces of the Shadow, flooded with dim greenish light, the picturesque disorder inside the interiors of ancient fortresses, complex ornaments, textures and every rivet on the costumes of numerous characters. Moreover, the armor is composite and is displayed depending on the selected configuration. What a pity that often you have to choose not the most beautiful equipment, which at the same time has the best performance.

Branches, if any, are not always interestingly worked out. So, choosing templars instead of mages, you will get the most uninteresting quest in the game. The mission of the magicians, on the contrary, is distinguished by the atmosphere and interesting twists in style, and the journey to the Shadow and the round dances around the fire look really unforgettable. The music during the gameplay is very difficult to hear, and you will spend almost the entire game in silence, but the songs are strong pointInquisition. The beautiful tunes of the bards in taverns will be remembered for a long time. BioWare next time you need to forget about the non-linear plot and role-playing elements and make a full-fledged fiction musical.

There are almost no important choices with complex moral problems in the game, the hero does not even have a full-fledged dialogue pumping. You can only learn three additional knowledge on the global map or take some characters with you, which sometimes open up new options in conversations with certain Npc, but this happens very rarely. The maximum number of decisions you can make is awaiting you only on the global map during the planning of the next action of the Inquisition. But as it turned out, these are only vague side effects that do not carry any deep meaning or value. Even the galaxy's readiness for war and the Horn construction rating in Mass effect 3 influenced the story more. Here, arranged in style Assassin's Creed management, at best, will open you access to a new zone or location for the next investment of influence points, but basically this is just additional money, resources, or, if you're lucky, items of equipment. The developers tried to tie up communication with the characters of the previous parts, which in Inquisition never even appear in the frame, but the implementation turned out to be rather dull.

The last few years for BioWare were not the most successful. The resounding success was followed by a series of failed decisions. Ambiguous, more reminiscent of Ellen and the Boys than an epic adventure; the "lazy" ending of the trilogy, which has disappointed millions of fans, about which controversy has not ceased to this day - all this did not in the best way affect the once impeccable reputation of the company.

Is the third and final game in the fantasy trilogy. After the disappointments of yesteryear, fans anticipated the project with apprehension, like the mantra of a tambourine: please don't suck. And it didn't turn out to be. Was the game a revelation? No. Was it worth the wait? Oh yeah.

Why, why always me?

And again, in Thedas, everything is not thankful. Out of the blue, mysterious portals all over the world begin to open, from which horrible demons break out in droves. And only the main character, endowed with the ability to close these gaps, can save the world. However, it will not be easy, because demons are not the only obstacle to peace and prosperity. In the best traditions of "Game of Thrones", the powers that be, instead of uniting in the face of a common threat, are more interested in internecine bickering. The player will have to lead a new order of the Inquisition, put things in order, drive the demons back to the other world and, of course, deal with his personal life. Where is the game from BioWare.

Character creation begins with the choice of race, gender, and profession. Again, as in the first part, you can play as a man, an elf and a gnome. Also now available is the race of horned buhais, the Qunari, which we have already met in previous parts... After the introductory video, the player gets access to the local editor of the character's appearance. A rather strange and funny picture turns out: in the intro we see one guy, and we play completely for another. But these are, of course, little things. Flexible character editor allows you to easily create your exact copy. Those who want something strange will be somewhat disappointed, because you can't create utter freaks - there are still limitations in the editor.

After creating a character, the player immediately plunges into the action. The first thing that catches your eye is a large, worked out world. No more "gut corridors". Huge locations are full of quests, treasures, secrets and much more. There is no complete freedom - as, say, in - here. The player switches between huge locations on the map. However, this limitation does not spoil the overall experience. The world of Thedas is magnificent and diverse: we have to visit the snow-capped mountains, in the desert, in the forests, in cities and villages. The scenery changes often and does not have time to get bored, and there are so many activities that the task log swells with notes. A real paradise for RPG lovers. And thanks to the powerful engine Frostbite, it all looks more than worthy and convincing.

