The genre of post-apocalyptic survival with a harsh zombie theme has not gone out of fashion, and this is a clear confirmation of this. After going through a tough annual beta test, the game has reached release with a bunch of nice new features: a full-fledged co-op, updated locations and new system crafting.

The introduced cooperative mode will allow players to jointly build bases, study game card and real survival in a zombie apocalypse. Despite the declared convenience, the network aspect has one unpleasant property: the promised maximum number of players - 16 people - can only be achieved through connecting to a common host of four groups that are in the mode.

But even with such conventions, it is a good cooperative game, for which he receives eighth place our rating.

The best farming simulator in existence has been highly acclaimed in the series: the fan base has grown, and the gameplay has become in demand among a wide range of fans of this genre. So, he confidently entered our top co-op games, leaving behind a dozen boring shooters and sandboxes.

A specific multiplayer mode, which is not based on any competitive nature, will allow ten players to create a collective farm: jointly rent land, engage in plowing and construction, get carried away with crop and livestock farming. It would seem that such a passive gameplay is only discouraging, but in fact, the massiveness of different functions gives the player great interest and motivation.

This palette has put one of the most colorful cooperative games of the outgoing year.

The visual style, characterized by accentuated lines and contrasts, perfectly complements the two-person co-op. The gameplay mode does not offer anything new: the players remain with the same range of abilities, and the enemies do not become smarter. But in the process, ways of joint interaction are revealed, implicit and hidden in single-player mode - they add variety and interest to the game.

According to our editors, the title of the best cooperative game of 2016 deserves a small, simple, but painfully exciting, offering joint story passage for four people per mode.

Architecturally, the game does not have any complex elements, its principle is simple and clear. But the gameplay process is hardcore and even hostile towards the player, which is not at all a disadvantage in the cooperative passage. High speeds, tons of tasks and lack of time - all this combined makes the gameplay fun and even funny.

All the running around is harmoniously complemented by the locations and the conditions for their passage. On the large storyline map, the main places appear, from which even goosebumps run: the vents of volcanoes, pirate ships, lost islands, long highways, ice blocks - each location determines a certain number of conditions. So, at sea it feels sickly, and the ice is really slippery.

After playing many hours, our editorial office confidently declares: it is the dominant, but underestimated contender for the place of the best cooperative game of the past 2016.

Bald Luo Wan, diligently copying the image of a charismatic and brutal hero, judging by the high ratings of our gaming community, still fell in love and was accepted. His bloody brutality, cold skill and sarcastic remarks were placed in the top three co-op games.

The sequel to the relatively disastrous Shadow Warrior of 2013, the game has literally hit the top-notch ratings through some gameplay and story transformations. So, the locations, the arsenal, the enemies and the character himself fell under a minor alteration: the map became larger and brighter, the weapons acquired new trash devices, the hellish creatures clearly diversified and multiplied, and the hero learned new tricks, became more accurate and honed his black humor.

Tom Clancy's plot, as usual full of ideas about political conspiracies and overflowing with the author's thought about a harsh alternative reality, placed the players in a snow-covered and dead New York, overwhelmed by a severe pandemic. This post-apocalyptic setting came to the taste of the players and appeared in our top.

The game world, locally divided into PvE and PvP zones, provides players with a huge foothold for cooperative and competitive gameplay. So, along with the dynamics, the difficulty increased: the bosses became hardened, their weapons sharpened, and the main character, on the contrary, weakened.

But there is a way out of this seemingly hopeless situation, and it lies in the co-op, which is familiar to the series. The dark dungeons are illuminated with fiery clues, and the souls of the dead run from time to time in strange and dubious alleys, warning of the impending danger. The idyll is complemented by phantoms, who, at the call of the artifact, come to the rescue in an unequal battle with some bloodthirsty dragon. This kind of multiplayer experience remains emblematic and enjoyable for any Dark Souls fan.