Timur and his team

How many pieces did you cut something alive in one stroke? My record is three. But I have a couple more ideas ... The newly-minted inquisitor will not be alone on his journey. Our hero, as always, has to explore and save the world of Thedas in the company of colorful characters. Here BioWare again did not lose face and gathered a very motley group. Here you will find a cheeky elf Sera stealing pants from soldiers for fun, and a gay wizard Dorian, and a demon in the body of a teenager Cole. Our party members are not computer dummies, but individuals - each with its own character, worldview and skeletons in the closet. All of them are interesting in their own way, but I especially want to highlight the textured Qunari-truth-teller Iron Bull. His lines and comments are incredible throughout the game.

These two have a difficult past. NKVD woman and the gnome-who-knew-too-much,
migrated from the second part, now fight side by side.

Some characters migrated straight from the previous parts. The beardless rogue gnome-dreamer Varric and the adamant warrior Cassandra are no longer on opposite sides of the barricades. They fight shoulder to shoulder in the detachment of the new inquisitor, periodically teasing each other and remembering their difficult acquaintance. An old acquaintance - the Templar Cullen, who appeared in all parts of the series - is now our trusted advisor. Well, the fatal Morrigan ... However, you'll see for yourself. The player will have many pleasant meetings, which are not worth talking about, so as not to spoil the pleasure.

War and Peace

I'm here to fix this and look amazing. The second part is a little easier for me. Combat system Inquisition combines the tactical elements of the first part and the uncompromising action of the second. The game can be paused at any time and switch to the isometric top view in order to assess the situation on the battlefield and give the necessary instructions to fellow soldiers. Or you don't have to bother and crush enemies in real time without stopping for a second. The game is able to satisfy both fans of haphazard massacre and sophisticated tacticians and strategists.

In between battles, saving the world and lisping with squad members, the player, as a venerable Inquisitor, must develop his organization, ensuring the growth of its influence. As the Inquisition grows stronger, new opportunities open up for the protagonist. Over time, for example, it will be possible to send agents to small quests, who will return with a reward.

In addition, from time to time the player will have the opportunity to judge those who let him down. All this creates an amazing effect. Towards the end of the game, you feel like a really influential person who runs a serious organization and whose opinion is considered by many - if not all. In the same Origins, until the very end, the main character resembles some ragamuffin who is forced to convince everyone of his usefulness.

The same cabbage soup, but pour it thicker

Bad things have to happen to bad people. If I find out that someone is not so bad ... Maybe he will not be so dead. A big fly in the ointment is the absolute secondary nature of the game. Honestly, we've seen it all. Inquisition is completely devoid of fresh ideas. The developers went the simplest way and made a game that sometimes tries too hard to please absolutely everyone. Dragon age: inquisition- a sucker game. She is afraid to take a step to the side and does not surprise at all. Glossy, fine-tuned, high quality product. Yes, exactly the product. Apparently, there is practically no room left for creativity.

Here is one of the funniest and most uncomfortable scenes in the history of games.
The Iron Bull surprised everyone with his ... charisma.

On the Dragon age: inquisition really colossal hopes were pinned. This project could become both a kind of atonement for past sins, able to restore the outraged honor of BioWare, and the last nail in the coffin of the once great company. It's funny, but the game has become both in some way. On the one hand, we see a first-class role-playing game of the highest standard. On the other hand, there is a lack of ideas and an almost complete absence of a soul. Apparently, "as before" will never be.

Despite some disadvantages, playing Dragon age: inquisition definitely worth it. Being one of the most ambitious projects recent years, the game can drag on for many hours and make you forget about sleep, food and work.

Honorable Knights and Mighty Priestesses! We kindly ask you to forgive that Dragon review Age: Inquisition appears only now. What is the reason for the delay? It took over 100 hours to complete this beautiful and wonderful game. As a huge RPG fan, I have just returned from paradise.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - Reviews

BioWare repented for bad game Dragon Age 2, which, despite such an expectation, still let its fans down, it turned out to be unfinished and in general turned out to be boring, without a soul. Although Dragon Age: Inquisition is not perfect game future, it more than compensates for previous disappointments. One thing we're sure of - there hasn't been a better RPG during 2014.

Dragon Age: Inquisition 2014

The Dragon Age series has never sinned with an excessive scale of the visual plane, but in the Inquisition game, everything changes dramatically. BioWare brings in a powerful engine that has done just fine in games like Battlefield or Need for Speed.

It turns out that the flexible tool, designed for dynamic products by Electronic Arts, is also ideal for games with less action intensity.

Suffice it to write that it was while playing Dragon Age: Inquisition on ps4 that I took almost 300 screenshots. Such "pictures" just want to look always, in addition to the screensavers created by BioWare, they will not leave anyone indifferent. Just like in Skyrim, you just have to drop anchor and enjoy. The variety of locations, climate and architecture gives us an incredible wealth of beautiful screenshots. It is a pity that against their background the characters are drawn no more than average.

Pictures in Dragon Age

Unfortunately, while the world of Dragon Age: Inquisition is beautiful, it's not always alive. Sometimes this is an empty fiction, which is filled with tasks in various directions, giving the impression of something sucked out of the thumb. “Go from point A to point B, take a mission, admire the view in the background, then collect 10 roots and return to the starting point” - unfortunately, something similar happens here too. Not very often, not on such a scale, but nevertheless.

Fortunately, these are just exceptions to the rule. In most cases, the player not only completes interesting missions, but also shapes the surrounding reality.

Walkthrough

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, almost everything falls on the shoulders of the protagonist. We are no longer starting with a simple warrior, as in the two previous parts. Now we have possessions, influence on the politics of the country, on the kingdom itself, even on the whole world. The main character- this is the "top" for which, as a rule, tasks are performed. Alpha and omega, the beginning and the end - a very pleasant prospect, but unfortunately not fully exploited.

It should be noted right away that there are a lot of choices in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Forging alliances, sending diplomats, investing in trade routes, building contractors, expanding the garrison, expanding the fortress, deciding individual creatures or even deciding the fate of entire kingdoms, if, like me, you adore making decisions in games, you will be delighted. The problem is that we don't really feel like our decisions have consequences.

The problem is scale. The main character was so influential that at some point we stopped understanding the dramas of individual characters.

The above situation negatively affects our relationship with characters met on the way by independent heroes. The tasks that I received from the emerging characters were mostly formulaic and without imagination. In this regard, Dragon Age still has work to do.

Fortunately, comrades save the situation. Talking to them is a real pleasure. Indomitable warrior Cassandra, dashing dwarf Varric, seductive Vivienne, cruel Blackwall - this is all the first league when it comes to dialogues. A hybrid of Rambo and James Bond in the form of an indomitable Iron Man - this creation deserves a golden statuette. Dialogue during battles with dragons is something! It just needs to be seen. Incredible creation.

The retinue not only has something to say, they are one of the leading elements of the entire Inquisition. Waiting for the player at his headquarters, they comment on our actions, suggest further measures and ask for solutions to particular problems. The important thing is that the comrades also conduct discussions during the mission itself. I would like the walks to be really long, but they are very substantive and do not require the player to spend in-game money to increase instincts.

We enjoyed Dragon testing Age: Dragon Age: Inquisition on PlayStation 4. Controlling with a mouse and keyboard is not the most convenient, even despite the long minutes spent in the settings, and if you have a controller in your box - save time and relieve yourself of torment. The sad thing is that RPGs have become much more convenient on the console today.

We were delighted to hear about an additional tactical mode. Until I had to use it. Fighting in the Inquisition is a relatively dynamic action and at least evasion is lacking for the correct tactical combat mode. Without them, confrontation is reduced to the banal pressing of additional buttons, without taking your finger off the attack button. It could have been better.

As a consolation for fans of arcade games, you can write that duels with the toughest opponents are very useful. Fights with a giant or a dragon are already long exchanges of blows for more than one minute.

Outcome

In one word, Dragon Age: Inquisition 2014 is wealth. Wealth of modes, world, opportunities, abilities and even races. In addition to the main plot, which is accompanied by artistic cutscenes, the player receives dozens of side missions, can create and improve weapons and armor. Horse riding, castle management and team development are just the tip of the iceberg.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is the best game of 2014. Where the creators lacked sophistication, everything is compensated by the scope. Verdict - Play to make sure this is an awesome game.
